On my way back to the hotel after work in the evening hours on a Thursday night, I noticed Pranzo Pizza & Pasta on my way to the seaport area on water street. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, the owner greeted me with a welcoming "hello" and had asked if I had any questions on the menu. Since it was my first time inside Pranzo Pizza & Pasta It took me a few minutes to know what I wanted to get for dinner.Pranzo Pizza & Pasta offers a wide range of options from their menu such pasta, sub sandwiches, pizza by the slice, and much more! After reviewing their menu, I had decided to order the following1 Slice of their Cheese NY Style pizzaChicken Parmesan sandwich The meal wasn't too expensive, less than $20.00 for both items. Their restaurant has plenty of table seating available if you wanted to eat inside. I instead decided to take my order to-go, back to the hotel. The food was pre-cooked at the restaurant and the team bagged each item separately.The pizza slice was delicious! It had a ton of cheese and the sauce was quite flavorful. The dough was cooked perfectly and the bottom of the slice wasn't burnt. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich was good. It would have been better though at the restaurant as the cheese had cooled a little bit on the walk back to the hotel. The bread used for the sub was really good! The inside was soft, and the outside had a slight crunch to it. The chicken was tender and scrumptious!The food is delicious at Pranzo Pizza & Pasta. Next time, I'll have to try their calzones! They looked so yummy!

Great food, pizza, quick service, and a chill ambiance. Eat here when going to or from the Ellis Island / Statue of Liberty tours. Just a 5 minute walk from the boarding port.

I went with a chicken roll after being super indecisive, only to hear most people ordering the meatball hero. Ill have to come back and try that one or any of the parm hero's which seem to be the most popular items here. My roll was a little over cooked i wasn't too happy with the chicken and the oven heated it up way too slow, it seems like just the outside was warmed up. Kind of odd. Overall this place gets super busy around noon. Not a bad option for lunch.

Stop by here with a buddy and got a couple slices of pizza it was OK I got to Sicilian it was pretty good and pepperoni and I also got it was pretty good but it wasn't anything over the top compared to other New York places especially for the prices

I'm still remembering how delicious my meatball calzone from Pranzo was...they definitely did not skimp on the cheese (and was that ricotta in there? I see you excelling Pranzo, I see you!) but for $2 extra, they could have thrown in some more meatball! Next time I will just go for original.Pranzo itself is a very unassuming, casual place - I always go after lunch hour rush so I can't comment on the crowd. Service was speedy and prices are very reasonable. Less than $10 for a very hearty and filling meal? Yes please!Also noteworthy: the marinara sauce. I'm not a huge fan of tomato sauce - I tend to skip it if I can. But the sauce they gave me here? Amazing...I devoured that stuff!
