The place is very busy when we came on a Thursday night without reservations. We were told it was a 30 minutes wait. The waiter seated us by the bar because we didn't want to wait. Staffs were friendly. The place is nice. We order a small crab fried rice which is the best fried we had in a while. The Klui Goong (5 shrimp rolls) were perfectly crispy shrimp rolls with dipping sauce. The shrimp rolls tasted good without the sauce. This restaurant definitely deserves their Michelin stars. Will definitely return by here and next time dressing for the occasion. Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5

Michelle Award Thai Restaurant in NYCYou will feel like you are in Thailand once you step inside. The atmosphere is very lively, friendly and warm. We ordered Mar Mar More Fire which is a bomb. Elevated MarMar noodles soup with fresh seafood.Khao Yum is a Thai salad with various vegetables which is crunchy, refreshing with sweet and sour taste. All dishes are perfectly cooked.Price is at a higher side but worth every penny.Must try if you like Thai food.

I DO NOT understand the hype. And definitely think this does not deserve to be Michelin recommended.I came for my birthday dinner and was very disappointed. We waited way past our reservation time. And we were out of the restaurant in 30 minutes (this was from the minute we sat down at our table to when we left). We were served no more than 5 minutes after we placed our order meaning everything was premade ahead of time. I ordered a sticky rice and I had to send it back because the rice was hard and dry (it was definitely either sitting out for a long time or they tossed it in the microwave to warm up before they serve it).Our whole party ended in the bathroom for two days because of the food. We WILL NOT be back. If you're looking for Thai food around the same price point you're better off heading to Fish Cheeks.

We had 8 pm dinner reservations and we were seated promptly. We had been instructed to be on time, table would only be held for 10 minutes, all members of our party must be present to be seated, and we were told (3 times!) that we could only stay for 90 minutes. We had a lovely corner table but we were freezing. Up above us was an inaccessible open window and this was a very cold night in February. There is a heater but it was not situated well; anyway, we got used to the cold (I kept my coat wrapped around me). We shared a garden roll for an app and it was okay, nothing great but it was acceptable. Our drinks were good; we all drank different kinds of wine I had the green curry and it was tasty. I also had some sticky rice, also good. One of my friends has shrimp pad thai and she enjoyed it. My other friend had fried rice with chicken. She said it was tasteless. She probably should have asked for some chili sauce or soy sauce, but she didn't. The restaurant is clearly popular; it was packed and people were waiting for tables. Lots of delivery orders were also noticeable. This restaurant is over rated, in all of our opinions. The food was nothing outstanding, there were too many rules, and it was pretty expensive too. I don't plan to return.

I completely understand how they received a michelin status back to back. They do not skimp out on flavor at all! We walked in to a fairly packed area near 9pm but had availability at the bar. I def felt like I walked into Thailands street vendor area, casual and lively. Though I never been the details, from the staff wearing orange jackets as an homage to Thailand's motorbike taxis to the temple like decor was such a sweet touch. The staff is super kind and welcoming. The bartender gave us great recommendations to begin with. My date had the chicken basil fried rice, which had the right amount of spice to enjoy. I got the kraw moo sub which was SPICY yet soooo good. I was sniffling while downing it. There was so much umami in the dish. I look forward to returning to try more of their extensive menu. Lastly as a Thai Ice Tea lover they already have a warm spot in my heart by amplifying it with a slushy version.

Great thai place near Union Square. The ambiance was very modern and was nicely designed in a thai theme. We got crab fried rice and the curry beef and would highly recommend it. The tomyum had good flavor but was extremely salty to the point we diluted it with some of our water. The steak we got was also very tender but the portion was tiny. Overall, I would come back for the rice and their curry dishes!

Came here with friends for dinner, and as soon as you step in, you're greeted by the unmistakable pungent aroma of fish sauce--if that's not a sign of authentic, flavorful food, I don't know what is. The decor was very nice and it definitely fit the vibe they were going for. The service was nice and they were very attentive! We ordered a ton of dishes, and overall, everything was delicious. While a few items were slightly underwhelming, they were still solid. The salads we got were absolutely packed with flavor and were definite highlights. The Mama More Fire dish was incredible--it reminded me of the creamy shrimp Tom Yum instant noodles from Mama, and honestly, that's high praise!I'll definitely be back whenever I'm craving amazing Thai food. Highly recommend!

Happy New Year! Happy 1700 reviews for me! Happy way to start off 2025 with a successful visit to a restaurant an anonymous Yelper recommended to me.As I will be headed to Thailand at a later date (no telling right now), this restaurant is a great way to get into that Thai vibe. Thai cuisine is known for vibrant color, massive flavor, aroma, and spice. This restaurant carries it all the way through, and I did not have to go too far off the subway to get it. Situated right by the 14th Street-Union Square station on the 4/5/6/N/Q/R/W/L (yes, each of those lines), it is easy to see why this restaurant is plenty busy. The interior for Manhattan standards is quite possibly stunning. Two floors, but nobody is on top of each other. The layout is well thought out, and hearing Thai music play throughout the restaurant is a pleasant change of pace compared to the other restaurants that try to pump out popular American music or that drippy stuff that can put you to sleep. This is fun, modern, and effective. The servers are all incredibly cute with their safety vests and great know-how, in addition to their speedy service without skipping a beat. All of them are part of the reason why I left full, but wanting to come back for more. I will be back here, let me get that out of the way for you now. I ordered the Chicken Wings and the Drunken Noodle (the menu calls it by its traditional Thai name, the Pad Kee Mao), and both are impeccable. The wings are meaty, juicy, crispy, served with a sweet chili sauce that is effective and could be placed on anything. Served hot, these five wings are the perfect way to get things going here. The Pad Kee Mao is also hot. Hot as in spicy. Be ready to order a Thai Iced Tea to cool everything down or you will be feeling it later on both ends. It is a generous portion of food. The chicken (the protein I ordered) is the one to get each time, though getting shrimp would work too. Stick with the chicken though. Next time I would like to try a Tom Yum soup with shrimp; I did not order it this time as my server said it is more an entree than an appetizer here. Good call for her for me not to get it.I had so much fun eating here and enjoying my experience. If this is a strong indicator of authentic Thai cuisine, Thailand here I come!

Wow! No wonder this place is on the Michelin guide! The aura of this place is so cute, the vibes is more like street food vibes, the waiters are dressed as if they are street vendors too. The decor is so thoughtfully out together and makes me nostalgic as my family is from Thailand. Very spacious place. We came during opening time and was sat right away with reservations. We started of with drinks and we had some sort of bourbon, drink with ginger and lemon, and it was delicious , we had to order more. For appetizers we had the pork belly sautéed in chili and I believe kaffir leaves and we had deep fried gnocchi mushrooms with a side of minced chicken salad, chefs kiss! As for entrées, my friend ordered the pork pat kra pao topped with a fried egg (holy basil dish) and I ordered the pork lad na (broad soy sauce noodles topped with a rich gravy snd chinese broccoli and a poached egg) it was top-notch and the presentation is beautiful and delicious. For dessert we had the coconut pudding and the ice cream sundae, I've never had a dessert like this, so unique and a blend of different textures and flavors. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted the mango sticky rice and they didn't have it available that night but I will absolutely come back multiple times so I can run through the menu, great service, it's a bit pricey and so make sure you come with money ready to spend, this ran us $240 for 2 people. highly recommended

Beautiful ambience and the food is excellent. Appetizers are easily shareable. Highly recommend making a reservation though because it fills up.
