3rd visit-1st reviewP.D.T. is quite possible my favorite & best speakeasy in Manhattan.Although it at times can be super difficult to get a resy, this is well worth the trouble. I've been here a total of 3 times & every visit I was met with excellent service & even better drinks. Super small, super cozy speakeasy that's tucked inside crif dogs "phone booth". Once you walk into crif dogs you'll see a "phone booth" to your left. Follow directions & a secret door opens. The hostess will take your name for your resy (or if you decided to pop in, they can take your name down which is usually a 3-4 hour wait) & let you in. There is very limited seating, only maybe 5-6 tables and a few booths & a bar that seats about 12. They do everything extremely well, the service, the drinks, the music. If you end up getting hungry they have a limit food menu that's served up & comes from right next door & will surprise you with how delicious it is. Their variations of tots is a MUST try. Need a bar tucked away that serves great drinks, good music & good food & isn't rowdy or super crowded? Then you must make your way to please don't tell A.S.A.P.

A cocktail bar you enter through a phone booth in a hot dog restaurant. It doesn't get more gimmicky ! A prohibition themed speakeasy with a desk intimate setting but also cool for a group. It's a chill laid back casual but still classy environment. You ring the phone and they open the door to let you in. We found this place on a whim so didn't have reservations but we got lucky to get in for a table that was available for 90 mins. Which was great as we just wanted a drink. Recommend a reservation though! I loved the bar area and the place was so busy for early evening in NYC. The drink menu was fantastic. Such fun drinks. Also lots of wine and beer. They serve some elevated bar food too. They favor tater tots a lot! We skipped food but drinks were great . I honestly don't remember the name of the drinks we ordered but I don't think you can go wrong here. They had so much variety for every liquor. They were delish I remember that! This is such a cool place to put on your bar rotation and the music was insanely good ! Lots of throwbacks. We had the best time here on a chilly Sunday.

A NYC classic - we bring all of our visitors here, and it doesn't disappoint. The experience entering the space is fun, but the drinks are even better. Creative and tasty in a perfectly intimate setting, this is perfect for friends chatting or for a first date.Sometimes a loud or obnoxiously drunk tourist can ruin the vibe, but they tend to be one and done and leave pretty quickly, whether on their own or because of gentle pressure by staff. The ability to order food from Crif Dogs is great but unless you're a bit buzzed (as I am usually) it's cheaper to just leave and eat outside haha

Great cute speakeasy experience in that you have to enter through a phone booth. For a group of 5-6, it's a bit crowded because you just have a small booth. Honestly, there wasn't too much niche/specialized cocktails that made it stand apart. They were great but typically I'd think there would be something unique. There's options for much higher end food and cocktails too. Got the Hanoi dog for food which was decent, it didn't really remind me too much of Vietnam. It's cute for a visit but may not be my most favorite .

Super yummy food that you can eat while waiting for your table at the speakeasy. I would recommend making a reservation before, had to wait about 30 minutes on a Sunday for a party of 3 without a res!

I've been wanting to come here for years! Every time we would be in the city, I'd try and fail to get reservations. But this time it was much easier to snag a reservation, which I did excitedly. It was a big let down. Both our drinks were sub par. We didn't finish them. Service was extremely slow. We sat at our table for maybe 10 min before our server ever came over. That's not the end of the world, but it wasn't busy, so it was odd. You can order hot dogs with your drinks, which we were excited about. It was so terribly fatty that I couldn't finish the hot dog. It was literally just hunks of fat. I'm sure they have some good things that keep them going, but this place just wasn't for us.

I came here back in 2018 and while telling a friend about great speakeasy's in NYC I thought to myself let me write a review about this place. I went in not knowing what to expect. My friend was leading as we made our way to various bars and food places around NYC. Once we walked in I definitely thought to myself ... I don't really want hot dogs. I began looking at the menu just to see if anything piqued my interest. While looking I began to notice that people were walking in and then they were suddenly disappearing lol. My friend then let me know that we would be going to a speakeasy and that we needed to go into the phone booth to make our walk in reservation. This was also where people were going to enter because there was a door within the phone booth that let you into the bar. So cool!I can't remember how long we waited before they sent us a text letting us know that there was space available but luckily there's a lot of other businesses right in this area that you can spend your time while you wait. When we were finally inside the space it was very small and quaint. There was dim lighting and the bartenders had a world of knowledge about the cocktails. Still to this day this has been one of my favorite speakeasy experiences ever. Bravo to the creators!!

Finally got a reservation to PDT and I think it's totally worth the hype!! The drinks were delicious and unique. The place has your quintessential speakeasy vibe complete with the secret phone booth entrance inside Crif Dogs leading to a dimly lit, cozy, intimate space. Our bartender was super nice and helpful in terms of giving us a sense of the flavor profile of the drinks. I would definitely come back time and time again!

This speakeasy was super unique. Hidden within a hot dog store, you have to call them within a telephone booth. We had to ring a couple times before they picked up, but once they did a back door within the telephone booth opened up to reveal the speakeasy.I walked in with a party of 6 but I think we got super lucky because a party was just leaving when we got there.The actual speakeasy was dark and decorated with cabin-esque vibes, featuring animals and portraits on the walls.They had a superrr extensive menu, I don't know if I've ever seen such a big one. I ended up ordering the quechua key and it was so so yummy. I would definitely come again, very unique experience!

Please do tell people about this place! A fabulous speakeasy hidden right next to a hot dog shop. The entrance looked like a genuine speakeasy. We were quite confused how to get in. You have to use one of those old school telephones and dial a number, and then someone will come out of the telephone booth to assist you.The vibes were immaculate. Not too loud music. Dimly lit but also not too dim. Cool decorations. Our party of 3 were seated at the bar and given great recommendations by the bartenders based on our personal preferences. The drinks were high quality and smooth. My friend also ordered a hot dog, because why not!
