I came here for dinner on a Friday night. We arrived five minutes before our reservation, but had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. Logistics were a tad messy because several parties were standing around waiting while delivery personnel tried to navigate around them to pick up orders. The restaurant is very large. The bar in the front is gorgeous, featuring mirrored metallic decor. They have a large main dining area, a few tables in the front, and an additional bar and seating downstairs. We sat downstairs. The tables were a bit snugly close to each other so you could hear the party next to you, but it wasn't too bad. The music wasn't loud and it was easy to hold a conversation. We came for their Valentine's Day special. For $68 per person, you could share 5 dishes + 2 desserts were included. To start, we had the bang bang broccoli. This was probably my favorite dish of the evening. The broccoli were batter fried and deliciously crunchy. The sauce had a distinct and satisfying peanut flavor. We also got the crispy gyoza. Instead of the usual individual dumpling pieces, this was served as one giant, round mass, which was fried on top and had a pocket for the filling underneath. It sat atop the dipping sauce. It was okay; mostly tasted like a regular veggie gyoza. It was a bit difficult to cut and share, so something to note when ordering. For entrees, we started with the volcano roll. This was served with about eight pieces. It was tasty and all the ingredients were well balanced. We also got the udon noodles. I adore truffle so this was a must try for me. I loved that they used a traditionally Asian style noodle with an Italian sauce. However, the flavor was quite mild. It needed a sharper cheese in the sauce, but I still enjoyed it. Finally, we got the singapore noodles. These were flavorful, but the curry taste was subtle. The portion size was huge. We were able to bring some of both of the noodle dishes home. For dessert, there was no choice; everyone received the same two options. The lemon meringue was rock solid and difficult to cut. It melted in your mouth into sugar crystals, but it wasn't my favorite. We enjoyed the chocolate lava cake, which was very moist and paired nicely with vanilla ice cream. To drink, I had the Mezcal Me Maybe. It was perfectly fruity and tangy from the passionfruit. Loved the candied ginger garnish. My husband had the Emperor's Old Fashioned, which was quite strong.I would absolutely come again. There's so much on the menu to try!

Dare I say this spot is overhyped. I thought the food I hate was just okay. For drinks, I ordered the "Not a Rita" mocktail and it was too tart. I also tried the "Turm it up" juice and that was yummy. For food, we tried a few hand rolls and the bao bun from the happy hour menu. Nothing really stood out to me to particularly want more. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? It is very cute aesthetically-dim lighting, nice decor. Our waiter was decent, no complaints. I'm willing to go again and try something else!

my vegan friends said this was their favorite vegan restaurant in NYC so i had high expectations. it ended up being very hit-or-miss. the highlights were by far the japanese sweet potato appetizer (perfectly charred with a lovely miso glaze - i would come back just for this) and the Torched and Pressed - it sounded boring but somehow the combo of pressed rice, avocado, and torched truffle was so good together. the bao slider was just ok; i thought the fried mushroom was a bit dry. the al pastor bowl with pineapple was tasty and had a great spice mix but i didn't notice that it had potato "chorizo". the green goddess was fine but i wouldn't recommend the chick'n cutlet addon as it tasted kind of odd and not at all like chicken.the main disappointment for me was the truffle cream udon. maybe it was just an off night but the sauce was watery rather than creamy and had a strong coconut aftertaste; the noodles were too soft.the space is on the noisier side but feels very hip. we tried the non-alcoholic paloma and cucumber mint lemonade - both were tasty but especially the lemonade.

So all I can say is WOW. I actually don't want to give a great review for fear of making this place too hard to get into! Paloma mocktail was outstanding. Sushi was great and the REUBEN!!!! The REUBEN!!!! I don't even think I'll ever have a real Reuben again. #spoiledforlife

PLANTA Queen Nomad is a vegan restaurant and we were in the mood to eat light before a late dinner. The restaurant is nice with black and white tile floors. Unlike most restaurant, the hostess counter is half way inside the restaurant, past the bar, past 5 small tables. There were about 10 additional tables deeper inside the restaurant. They prefer reservations but the hostess was able to find us a table. She helped us "book a table" and within 2 minutes, we were seated. The table was so small across the bar, so was probably intended for quick drink (as an alternative from sitting at the bar). If I would had known than I would had opted for another restaurant down the street. The restaurant is cute place, lighting was very dim (like some energy saving half-light) for atmospheric reasons which I didn't mind but can be difficult to read the menu. Two of our party were not vegan and couldn't tell that they were having plant based meat!! We also got the al pastor bowl which had a very large serving size and was very tasty! I got the spring rolls and the spicy tuna hand roll and both were good, the presentation was nice but the serving size was small for the price.

Such a delicious vegan Asian inspired restaurant in Nomad. We really loved the tuna sushi, pad Thai salad, lettuce wraps, and Dan-Dan noodles (this last one was to die for and I could've sat there all night eating this!). We had some kind of tofu mushroom garlic dish, which we disliked immensely so skip that one. Cocktails were clever and inventive. Service was great as the waitress kept checking in on us. You should note the tables are tight and right on top of each other (and small). You're definitely gonna feel close to your neighbor, and like there's not enough room on your table for all the food!

I came tonight with a few friends for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but it wasn't super packed and we were able to get seated before happy hour ended. The space itself is quite nice, with a large bar up at the front and lots of tables towards the back. For our drinks, we ordered the dragon and lychee martinis, which were delicious. For food and since everything was meant to be shared, we ordered the bao buns, the crab and sweet potato hand rolls, the cold peanut noodles, the summer rolls, the firecracker wings and the chick'n fried mushrooms. Everything was super flavorful with the standouts for me being the sweet potato hand roll, the bao buns and the firecracker wings. The service was attentive and we were able to order fairly quickly after sitting down. I would definitely come back again!

Sushi is my favorite food. If it were up to me, it'd be my last meal. Which makes being in a relationship with a vegetarian very hard.I don't want to say that PLANTA saved our relationship, but I'd be lying if I said this place hasn't greatly improved our happiness as a couple. The atmosphere is cool, staff are friendly, and everything we've had here is delicious. The sushi is especially great, it's shocking to me how good it tastes and how close the consistency of fish these people are able to get with just vegan ingredients. It's nice to be able to come to a restaurant and have my date look at a list of options rather than limitations. On our most recent visit we came for their all you can eat maki roll deal, which is an absolute steal. We ate to our heart's content, downing every roll on the menu (and a few more than once). The Torched and Pressed is by far my absolute favorite - the seared avocado and miso truffle glaze tastes decadent, similar to the way uni melts in your mouth. Even die hard pescatarians will enjoy it here. Don't skip this place.

Trendy and fun vibeThe Details: We really enjoyed dinner at this fun Nomad spot. The service was excellent and super quick, The Vibes were good, and the food was delicious. Overall a fun spot. It was cool that on Monday nights they have all you could eat sushi rolls or discounted options. A full vegan restaurant with so much variety and amazing dishes. We reserved a table for Monday evening dinner with friends. Our table was ready at scheduled time upon arrival. The has two floors, the big bar is on the first floor, lower floor has a smaller bar and few more dining space, with some wonderful interior. The menu had lots of small plates, sushi rolls, shareable entrees and of lots of drinks. We ordered 10-12 items all together. Most of the dishes were really incredible. Some of the best ones were bang bang broccoli, bao slider, avocado lime tartare, chili garlic tofu, dragon roll and spicy tuna roll. All items came out at a decent pace, we were able to enjoy the dinner for almost 3 hours. The 500ml sake was got enough for 2 rounds of shots for 4 people. I liked the cucumber mint lemonade as well. We ended the dinner with a chocolate brownie and matcha cheesecake, both were decent dessert items. The service was amazing throughout the night. Our server was a pro. He kept checking on the table, took out empty plates, kept filling up water and drinks. Never thought a vegetarian restaurant could be this much creative and popular, was really amazed by the experience.
