While looking for a restaurant in Midtown, we came here as walk-ins with no wait on a Saturday night. The space is tight-knit as tables are close to each other. To start off, I had the Mrs.Brightside ($16) while he had the Duck L'Orange ($17). The cocktails were nice and strong, which I enjoyed. For entrees, we got our own instead of family style and I had the Wonton Mee ($21) while he had the Smoked Chicken Mami ($21). Both of these noodle dishes were good, but not really anything special. It's your typical noodle dish that would be more affordable and bigger in Chinatown, to be honest. And to end the meal, we shared the Toffee Date Cake ($14), which was made with five spice and paired with ginger ice cream. This sounded so unique and good, but the ice cream was more icy than creamy and the toffee cake only had a hint of spice in it.Overall, food was good but just not special for the price and portions. I usually love fusion food, but it was more of a collection of different Asian cuisines.
