Pig & Khao has long been a beloved staple of the Lower East Side, known for its flavorful Filipino and pan-Asian cuisine. While I've enjoyed their deliciously seasoned dishes at dinner in the past, this was my first time experiencing their brunch--and it did not disappoint. The Food: * Sizzling Sisig: Exceptionally tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. A must-try! * Banh Xeo: A light, crispy fried crepe filled with shrimp, bacon, and bean sprouts. Absolutely delicious--don't miss this one! * Steak and Eggs: Cooked perfectly to medium and seasoned just right. * Khao Soi: Crispy egg noodles in red curry. A bit sweeter than spicy, though it does have a mild kick. The bottomless option is a fun choice for groups and reasonably priced, though I found the drinks could use a bit more alcohol. The vibrant music and energetic atmosphere make for a great brunch vibe. However, I'd skip the Jell-O shots (not great) and the Piggyback Shot (too much cinnamon for my taste).Overall, it was a fantastic experience with delicious food, friendly servers, and a lively ambiance.

I seriously loooved my experience at Pig and Khao and am surprised there aren't more people raving about it! We came in for a 6 PM reservation and were seated immediately. The seats are pretty close together so make sure you're ready to be in tight corners, especially since its pretty loud in the restaurant. The space also features an open kitchen, a highlight of my experience. I enjoyed being able to look into the kitchen and see what was being prepped. I came with two other people and we ordered a bunch of dishes to share, which I recommend doing! I enjoyed the bellychon, which is a crispy pork belly (that was also on display in the open kitchen!), and the khao soi. There were so many things on the menu that piqued my interest, so I will definitely be coming back to try more. I felt like I was introduced to a lot of different flavor combinations and dishes that I'd never tried before!

Super tasty food and delicious cocktails! This spot offers lip-smacking good small to large plates in a casual setting. Hubs and I went for the "Family Meal" for 2- a good and very filling deal of 2 small plates, 1 big plate, 1 noodle, bottomless rice, and donuts or Jello shots. We also each got a Cocktail Flight of 3 yummy, thoughtful, heady, and full-size drinks. While everything from our order was very good, standouts were the Sizzling Sisig, Chili Pan Mee, and the Coconut Rice. Everything's so good, you'll be oinking and mooing! NOTES/TIPS:*Wheelchair-accessible.*Excellent down-to-earth service.*Menu periodically changes.

Food: The donuts were a standout, but the noodle dish with poached eggs was just okay. The flavors were decent, but the dish lacked a bit of excitement.Cost: The cost was typical for a brunch in NYC, but the quality of the food and the service didn't quite justify the price.Environment:The restaurant had plenty of seating, but it felt a bit cramped and noisy. The atmosphere was casual and trendy, but it lacked a bit of warmth and charm.Service: The service was slow and inconsistent. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and they ran out of mimosa mixes, which was disappointing and they declined to make more even though we had time.Uniqueness:While the restaurant had a trendy vibe, it didn't offer anything particularly unique or innovative. The food and drink offerings were fairly standard, and the service experience was underwhelming.

Oo this is an interesting spot. I've been wanting to try more Filipino foods in the city, and this was one option and came up a couple times. Came here for brunch and this restaurant is a bit grunge (in an intentional way). The sink is duct-taped, and their expanded seating area in the back is a bit dark and cold (and feels a bit like you're outside?). The restaurant front is a bit hard to find and very unassuming. I ordered the sigsig with garlic rice and also tried the khao soi and pan mee noodles. Everything was super flavorful, but I was a bit disappointed by the portion sizes for the price AND the fact that the sigsig didn't come with rice? It's an extremely salty and overwhelming dish without it, so I highly recommend getting that as a side. My partner really enjoyed the food FWIW. Also tried the cilantro soda out of curiosity and I think it is worth skipping. It's kind of like a sprite with cilantro leaves in it, and not worth it for $9. We were able to make reservations easily and there's a brunch-specific menu on the weekends. It wasn't overwhelmingly busy on a Sunday peak brunch hours but fairly lively. Service was friendly, and food comes out as it's ready (but our food came altogether)

Wow wow wowI became aware of Chef Leah when she was featured on one of my favorite YT food channels showcasing Filipino cuisine - Erwan Heussaff's Featr. My sister and nephew had dined in once before so this became my last meal in the city on my last night. Since there was 3 of us, I suggested we do the family meal option which got us 2 appetizers, 2 noodle dishes and two big plates. That came with unlimited rice. We started off with the sisig and wings. That sisig disappeared so quickly. It was so damn good. We all paired it with the coconut rice. That rice was so fire I was inhaling it so quickly. The taste of coconut makes you want to keep taking bites. I think I had two bowls. The wings were tasty as evidenced by my fingers covered by the sauce. We then moved on to the two noodz options. Finished with the ribs and whole fish. The sauce with the fish tasted like what my mother used to make. It was sweet. We opted for the donuts to end instead of the jello shots since my nephew is underage. I loved that every dish had a hint of spice as that happens to be my jam since my people are from Bicol. The service was super. Matthew was amazing. He took such great care of us. A couple personal notes. While some people may be bothered by the loud ass music, I loved it as they were blasting 90s hits. I'm sure people saw me grooving. We were seated directly outside the bathroom which was constantly in use. While there was no smell wafting out of it, it got a little annoying that the door was wide open when it wasn't in use. I will however say that whenever a staff member was walking by they would always walk over to close it. But the second someone used it, it would be wide open when they exited. Worth every penny

Great brunch spot. Came here with a friend on a Saturday morning a little before 11am and was seated immediately. We started with a Vietnamese Iced Coffee to get our caffeine fix in. We got the Sizzling Corned Beef Hash and Banh Xeo to share, which were both good. Glad we got to try this place!
