We came here on a very cold night in early December on a whim. It was mostly empty but we also came in pretty late. WOW!!!! The food was amazing, the service was amazing and the restaurant is so cute. We had been out in the cold and walking around so we ordered a lot. The veggie egg rolls were delicious, they came out very hot. Then we had the sushi, one was a sweet potato roll and the other was a fish. I ordered the vegan pho and my partner had Pho Bo. We both loved our food and plan to visit again. This was some of the best pho we've ever had.

"I'm really disappointed with our experience at Phoshime. We were excited to try it, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. My wife, who is pregnant, had a hard time enjoying her meal--she didn't like the taste, and when we mentioned it to the staff, there was no attempt to accommodate or offer a solution. It's a shame because we were hoping for a better experience, especially considering the circumstances. I hope they take customer feedback more seriously in the future."Very rude staff.

5 stars for the food, but I removed a star due to service. We were seated quickly and received our food at a reasonable speed, but I was really put off by the attitude of our server, Ashley. Maybe it was just an off day for her, but she was very curt with us and also told us there were no bean sprouts in the summer rolls when the menu said that there were and the summer rolls indeed came with bean sprouts (someone in our party has an allergy). The shrimp summer rolls were really good, some of the best I've had in the city (large size and had a lot of noodles). I liked my vegan pho dish as well (good amount of vegetables). Some folks at our table didn't think they had enough noodles in their pho, but I was good with my portion. The restaurant is pretty spacious, and has a good amount of tables. It's very clean as well.

Service was good.I enjoyed the comfort and low lighting great menu. I tried the vegan pho because some of us have to find these gem spots that offer vegan options in Vietnamese restaurants... unfortunately the pho was saltyy. Not a good thing I've had better. My cup was dirty so that was a turn off. The chili oil was so Smokey and delicious please try it. I do wish the soup wasn't so salty. It's not the best food ever but it was tolerable

Got takeout from this place because I wanted something quick but wasn't sure about a fusion kind of place with Vietnamese and Japanese food.Got 2 sets of rolls, I'd say the raw fish isn't that fresh, so I'd skip anything raw if I ever come back. The other rolls were okay.

The first time I came in here, I left as it looked like there were no workers to welcome me or have me sit. I was just standing around, and after a few minutes, I bounced from the restaurant. I decided to go back after a few months and give it another shot. The service wasn't good, but at least I was able to get seated. I did see a sign outside saying there's a lunch special. I didn't know what I wanted until I perused the menu overl. However, I looked at the pho section as that's what I really wanted. I wasn't that impressed with the pho. The noodles were all stuck together. The broth was good, and I liked how they gave you jalapeños without asking for it.

I went in for take out for the first time since I was around the area before going home. The inside looks really cute and I would love to sit in one day since I enjoyed the food so much. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. The cha gio was so good. It had a nice amount of meat and not too many noodles if any. I had to warm things up in the air frier but honestly it was so easy to do. The noodles salad was also excellent. I love the fact that the pork was a pork chop with bone and it had amazing grilled flavor. This is a detail many Vietnamese restaurants miss. This will not be my last visit.

PROs- price , service , ambience CONs - vegetarian food, parking etc First timer . Was walking through 33rd street and saw this Vietnamese restaurant... it was a long time since I had Vietnamese food and wanted to try this . They have lots of seating inside . When you enter they have a section of seats next to the bar , which was ok aesthetically. There is also other seating on the inside of the restaurant which looked much better . Service was good. And quick . Lunch specials were priced ok. A decent sized food and a starter for about 13-15$ . Option wise they had a lot of vegetarian stuff but when I ordered veg fried rice, it came with egg . I do eat eggs but I did t want egg in my rice that day . My wife doesn't eat eggs .. wish they make veg rice only with veggies . Tasted ok. Spring rolls were good . Bar loooked ok.. overall a good experience . Wanted to give 3.5stars ...

I have to be completely honest... I still dream of this pho. I'm hoping to find some as good in my local area.Walking by, you could almost miss this place. Inside, it's quaint and fairly empty on a Friday night. The service was excellent, and we gobbled our soup and noodles like it was our last meal (I'd very much like this to be my last meal). The jelly sake was really good and different from what I normally get.The next time I find myself in NYC, we'll definitely be back.

Pretty good fusion spot that serves both sushi and Vietnamese food. We came in during happy hour on a Thursday and the place was pretty empty. Even without happy hour prices, beers were only $5. During happy hour beers and sushi are both buy one get one half off (as of August 2024). The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there and never really filled up. It doesn't look very big in the front, but the restaurant actually goes pretty deep. As for the food, the sushi is good. The Bo Luc Lac was VERY good. It's $28, which is fairly reasonable for the area. It's basically beef stir fried in a black pepper sauce served with chips and rice on the side. Definitely will return to get this again.
