This family-run spot is nothing short of excellent, in all categories a restaurant can be rated onThe ambiance is warm and sets the scene for good conversation. Upon entering you are greeted by welcoming faces and a team that is passionate about Italian dishes. Rafael, our server, was passionate and knowledgeable. The flavors are deep and nostalgic, like you're eating Sunday dinner at your grandmothers. We ordered the beet salad, a tomato soup special, fettuccine bolognese, veal scaloppini and a pappardelle eggplant special my dad has not stopped talking about. All of which paired with red wine, negronis and a poached pear with rich vanilla ice cream. My father who grew up with his mothers Italian cooking and frequently travels to Italy said "this is truly the best pasta I've ever had."

We had a great dinner at Petrarca. I ordered the squid ink pasta with seafood and I was more than happy. Large portion with perfectly cooked seafood. Love the ambiance and the relaxed setting. We will definitely be back.

OMG. This is the gem of all gems. This now tops my list as the greatest homemade pasta in NY. This is not your usual mediocre overpriced Tribeca spot. This is outstanding and I'm telling everyone!Get the homemade bolognese pasta and/or the lasagna and you'll taste flavors you've never tasted outside of Italy. Generous outdoor seating on a warm night has you feeling like you're in Florence. Cannot wait to come back for their desserts and more of their homemade pastas and fluffy bread. 5 stars!!!!!

Two stars- only because we came here on Christmas Eve and there were no special seafood dinners. They lacked the mix of shrimp, mussels and other traditional entrees that Italians feast on during the holidays. The calamari was a great appetizer - not too oily and a great sauce to accompany the flavor. The waiters are accommodating and attentive - they can make certain dishes to order, but the menu here overall isn't that plentiful or selective. It's a lovely atmosphere that's quiet and a perfect location downtown. Their wines are also great - their house wine suits any meal. It would just be great to have more selection and specials on the menu.

Medium sized, dimly lit Italian spot in Tribeca lined with wine bottles and jars of preserved lemons. The service has been fabulous before and has also been just fine but the food is why I return! Fabulous chicken parm and the butternut squash ravioli is a dish I crave weekly. Coffee crème brulee is light and delicious.

Wanted to take a night off & craving pasta...who knew delicious white sangria would accompany the cravings?!!! . Turkey polpette pasta for me & my wife had the orecchiette with broccoli rabe & shrooms. The decor is simple (booth and chair seating) & comfortable with gentle music for ambiance. Every service staff member wore smiles only bettered by the genuine interest in our satisfaction. The entire staff is exceptional. They were also careful to respect our quiet, private dinner for two. Petrarca is a terrific restaurant that folks forget about...don't! It's SO good!

Such a quaint, personalized experience! The food was GREAT and the owner/manager came by and checked on everyone. It only has about 10 tabletops so the service was the best!

Food poisoning from seafood pasta - just please be careful. Most items were great but could tell there was something off with clams / mussels.
