My boyfriend booked this place for dinner and I have to say it was a very good pick. And I have to say you CANNOT judge a book by its cover. If you're just looking at the pictures you're probably thinking: WOW this is a fancy intimate place. But when you walk in there's loud music playing which TBH was very different but it fit in with the whole atmosphere and reflected the personality of the owner. The food was really good. They have A La Carte menu but they also have a tasting menu (which I would highly recommend - but make sure you're not rushing to anything like we did because they take their time making the food and plating).I'm assuming their tasting menu changes every once in a while because the introduction of each dish was not scripted at all. Even if you don't go for the tasting menu you HAVE to order their scallop and PB&J. You're thinking why PB&J? Because it's mixed with Foie Gras which brought it to a next level. Absolutely delicious.I highly recommend trying this place out. And I hope they get more attention. For a place like this to not be booked out on a Sunday night is pretty sad. They should get more attention than this!!!!!

Hands down the best meal I've eaten all year, and that includes a few Michelin stars. We came in on Saturday night, and were immediately welcomed by Charlie. She noted we had the tasting menu and recalled my allergy, we ordered a bottle of wine, and then the fun began! Watching Chef John work was like a dance. His execution is precise and the results are incredibly well balanced dishes that play with texture and dance around your tastebuds. Out of our eight courses it was arguably hard to pick a favorite, but the big eyed tuna and the foie gras pb&j really stood out. The space is small and intimate and it really felt like sitting at a friend's counter while they cooked. We finished our wine before our last course and as we discussed ordering another glass of it, Charlie came by and topped us off with a pour on the house. The team and the food at Pearl Street exceeded every expectation, go while it's still a true hidden gem, because it won't be for long.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The place is tiny but the service is attentive, the food is great and price reasonable and won't break your bank to enjoy the high end cuisine. The chef is so creative and talented using local ingredients for the dishes. Love every dishes there and can't wait to go back again. It's really a hidden gems in the neighborhood.

2nd time back here, first time we came here it was still only tasting menu allowed and it was genuinely amazing. This time it's a little different, here is why:1. We have been a great fan of the tomatoes since last tasting menu we had an awesome tomato salad so we decided to give the shrimp piccata with bitter greens a try since they told us it will have the tomatoes. Im not a fan of this since the bitterness overpowers everything, even eating with the sweetest cherry tomatoes it doesn't help at all. Maybe tone it down a bit?2. The cheese fondue is very bad, sourest cheese + super sour pickles? It wasn't enjoyable to be honest, I am a believer in balancing flavors and layers of them but this just sour on sour on sour, the sour dough was so tough it hurts to chew. Those above constitutes the 1 star off. It was just not good.Maitake confit is AMAZING, hands down the dish to die for, the portion is actually great I am drooling thinking about it, the wagyu bun is also amazing!!! Cheap sweet buns + wagyu + some jalapeño and straw berry jam= BOMB!!!!The PBJ is ok, I can't taste foie gras much but it's deliciousNow let's talk about services, we saw that on Resy there were a table for two available at 6pm and we were just outside so we directly stepped in, we were told that we absolutely cannot do a tasting menu since they need the table back at 7:30pm. Sure it's alright, but at least have 2 types of reservations on Resy to make it clear. It is confusing:) the chefs r amazing and friendly.

What a great intimate experience we had at Pearl Street. We walked into the little 10 seat counter space and were immediately greeted by Charlie, a great hostess! We had seats at the corner and watching the crew in the small kitchen behind the counter made for a wonderful show. Both the raw and savory dishes were spot on. We had the sea-cuterie and the oysters were simply fresh and delicious; the shrimp were succulent; and the chili crisp tuna crudo was really excellent. The star of the seafood show was the scallops, perfectly prepared and exploding with flavor.Moving to land the Gambas Al Ajillo was creamy and delicious. The smoked waygu roll was super flavorful, and the PB&J Triangles With Foie Gras Ganache was a great experience. So book your reservation, be one of the ten people enjoying the show. You will not be disappointed.

Very small spot in Dumbo area, but it was half empty the Thursday night we went (total just 12 seats). There are four guys working the kitchen who are also your servers since it is counter seating. Plating was nicely done. Head chef was also nice (as well as the rest of the team) but he kept itching his hands, then putting them in his jeans' pockets, then proceeded to cut tomatoes for our meal. Music didn't match the vibe. Was fully empty by the time we left (at a normal reasonable time) so was a bit awkward for my friend and I to eat alone for half the meal while they stared at you.

Pearl Street offers raw bar items as well as chef-inspired 'snacks' - they only have counter seating available, and you can also reserve for a chef's tasting menu that includes 8 courses. We came here to get some 'snacks', and tried:+Sea-cuterie for Two - includes 1/2 a dozen of oysters (served with apple/jalapenos, shallot mignonette, and cocktail sauce), shrimp cocktail (served with lemon, cocktail sauce, and yuzu Kewpie), tuna crudo (with kumquat, radish, scallions, and a chili relish), cured salmon (with everything crumble, cucumber, pickled shallots, and crispy shallots), cultured butter, and toasted brioche; we also added a couple of ounces of Ossetra caviar; generous portions +Wagyu Cheesesteak Rolls - thinly-sliced A Bar N Ranch beef, goat horn peppers, and 'whiz'; we weren't fans of this+Maitake Confit & Toasted Farro - with shiitake and truffle cream and a 2-year old Parm+PB & J Triangles with Foie Gras Ganache - on milk bread with strawberry Smucker's and Jif; more like pb & j sandwiches, as you can't really taste the foie grasThe staff and service were both great.Intimate setting with a laid-back vibe.+friendly service+reservations made on Resy

This is my go-to in Dumbo. A small, intimate dining space, excellent menu, with consistently good food. John, Franklin, and Charlie have truly created something special here. John in particular - whether I'm there just to eat in silence or chat, John is one of the kindest, down-to-earth guys I've met. Some things that are particularly good:(1) Wagyu sliders(2) Franklin's homemade kombucha - if he has any left(3) The wagyu steak special if they have it(4) The bread. Sounds trite, but its actually pretty solid. Dishes are also plated beautifully. 10/10 for date night, solo "I-just-want-to-chill-after-a-long-day", or post-KTV night.

Absolutely perfect tasting menu. Wagyu beef course was staggering delicious. Add the wine pairings to really complete the experience. This is the best meal we've had - it's a standout.

Absolutely loved this tasting menu! Went with my wife and it was a very nice and intimate setting. They seat only about 10 people and they have a staff of 5. Located in the heart of Dumbo. The stand out dishes were the Scallop, their take on a PBJ, and the cheesecake. The wine selection was great and very well priced. Would love to go again!
