We got the catfish house special which was warm and perfectly crispy with a side of their creamy Mac and cheese and collard greens. To drink, my girlfriend had the homemade ice tea and I had the lemonade. Both were very sweet and refreshing. I'd recommend anyone to try this place for some southern comfort deliciousness.

Torn between reason and blind rage, I feel I have to dock some stars, and perhaps maybe concluding there is a reason I was only one of three diners eating here during lunch time.Other Yelpers here have stated the food is very good here. As someone who has had many southern fried chicken sandwiches, this one falls short. The chicken is more bread than meat, the sandwich is overtaken by too much hot honey. It was not a pleasant sandwich to eat, though I really wanted to like it.Instead of fries (remember, no fries for me anymore in the USA with some exceptions), I got macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The former is creamy, silky, and hot all the way through. The latter is a little dry and bland, it definitely needs butter. I chose not to use it because it would have made a messy plate even messier. They do give you three pieces which is nice, but I would prefer them to have some flavor. The Tiger Woods, or their half and half, is okay, but watered down. After the first few sips, it loses its magic. Now it is just lemon water. I also found my server, initially friendly, to be condescending and insulting. If she was nicer I would have stayed a little longer, but her tone and hipster Bed-Stuy vibe (yes, the restaurant is in Bed-Stuy) turned me off. It is not attractive to me.Reason prevailing, I will not be back.

During COVID I would get deployed to NYC, Brooklyn specifically. As the city began to open up, I was able to try take out from Peaches Hothouse. Fast forward. While on a quick trip to NYC in 2024 I made it a point to come here just for Catfish.Yup the catfish is perfect! Service is great! Ambiance is chill! Looks like a real house, lol. Cozy and quaint. If I'm coming here straight from Penn Station, it's GOOD! Trust me! Reviews are telling! They have high ratings for reason!

Peaches Hothouse is that spot in Brooklyn you didn't know you needed until you've had the shrimp sandwich. Let me tell you, it's the best I've had in the neighborhood--hands down. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful. Honestly, it's the star of the show. The mac and cheese is decent, but it's the shrimp sandwich that'll keep you coming back. And don't sleep on the Brownstone drink--smooth, refreshing, and an absolute must-have. I honestly am not impressed with the other dishes.

Absolutely perfect fried chicken. I got the nashville hot at heat level 'hot', and it was medium-hot. The chicken was cooked perfectly, with even the breast having enough flavor that you didn't feel too disappointed moving to it after the delicious dark meat pieces. I also added the spicy pickles and hot sauce, I mostly ate the chicken dry, but with breast I did dip it, and the sauce was really good. The pickles were a nice addition I'd recommend. The only disappointing thing was the fries I got with it, they didn't hold onto their crunch like the chicken, and were just really standard generic french fries you'd get from a bodega; that said, I'd just get another side, as everything else was good.I got it to go; the pick up was fast and easy, and place looked nice on the inside, but didn't dine in.

Walked in on a Saturday night without a wait. Which is insane because I'm not sure why there aren't more people here. The menu is pretty simple. Most of the things are fried, but fried foods are one of the best things. Ordered a fried chicken plate. It came with three pieces. The best fried Southern fried chicken I've had in NYC. The chicken was moist even for a breast piece. The seasoning was good. Cornbread could have been more moist. The prices are also decent considering how massive the portions are. Fried catfish sandwich was amazing. The seasoning on that was so good. It was aggressively seasoned. The cajun seasoning was amazing. The size of the catfish was big too. It was perfectly crispy. I liked the sauce that also came with it. Side salad was just what I needed to pair with it because it was a heavy meal. We debated on whether to upgrade our sides, but we were greatly stuffed after our meal. Definitely one of the places to go to for Southern food.

In my opinion, this is the Better of the two restaurants. Everything was deeelicious. The hot chicken was perfectly done. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the I side. It didn't need any sauce. And TRUST, I am a saucy saucy girl. I like me my sauce. I needed none for the chicken. The cornbread was ok. The sandwich is an upscale version of the Popeyes chicken sandwich. I mean that as a compliment! The spicy chicken sandwich is SO GOOD! The brisket was done well too. The mac and cheese was aaaaaamazing!!! Reminded me of how my friend's grandma used to make it. Its SO good. He grits were good as well.. creamy and buttery. There wasn't any service because we got our food on a tray at the counter and were told to choose a cabin, and that was that. There's a water station and cups to get your own water if you'd like or choose a drink. But this wasn't a server who brings food to your table and checks up on you situation. Atleast not while we were there. A place we will definitely try again.

Great vibes and service. Chicken is so so. It is double dipped so has a lot of batter and while crispy it is too much batter for me. The French toast has granola so some purist won't like it. My niece thought it had a bad texture and wouldn't eat it. This place is solid for the food but could be better. The spicy chicken just had dusting of cayenne pepper. All in all you should come check out peaches bc it is a neighborhood staple and has a nice vibe but don't expect the worlds best chix

This is a neat little spot. I had the fry chicken with mac n cheese. My mom had the hot honey chicken sandwich with a side of salad. I was rooting for the chicken but it didn't do anything for me. I had dark meat that wasn't really seasoned, and was fatty. The mac n cheese was pretty good. The chicken sandwich was a chunk of under seasoned chicken in buns. My mom loved the salad though. I ordered their rum punch which I enjoyed. The service was fine. No complaints there. I do see myself giving this spot another try...

Veryyy good food. The mac and cheese and shrimp sandwich were amazing. Chicken was alright but too much breading for me personally.
