Quick service (as expected at a slice shop). Strong crunch, good cheese and sauce. Great atmosphere (classic pizza shop booths and decor). Service was surprisingly good as well with slice brought to your table if dining in along with your drink.Well oiled machine.I enjoyed the cheese much more than the sausage. My sausage slice was a bit floppy and soggy compared to the cheese. The sausage itself was tasty.

Nice casual sit down spot to get yourself a good slice in Greenpoint! Order at the counter and then sitGot myself the Hellboy Squared and thought it was really good! Nice buttery crust, healthy amount of hot honey, and pepperoni slices were plump! I do wish they had reheated it just a smidge more since I still found it a bit lukewarm even after heating. Not the end of the world, but I do think this could've helped it bring it over the edge!All-in-all, nice spot if you're looking for a quick bite! Prices were decent, too. I'd come back.

More vibe than taste - slices were OK.The owner has said in interviews that he aims to emulate the "slice shops I grew up going to." I am too young to know for sure, but I imagine he hit the nail on the head with the interior. The pizza is probably the same - but that's not a good thing. The crust is mostly bland, and the slices were mediocre. Additions of sesame seeds at the bottom of the square slices don't seem to do anything. Most of our party left food on the plate.

Underrated hot honey pizza in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!! The sesame crust of their Sicilian pizza is a game-changer. The vibes at Paulie Gee's Slice Shop are unmatched. While a pizza shop is usually a grab-and-go fast food spot, they created a family-friendly space with dining room, family bathroom, and televisions playing sports and cartoons. The dining booths by the window are giving nostalgic vibes. I was more impressed by the friendly and attentive service. The owner came out and asked for people's thoughts. Staff members checked in with customers from time to time. They even helped us find and clean a table at rush hour. Worth to mention they have a wide selection of vegan pizzas, like vegan pepperoni, vegan sausage and vegan vidalia. *Hellboy Square $5.75 ***The Hellboy Square deserved all the stars. Served on a sesame crust, it was topped with pepperoni, crushed tomatoes, mozarella, and a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey. The crust was light and fluffy with a chewy texture. The bottom was fully covered with sesame seed, giving it a really nice crunch. I might actually like this one more than Prince St. I'll definitely come back for their Sicilian pizza. *The Mootz $4.75We were recommended to try The Mootz, which was made of mozzarella, fresh garlic, and Pecorino cheese. It tasted like cheesy garlic bread in a pizza form. We liked the pie structure because it wasn't too floppy like some NY style pizzas. The bottom was not oily at all. Wished it was more garlicky and served hot. Worth a try if you're a garlic bread fan.

I was skeptical of a new place re-creating the authentic NY slice, but with more blogger support and longer lines. After all, it isn't the Mona Lisa; the original item still exists, even if you have to go somewhere less fashionable than Greenpoint to find the best versions. But this isn't a Blues Hammer kind of authenticity. It turns out the classic cheese slice is outstanding. It seems thinner than the real deal which isn't a bad thing. And a foray into a less classic realm worked also. The Hellboy with Mike's Hot Honey and pepperoni should be on the cover of Sweet & Salty magazine.

It was a great time stopping by to try slices from Paulie Gee's on a rainy winter day. They have the classic few options available. The shop is very small, though there is seating and table if you're willing to wait (or if you get lucky like me!) I tried a bit of the Hellboy slice. There was a nice chew to the dough, though I felt it was a little underseasoned and flavorless compared to other great pizza of the city. The sauce and the toppings were on point, though I like a little more garlic in general. The pepperoni especially felt high-quality, and I liked the mix of the hot honey and the pep. Overall, a lovely cozy slice shop with great service and piping hot food. I'd love to stop by again to try the vodka slice!

We picked up three slices. They were huge. $4 a piece and it was good pizza. Thin crust. Nicely done.

Came here for lunch by recommendation of a local stationery shop nearby (which we were visiting after lunch). This was the only time we got to have pizza during this trip to NY Paulie Gee's Slice Shop is actually surprisingly bigger than it may seem from the front of the shop with a decent amount of seating towards the back of the restaurant. While my friends had gotten cheese/pepperoni pizzas, i decided to try their more "unique" ones, THE MOOTZ and the HELLBOYTHE MOOTZ includes fresh mozzarella, fresh garlic, Pecorino RomanoAn "upgraded" cheese pizza with not only mozzarella, but of course FRESH GARLIC and with a nice saltiness from the pecorino romano on a NY style thin pizza. BIG slice ! The HELLBOY includes upside down Sicilian with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, Pecorino Romano, Ezzo pepperoni, Mike's Hot Honey, and a sesame seed bottom. The Mike's Hot Honey makes this appear WAY more "oily" than it really is. The heat of the pizza thins out the honey and makes in run everywhere while you eat it. Unsure if its the same pepperoni used in the normal pepperoni. Soda's are available from a fountain but unfortunately its not self serve and hides behind a counter. I had gotten my soda fairly quickly as i had ordered it with my pizza but my friends had ordered one after and took quite a while for it to show up. Apparently there's also a choice to get the soda via can but was more expensive. That day, only 1 person seemed to be delivering from kitchen to table so it was quite the mix up. Despite asking about the drink, still took a while to get. Aside from that service mix up though, the pizza was good. Would probably come here again for a quick easy lunch if i were to visit the area again.

Incredible NY pizza that you can order by the slice. There's plenty of seating inside in the back and the staff was nice! I would absolutely recommend trying the hot honey pizza - to die for!
