The best place to grab Italian food before a show! A classic spot with food that tastes like you're sitting at grandmas table! The food truly brought me back in time, to good memories. Wanted to find a good spot to eat before a show and knew this place would be perfect the second I saw it. If Frank Sinatra loved this place, I knew I would too. Made reservations ahead of time which I recommend. Started off with baked clams - they were unreal. Baked to perfection and had a great lemon kick to it. We then split Veal Francaise and Spicy Rigatoni. Both delicious. The veal was my personal favorite. We ended the evening with a Napoletano cake - WOW if you order anything, let it be that. Very fluffy and light. The dessert comes around on a dessert cart. Our waiter didn't bring it to us, but it looked fun when the other tables were greeted with the cart. The wine selection is great too. I had a Chianti glass. Over the place was cozy and warm. Would come back certainly. Already planning to take my family and my husband's there. When I mentioned it to them, I found out my mother in law loves this place and has been a hand full of times!!

In a city that is constantly reinventing itself, Patsy's is immutable. It's a time capsule- in a good way. I'm sure the decor has been the same forever. There are celebrity photos all over the place and it really feels as if you went back in time or stepped onto a movie set. The staff were all really nice. We were started off with very good bread. I had a top 10 dry martini and wines by the glass were good. My buddy and I often share dishes. Our waiter graciously served one dish at a time, so we got 4 courses in. One of the things that I really loved was that the service was unrushed. We were given plenty of time to unwind over drinks before we ordered and the pace of the meal was very civilized. The baked clams oreganata might have been my favorite dish. Crispy breading, deep flavor. The Cesar salad was good. The linguine puttanesca was really good, with deep concentrated flavor. The veal Francese wea very good too. It was light and the breading was silky. We were too full for dessert but the dessert cart looked promising. I appreciate restaurants that are consistent over time and are true to themselves. This third generation southern Italian restaurant is that in spades. I will happily return.

Mixed reviews here... while the pizza is great, service is awful. Including delivery on service. If you want good pizza, yes. If you want good service, NO. I waited almost 2 hours for a simple delivery for a small pie. And when I called to ask about the timeframe the person was extremely rude if they changed the staff the ratings would go up

Patsy's is old world charm! A NYC staple since the 1940s. A friend had recommended while in New York and so we went for Valentines dinner before our broadway show. My wife ordered eggplant parmigiana and I had the trio of ravioli. My wife loved hers and the cheese was so melty on top. Of the three raviolis, my favorite was the mushroom followed closely by the spinach. Not a huge lobster fan, they were tasty just not my thing. The pasta was delicious, cooked to perfection. We shared the strawberry shortcake cake which was light and fluffy. The waiters were all pleasant and attentive. Lots of choices on the menu for pasta lovers!

What a great little gem!!! In NYC for start of honeymoon and it was hubby's birthday. First, loved the quaint restaurant and everyone was friendly as walked in! Sat at a table downstairs and started by sharing stuffed mushrooms and Pasta e Fagioli. Both were amazing! Hubby is Italian and had told me if the first two items were up to Italian standards we should definitely order more! We sensed the waiter was a little annoyed we ordered so little. First two items were amazing! So we ordered a bowl of olives and an order of penne pasta with meatballs. Service then went up a notch! The meatballs were to die for!! They were tender, flavorful and melt in your mouth! Their sauce was also fabulous too! So full when left but definitely left us wanting more!!

Service and quality of food, 10/10. We loved the nostalgic and family dining feel to the restaurant. Portion sizes are definitely enough to share, but we are not from the area so we decided to get our own entrees. We had the chicken Parmesan and the spaghetti with meatballs. Make sure you order spaghetti with the marinara sauce. My husband and I both agreed it was the freshest and most flavorful sauce we've ever had. Don't forget to order the tiramisu! Also the best we've ever had! When we come back to nyc, we'll definitely be making a stop at Patsys!

It's always rough to rate a restaurants that has great reviews and such a high end customer base because you go in with high expectations that can set but for me Patsy's delivered. We started off with the Mozzarella and Carozza and it was delicious and more that enough for 3 people. I never order Spaghetti and Meatballs but I had to try it and it was better than mine. Decor was nice and service was awesome. Can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing dinner. I have been coming to Patsy's since the late 80's. This is where I took my wife after I proposed to her. The food and service is fantastic. I had the Frutti De Mare and it was phenomenal. The night was made better when Sal came by our table at the end of our dinner and spent time sharing stories. He even signed a cook book for our friends.

Had lunch at Patsy's during a trip to New York and it was okay. Nothing to brag home about and I also had a hiccup with the establishment that made my experience a bit uneasy. Here are some takeaways: EnvironmentPatsy's is a nice space. We went for lunch so it was pretty empty and not a lot of people dining at the time. The vibe seems to be high end but casual dining. Great for lunch with friends or a date night with a partner. Keep in mind that there is a no hat policy if you do decide to dine here. ServiceAs I mentioned earlier, there is a strict no-hat policy at this restaurant, which I was unaware of before my visit. Due to a medical condition, I find it more comfortable to wear a hat most of the time. When we asked if I could keep my hat on for health reasons, they initially refused and requested proof of my diagnosis. This felt intrusive and made me uncomfortable. Despite my hesitation, I provided them with some documentation, and they eventually allowed me to keep my hat on.I want to highlight this to inform others about the no-hat policy and the extent to which you might need to go if you have a similar situation. This experience put a damper on my visit, and because of the strict policy and how I was treated, I doubt I will return.Aside from this incident, our server was friendly, attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were delivered promptly and overall, the service was great. Food and drinks I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was okay. I wouldn't order it again however if I were to ever return I would try other things on the menu to see if I would have a better experience. OverallMy experience at Patsy's wasn't great but just remember no hats and you may have a good time. The food was just okay to me but I would give it another shot if they let me in.
