Park Avenue Tavern

Arrived with a friend for a late afternoon lunch. My guest had the Salmon with Quinoa salad and I had the soup and sandwich. The salmon and quinoa were perfectly prepared. The Tomato and Bacon Bisque was smooth and creamy. The accompanying grilled cheese on Brioche sandwich enhanced with bacon was delicious but could have used 1 additional slice of cheese to make it perfect.The sidewalk shed was quiet and well-controlled in temperature despite the chill outside. Service was spot on, with the perfect amount of attention.A definite recommend. We will be back

once it hits 5, you can find your bachelor finance guy in this restaurant and ofc yummy American food smoked turkey was so delicious with the brie and fig jam with the cold cut turkey. loved the softness of the pretzel bun and their cranberry mayo was such an interesting take, making this dish stand out my friends got a burger and a fried chicken burger. they looked juicy!! how can we leave without a chocolate chip on a skillet. the ice cream on top was the perfect touch to the warm the interior is so nice and they did a very good job trying to decorate it with New York City theme!

Exactly what we wanted from a brunch spot. We came in today looking for something warm and delicious and we found it here. We initially had a reservation for four but another friend of ours tagged along. The hostess was extremely kind and sat us at a huge table in the back! When it came to the food the breakfast burrito and hangover hash didn't disappoint. The burrito was blanketed in a green salsa and light sour cream that paired nicely with the spicy chorizo. The service alone was a reason to come back. Not only was the hostess kind but the wait staff was extremely attentive, refilled our water multiple times and kind enough to spit the check between the five of us without batting an eye. Great visit!

I liked how warm and cozy this place felt. It was already decorated for Christmas. Upon arriving, my friend and I wanted to sit at a table. We were going to get drinks but maybe get food too. But the hostess was adamant that tables were reserved , even though there were SO many empty tables. We eventually found 2 seats at the bar. And yes we did order food. We got:- purple rain cocktail: I love anything with butterfly pea flower - which is what gives it the purple color - passion fruit margarita - truffle fries- quesadilla

Great lunch spot. Good ambiance for a bar/tavern. Quick service. Great food options. Have had the quinoa salad bowl w salmon, fish and chips and club sandwich all good.Give it a try if looking for a spot near gcs.

Park Avenue Tavern continues to be my local go to place for lunch. Highly conveninent near Grand Central, great food at reasonable prices. Service is top notch. Wait staff was great to talk to: knowledgable about the menu, quick to bring the food out and responsive to our needs. Can't really ask for too much more. There is a reason we keep coming back. My first choice for meeting up for a meal.

Nice and lively spot for drinks / American food near Grand Central. I got their Burger of the Month ($26), which wasn't actually that special, as it seemed to be a pretty normal burger with gruyere cheese, onions, and baby arugula. It was pretty good though - the cheese was nicely melted, the brioche buns were nice and soft, and the patty was cooked to a proper medium as I requested. The burger also came with a generous amount of fries, which were very standard quality. That being said, I don't really think this was worth the $26.The place itself has a lively environment with a classy yet casual atmosphere. There is plenty of seating inside, as well as a decent amount of outdoor seating by the sidewalk. It was fairly busy when we went for Friday dinner, but we were able to get an outdoor table without a reservation. The staff are fairly friendly and the service speed is average. It was a bit odd that they didn't initially give any ketchup for my fries though - then after asking for it, they just brought me a single tiny container of ketchup (although they were happy to provide more later).Overall, Park Avenue Tavern is a nice spot for a happy hour or casual drinks/food with friends, despite the food being pretty average in quality and slightly on the pricier side compared to similar places.

Great atmosphere, good food and good service. Theres a reason it's always busy! It's a nice neighborhood spot. Good for after work drinks or a catch up dinner. It has it all.

Good spot conveniently located near Grand Central. Salads and burgers have always been enjoyable and the service is typically quick.

The hostess Blaise was extremely friendly and helpful! We loved our waiter Walther and the food and drinks were great and the service was quick. Will be back again!
