When visiting NYC, one absolutely has to have good pasta, and where better to be for that than Little Italy? After looking through some online menus (had to keep budget in mind since we're a family of 6), we settled on Paesano's.Mulberry Street is full of greeters eager for you to step inside, and so after navigating our way through some of them, we walked right into Paesano's. It was like walking into a little village with the interior design. Murals on the wall, pergolas above us, and ambient music. Our server Aldo was simply wonderful. This is a guy who knows how to provide good service. The food? Simply wonderful. Everyone was fully satisfied. The fresh-made pasta was cooked just right, and the sauces we each had (Bolognese, Alfredo, alla vodka, and arrabiata) were delicious.Definitely worth the visit!!!

If you're looking for Italian food in Little Italy, this place is a game changer--delicious, affordable, and with a vibe that feels just right. The food was perfection, and the service? Warm and effortless, just like an ideal night out. We shared everything you see in the photos, including the wine, and it was only $32 per person. Delicious food, warm service, and all the right vibes.

This charming, classic Italian eatery, nestled in the heart of Little Italy, has earned its popularity for good reason. * Calamari: Delightfully crispy, served with a side of tangy marinara sauce and a fresh lemon wedge--an enjoyable starter. * Baked Clams: While small in size, they're satisfying, though not particularly memorable. * Rigatoni a la Vodka: A standout dish! Perfectly cooked al dente, it's rich, flavorful, and highly recommended. * Shrimp Fra Diavolo: Well-executed with bold flavors, though it could benefit from a bit more spice for that extra kick.Overall, a solid Italian dining experience. The service is efficient and attentive, making it a great choice for classic comfort food in an inviting setting.

I stumbled upon Paesano after my initial choice of restaurant had a long wait time and unfortunately my hunger couldn't wait. I was greeted immediately as I walked in and really liked the decor and ambiance inside, it was cute and cozy and felt intimate despite the close proximity in tables. While the food lacked in taste, I'd say this was a step above Olive Garden, the staff made up for in service as everyone was very welcoming and attentive.

We stumbled upon Paesano of Mulberry Street during the San Gennaro Festival. Each year I attend the festival, I try to eat at a new restaurant and Paesano's has been the most exceptional by far -- from service to the food. My best friend lives in New York and said she'd seen it top a list for best Italian food in the city and I'm surprised it doesn't have more reviews on the web -- this is the good stuff! In addition to fresh bread service, and my remarkable Cacio e Pepe, I also ordered an Aperol spritz and it was perfect. I can't speak to the ambiance because we didn't dine inside. We sat just outside at a table on the sidewalk because of the festival but the service was just as stellar.

Little Italy is home to a bevy of authentic Italian restaurants lining Mulberry Street. Paesano's is no exception to authentic Italian cuisine. Paesano is a gem you must visit. During my recent dining experience, three dishes stood out as culinary masterpieces: the Chicken Parmesan, Fried Calamari, and Chicken Carbonara. The Chicken Parmesan was nothing short of perfection. The chicken was pounded thinly and coated in a crisp light golden breading. The meat was tender and juicy and coated in a rich marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. Each bite was a perfect harmony of textures and flavors. The Fried Calamari was equally impressive. Lightly breaded and fried to golden-brown, the calamari was tender and not overly chewy. Served with a zesty marinara dipping sauce and a hint of lemon, this appetizer set the tone for the rest of the meal with its fresh and savory flavors.Lastly, the alfredo Carbonara was indulgent and comforting. The creamy sauce was expertly balanced, coating the perfectly cooked fettucine and crispy pancetta which added a delightful crunch and a smoky depth of flavor that elevated the dish to another level.Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Paesano is warm and inviting, with attentive service that ensures a pleasant dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, Paesano delivers a meal that's as satisfying as it is memorable.

Ive been here twice! Once over the summer and again during the holiday season! Both times were phenomenal (hence why i went back again)! I love the vibesPros:- delicious red sauce, not too sweet or acidic - the oil with the bread was only slightly spicy which was a nice touch - bread was soft - portions are a perfect size- pizza was exactly how pizza should taste but better- penne vodka was perfect and creamy - a staff member was fixing a wobbly table - affordable pricesconsiderations:- small interior and tables are packed close together so it can be a bit cramped feeling and slightly loud

My partner and I loved the food here. The space feels very nostalgic and homey, like what an Italian restaurant should feel like. We were able to make last minute reservations on a Sunday night. We had the Rigatoni a la vodka with meatballs and fettuccini alfredo with chicken. I loved both pastas, they were so fresh and warm and tasted so good on a cold night. The chicken for the alfredo was dry but we still loved the pasta.

Cute place, but based on the food, I'm not sure I'm feeling the love for this place. They were able to find us a table right away (this was a backup plan to Rubirosa, which seems impossibly booked these days), which was very kind. I loved the atmosphere--it played heavily into small old school Italian restaurant ambiance. For food, we started with the stuffed mushrooms. The tomato sauce was overpowering and too sweet for my taste. For the entree, I had the rigatoni with vodka sauce and my boyfriend had the stuffed steak. The rigatoni was al dente, which was nice, but honestly, I've had better versions of this dish. It felt very basic. The steak was a little better but not by much.Reflecting on the meal later, I realized my favorite part was the complimentary bread dipped in olive oil. That's a bit sad. Everyone around us seemed very into fettuccini Alfredo, but at the risk of sounding snobby, I'm not into that dish when it comes to Italian food. Overall I'd pass on coming back here.

Came in on NYE and there was no line so we were seated right away. Free bread + oil for dipping when we sat down. Decided to order 1. the baked clams, 3/5 not what we were expected, as we figured it would be more garlic + oil. This was cheesy with a lot of bread crumbs. My boyfriend had a bad clam with a foul taste/smell. There were 7 pieces total. 2. traditional lasagna was 3/5 as well, it was alright and nothing crazy. Nothing made it stand out in comparison to freezer lasagna. 3. spaghetti carbonara 0/5. terrible + SUPER BLAND. not enough salt and pepper could of saved the meal. They didn't use pancetta and instead of bacon, which lacked taste. Just kinda like goop at the end of it. During the entire hour we were there not a single waiter stopped by to ask about the food. Ended up just telling the person gathering our dishes, in which he had little to no reply. It doesn't even matter the price but this spot is a waste of money.
