First restaurant I had in NYC and everything was delicious! Pricey? Yes. Delicious? YES. Apps: FRITTO MISTO (calamari) 5/5Pasta: CAVATELLI BARESE 4/5. This might not be everyone's favorite, as it has a lighter and slightly bitter profile from the broccoli, but the more we ate the better it became! It leaves you with just enough flavor for you to be wanting more. Great for people who prefer lighter sodium flavor profile. Pizza: TARTUFO 5/5.This fed three girls and we had leftovers.

Yummy Italian food, but not the most incredible. The pasta was good and tasted fresh but of all of our dishes no one commented anything great. It felt like it was lacking some depth to dishes. The overall ambiance was great. It was super cozy, and the Christmas decor is beautiful. The tables are pretty close together but that's pretty normal for restaurants in the area. The service was great and super fast, like pasta came 5 minutes after we ordered fast.

Ate dinner here during the holidays and walking in felt like walking into a warm house party. Brightly lit yet extremely cozy and lively. You can tell that it's a loved establishment and the people dining there are regulars/returners. The menu is a bit of a mixed bag-- my chicken parm was good and nearly bigger than my face (I have a huge face, too), my friend got the margarita pizza, which reminded me of one of those $10 personal pizzas that you can buy at college football games. Our non-alcoholic drinks were basically just club sodas that were 60% ice, which quickly melted and diluted the drinks. If you can, try to avoid sitting in the narrow hallway next to the bathroom--you'll probably be forgotten about.

I've walked past Osteria Nonnino many times, and I'm glad I finally decided to try it last night! The interior is so cute and romantic, very cozy on a cool fall day. Love the lighting. We ordered a caprese salad for an appetizer, and it came with 3 slices of fresh tomato and buffalo mozzarella with a side of roasted red pepper. Not as good as capreses I've had in Italy, but the buffalo mozzarella was delicious and juicy. My friends and I split cacio e pepe, pasta el limone (a special), and the orecchiette con bufala, and they were all delicious! The cacio e pepe was really fun and prepared table side in a large parmesan wheel. It was nice and salty, and I liked how they used bucatini noodles. The pasta el limone was really light and lemony, which cut through the cheese. The orecchiette was probably my favorite - creamy and rich, and I loved the contrast with the cold diced mozzarella. My only complaint about the pastas is that I feel they were a touch overcooked - I prefer my pastas more al dente. We ordered the tableside tiramisu for dinner, and it was a delight to watch. The cream was silky and delicious, one of the best I've had in tiramisu. Beware, though: the espresso will really hit you! My heart was pounding a little afterwards, haha. Overall, Osteria Nonnino is a great place to dine in the West Village without the wait of some of the more popular Italian destinations!

Wanted my visiting family to have Italian food before they left and I'm so glad I found Osteria Nonnino. Came in on a weekend without reservations and we were seated right away. I think we lucked out because it filled up pretty soon after, it's a small restaurant. We had the cacio e pepe and paccheri di Nonnino. The cacio e pepe is prepared in kitchen and put in the cheese wheel tableside for a bit more cheesiness with more grated cheese on top. The paccheri di Nonnino with crumbled sausage and spicy vodka sauce was the unanimous favorite. Going to recommend that to everyone. And the tiramisu made tableside. It's a production by the table, just enjoy the show and devour the dessert!

Osteria Nonnino is a great spot for any occasion! This family run Italian eatery has a great ambiance, warm and friendly staff, and a menu with many great options for everyone! Some highlights of this visit for me were the vodka chicken parm, paper plane, and the tiramisu! I had a great experience here, and I cannot wait for my next visit here!

Great spot!! Located in the West Village which is easily accessible for most with public transportation. Went at the end of December so it was still decorated for Christmas which was a nice added bonus. Started with the meatballs and then my table split 2 pastas - the Cacio e Pepe and the Orecchiette. The Cacio e Pepe was made table side as well as the tiramisu which was delicious as well. Highly recommend this spot, but make sure you grab a reservation!

Osteria Nonnino was such a fantastic experience - from the decorations to the cocktails to the meal itself! I had the paper plane - and it was perfectly made. For dinner we shared the eggplant appetizer, the chicken parm and the lemon fettuccine special. And for dessert we had the tiramisu - which was genuinely spectacular! Highly recommend this place for both the ambiance and the food.
