Osteria57 is a Cozy and rustic Italian restaurant. Reservations are recommended.Ordered the cacio e Pepe and it was out of this world. This is what I was looking for! After trying a Michelin rated Italian restaurant and the same dish, Osteria 57 sure has it beat!! The portion was absolutely perfect. Was able to eat the whole thing, also because it was that good. And made room for dessert. We had the TIRAMISÙ,Housemade espresso savoiardo, mascarpone mousse, cocoa powder, which was a delight! Also had the fluke CRUDO which was magnificent. The ambiance was nice and intimate. And the drinks paired nicely with the dishes. Service was beyond excellent and attentive as well. If I gave any inclination that I was cold, they would adjust the temperature in the room to make it comfortable. Quite amazing. Felt like a real restaurant experience as you could tell waiters were appreciative. Service and dining experience alone would make me want to come back, coupled with the exceptional food is an absolute yes.

Osteria 57 is a cozy Italian spot near West Village with a very vegetarian-friendly menu.Don't try to get in on a weekend without a reservation - it was quite a wait. The drink I had was my favorite thing of the evening - the Viva Amor was my choice and it was perfectly balanced. To eat, the Burrata is a tasty starter. For my pasta I had the Pappardelle Al Tartufo, which was decent but honestly a bit underwhelming, especially for the price.I wouldn't be against going back and trying some other pastas! Next time I would also make a reservation.

This is a gem, especially if you're looking for a romantic date night spot. The ambiance is intimate, warm, and inviting.I visited during NYC Restaurant Week ($45 for a three-course meal). I started with the Ricotta Toast, which was incredible--the combination of truffle honey, sourdough, and shaved truffle was delicious. For my main, I had the Bucatini Swordfish "Bolognese," a unique twist on a classic pasta dish. To finish, the Polenta Cake was a tasty dessert.

I've tried many versions of Cacio E Pepe, but the one at Osteria 57 truly stands out. The pasta is perfectly cooked to an ideal al dente texture, providing a satisfying bite. The sauce is luxuriously creamy with a rich, peppery flavor that isn't too overwhelming but just right. It's one of those simple dishes that, despite its minimal ingredients, is executed so beautifully that it keeps you coming back for more. Every time I visit, it's the dish I find myself craving!

Very well done dishes, across the board. Leans heavily on veggie side, but not exclusively. But a great place for people/groups that shy away from meat.Vodka sauce excellent!! The pasta with Italian sausage was also very good.

I don't have enough good things to say about this place!! It is THE best Italian restaurant I've tried in years! Authentic, great quality (they actually use olive oil/not garbage seed oils like many place), incredible and unique flavors (the saffron garganelli is a must-try and lobster pasta was incredible but that was a restaurant week special). The berry tart was delicious too, and not too sweet.

Skip! They can't do anything right! Roasted Cauliflower app for $19 in 3 sauces was cold out of fridge. Salad was $21. My Cacio e Pepe was so salty I stopped eating it out of fear I would have a stroke. The first drink I ordered with frothy egg-whites on top was so herbal and harsh I nearly choked. I returned it for a martini - it wasn't that cold and just tasted bad. Room where we sat so dark I could not see the 3 sauces without turning on my phone.Total bill $240 for maybe the worst meal I have ever had in NYC and I have lived here a long time. Go anywhere else. Total waste of money.

Fantastic italian food with reasonable pricing! We came as a group of 6 with a reservation (definitely recommend making one before coming it gets packed!). Here's what we got: Whipped Ricotta Truffle Toast - this was by far the best things we got here. The fresh truffles, creamy ricotta, and hot honey was a combination to die for! Unfortunately it was a special for that day but they should 100% add this to their regular menu it was so good!Crispy Cauliflower - this can be skipped, it was pretty bland in my opinion. The inside was also pretty mushyBurrata Pasta - this was spicy, tangy, and perfectly al dente. Definitely more of a simpler/basic option out of the other pastas but still pretty good Cacio E Pepe - this was perfection! perfect balance of cheese/pepper. My favorite pasta here!Maflade Pistachio - this was super unique and tasty! Never had a pesto with pistachios but it was really good!Mushroom Gnocchi - this was also a special for the day. The gnocchi was super light and fluffy and the mushrooms were perfectly tenderOverall, had a fantastic meal here and would 100% be back for more!

Warm + flattering lighting so nice for a romantic date but not a first date (too loud + crowded) HIGHLY recommend the pistachio mouse. You can split with 3 people despite the small size. Went with a large group. Relatively loud restaurant, so a little hard to talk across the table. You will probably not get full off of just one pasta dish because of the serving sizes. Need to get appetizers/ share plates.

Superb swanky Italian joint! This place is a vibe. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I was visiting from out of town and chose here based off of the reviews and boy did it live up to my expectations! Service and food were both great. It looks like the menu changes with the seasons, so I guess I'll just keep dreaming of this truffle pappardelle until we meet again.....
