One White Street delivered great food and excellent service Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The award-winning chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu, and they offer one of the best wines in the region. They get new menu every couple of months and make it more fun to try new dishes.

I visited One White Street for a Saratoga Water & Michelin event. I had been wanting to visit One White Street for a while and the value for this evening was amazing ($125 for the food and paired wines) so I booked up and went solo. We started with the fennel salad, I asked to have this without the blue cheese which they kindly accommodated. I have to admit I am not a huge salad person and very rarely order it. However, this was lovely and paired so well with the wine selected (I will be ordering fennel salad again in the future). We then moved onto the Foie Gras, which is the dish I had been looking forward to the most. This was delicious, so rich and decedent (there was an extremely generous serving of truffles with this). The bread served alongside this was some of the best I have had, so light and with a great little bit of salt on it. We then moved onto the gnocchi which was somehow dense but light at the same time. The sauce this came with was divine and I could have eaten another portion of this dish. By this point I was feeling pretty full but the duck was next. The duck was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so rich and tasty. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish my dish but this was due to me being full, not the quality. The only dish I did not enjoy was dessert. I love chestnut based desserts but the sweet potato and chestnut dish was just not for me. I did not enjoy the texture of the dish or the taste. It was interesting to try though and have to admire the creativity. The restaurant itself is very small and homely feeling. I only saw the second and third floor (both small) but understand the downstairs area is a little bigger. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and think it would be lovely for a date night. All in all I really enjoyed my evening and the food and wine was lovely. I would definitely return to try other dishes here.

Service was a little like the city, rude. The wine guy however was a delight and very knowledgeable. It's a small spot so be prepared to sit outdoors in the heated patio which wasn't bad & designed well considering the limited space. My biggest problem was the fact our duck was overcooked. The truffle gnocchi was a little light - I'd be fine with same amount of truffle but slightly more gnocchi to make it more filling. It was a good spot but nothing I'd be dying to go back to

KenScale: 8.0/10Visit: December 2023Since we moved to the DC metro area, my wife Jun and I hadn't been to too many new restaurants whenever we visited NYC. Given the limited amount of time we often had while visiting the city, we would rather re-visit our old favorites where we personally know the chef or manager. Toward the end of last year, we had a last-minute trip to spend the New Year's Eve with our friends living in Brooklyn. As the plan happened at the last minute, we of course were unable to secure reservations at one of our favorite restaurants and had to find a new place for dinner with the friends the day we arrived in Brooklyn. There was an opening at One White Street when I was browsing Resy. I looked it up and it turned out the restaurant already has one Michelin star and is led by an Eleven Madison Park (before the ill-fated transition to vegetable-only menu) vet who also worked at the highly acclaimed Frenchie in Paris. We figured we would have at worst a decent meal (at the end of the day, catching up with our friends was more important); One White Street, however, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant, located in a historic townhouse in Tribeca, offers both a la carte (which we chose) and a tasting menu option. You probably have seen dozens of farm-to-table restaurants in New York City by now, but what distinguishes One White Street is its smart precision in globally influenced cooking, using the ingredients directly sourced from its farm in the Hudson Valley. While the cooking here was not something we hadn't seen elsewhere before, I was rather impressed with the surprisingly high level of execution and thoughtfulness behind each dish. If it's on the menu, I recommend starting your meal with smoked carrot focaccia with carrot muhammara that made me realize that this was no ordinary restaurant. A citrusy dish of Long Island flue crudo with kohlrabi and vadouvan curry was a nice appetizer, as was the chilled foie gras that one of our friends who is French Canadian enjoyed with approval. The mushroom stuffed pasta was another solid dish with aromatic porcini beurre blanc sauce. We also split two main dishes, grilled striped bass with Manila clams and crispy pork with polenta and turnips, that I thought were also generally well-executed in both flavor and texture without serious issues. The addition of fresh vegetable side dishes like roasted cabbage and glazed root vegetables of carrots and turnips to the main dishes certainly helped, too. The dining space on the first floor (which is for wine bar and a la carte diners, while higher floors seem to be open only for tasting menus) is somewhat modest in size, so if you are looking to secure seats for prime-time dinners, you could consider making a reservation in advance. There is a full bar at the restaurant with surprisingly expansive list of wines curated by a wine and beverage director who also worked at EMP as well as its sister restaurant The NoMad. One White Street was the last restaurant meal for us in 2023. It doesn't take itself too seriously while also showing all the positive qualities that make NYC dining so exciting all the time.

Lovely spot in Tribeca. It's worth the try if you're in the area. My boyfriend and I did the tasting menu and it was an eclectic menu and very unique with the different items listed on there. It was a little out of my comfort zone but I'm glad I went here. Cozy ambiance, we sat on the second floor. My favorite was the wagyu and the gnocchi. Service could have been a little more attentive (they forgot my requested drink for a period of time between plates but luckily I flagged someone to get the drink eventually).

Ambiance: I love the aesthetic of restaurant! It's small yet not overcrowded, catering the right number of guest in each dinning area. Modern finishes with elegance at the forefront. Service: wonderful team! Everyone was attentive but not overbearing. Very knowledgable of the ingredients and offered great suggestions on cocktails. Food: I part took in the tasting menu which was $168pp. The food was great overall, but I did think the portion sizes could be bigger. My friend left hungry and if I didn't have a big lunch I probably would have been too. Also I did think some dishes were a little heavy on the salt. My favorite on the tasting menu was the duck and scallop. Perfectly cook and packed with flavor.

5-star experience. It was easy to get a table at one White street online and the food was delicious. Do not miss the focaccia! Our server said meals are served family style and made a couple of recommendations and all were pretty good. We might go back and try the tasting menu but the ala cart items were pretty good. Started with heirloom tomato carpaccio and roasted tomato focaccia. For our main course we split the double cheese burger, so juicy, and stuffed chicken- tender and flavorful! We had reserved a table outside and luckily it was nice out.
