I cannot rave about this place enough! $5 Negroni happy hour and the most delicious pizzas with a side of amazing service and a beautiful ambiance. This happy hour is the best.

One Fifth has a really nice cozy, romantic ambiance. Seems like they rotate their menu depending on what is seasonal so apologies in advance as this review is very delayed and not reflective of their current menu. It's pretty easy to make a reservation and we were seated right away. We started off with the sourdough pillow, which I HIGHLY recommend. For our main course we ordered a summer pizza (had peaches and different types of cheese) and the crust was super thin. Really interesting combination of flavors and pleasantly surprised me. We also got roasted chicken. I don't typically like to order chicken when I go out to eat, but our waiter had recommended this dish. The chicken was cooked really well- super juicy and the skin was nice and crispy. Overall, the food definitely wasn't bad but nothing really stood out except for maybe the sourdough pillow. If you are looking for a cozy place without worrying about fighting for a reservation, this isn't a bad option.

Well, this place is not Otto's ( those of you who had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant that was previously here will get it). Yes, the bar is the same and rest of the inside is the same but the vibe is different. Walked in a on Wednesday late afternoon & easily got 2 seats at the bar. Happy Hour is from 4-7pm so we made that. There's a good assortment of drinks, pizzas, apps on the HH menu. Had a great glass of Prosecco; husband a bottled beer - no drafts available. We split a crudite app- was ok but wouldn't order again . Also split a margarita pizzette ( 2 generous slices per)- tasty & crust was good. Finally had great decaf cappuccino, served with delicious biscotti & gelato ( olive oil & chocolate ). Husband & I concurred that the dessert & cappucino were the best part of the meal. Would probably go back for drinks & dessert only. Service was fine also.Guess we were hoping for a reincarnation of Otto's where there was a great vibe at the bar, familiar bartenders & outstanding menu, from apps thru the mains. Unfortunately we had to come down to earth.

I went for the happy hour on Saturday at 4 PM. I got two $5 Negronis which finally won me over on the drink. I also ordered the MOZZARELLA IN CARROZZA. I would recommend.

A nice neighborhood restaurant with good food and drinks, the table side cocktail is especially fun to order. Would return when in the area.

Some highlights at a location from which an evening could flow nicely into a walk around the park, but not worth a return trip. Played up the "shareable" angle but for dishes like the (expensive) pork chop I couldn't have shared that even with my mom's cat. The pastas weren't good, with watery sauces and poorly-packed fillings. The pizza was great, as was the tiramisu.I really liked one of the earliest reviews where the reviewer focused on how CONFUSING the words used on the menu are unless you speak Italian. Somebody should tell whoever designed the menu what the meaning of "trattoria" is.

One star for service because service was perfectly fine. One star for ambiance, it's kind of a classic older persons haunt in Greenwich Village. Somewhere you can feel comfortable taking your grandparents. No stars for the food. But I only tried one thing on the menu. My friends seemed perfectly content with their pizza, so there is that.I ordered the spaghetti limone.I love spaghetti limone. Maybe my mistake is expecting Via Carota or I Sodi -level lemon pasta, which this place is not.But first of all, they didn't serve spaghetti. They served me angel hair pasta or capellini. Idk if they were out, or they don't know the difference. Ultimately, it isn't what's going to make or break the dish.Actually, issue is with the "limone" or lemon sauce. It's very heavily mayonnaise-y, bordering on up macaroni salad-type flavor with a hint of lemon. It's not what constitutes a lemon pasta. Maybe this is their take on a spaghetti limone, but it's bad. I wouldn't go out of way to come back here because I've kind of lost confidence, but if someone else wanted to go, I'd give another chance because the staples show promise.

I had high expectations before dining here. The menu looked electic. It was a big disappointment. The service was friendly but that was about it. It took 15 mins from the time we sat before a server approached. He was great with suggestions, but we never saw him again until our 2 courses were over. He never checked on us, and the glass of wine we ordered never came. What saved the staff on the gratuity, which was deserving of 15% or less, was the bus person. He was the only one who was attentive to us with refilling our water and wrapping up leftovers. He was great. The food overall was not a good experience. The Cabonara Pizza, the guanciale was way too salty and completely overwhelmed the rest of the pizza. All you tasted was salt with a hint of ham taste and bits of red onion. The Squash blossom was good, and the ricotta filling was delicious, but I don't understand hot food placed on top of a chilled squash salad. The vinegar dressing was way too sour and again completely overwhelmed the dish. The Calamari was decent. It was tender and lightly sauced with a good crunchy breadcrumb topping. The Rigatoni Ala vodka. Again, it was way too salty and overwhelmed the dish. It's not a good dish. The Branzino was the best dish we had. The fish flesh was cooked perfectly tender, and the smokey flavor was nice. Unfortunately, this was a one and done.

An aesthetic ambience in a beautiful 1930's co-op. The quaint atmosphere along with wonderful service and a good menu make this place worthy of a return visit. The portions are not generous, but certainly enough to satisfy without feeling bloated. No hesitation in recommending a visit.
