Came here for my birthday on a Thursday night. Sat outside in the back and it was still comfortable out there in 62 degree weather. My personal favorite was the burger w/ the duck fat fries, and the carrot crepe. My boyfriend loved the kale & crab rangoon and the scallops (the sauce that came with the scallops was very spicy!) Overall, this was an excellent experience, and half of the reason I will be coming back is the wait staff alone. Our server Sofi made the night that much better! They were nice, helpful with suggestions, and so easy to talk to I wanted to pull up a chair and just have them join us. There was also a kind server with longer hair that has only been working there for 7 months (I wish I remembered their name!) They were very knowledgable about the menu and the restaurant as a whole! I had really wanted to try the s'mores dessert, but thought $22 was a steep price, until it all came out. The marshmallows and graham crackers were homemade, and being able to sit and roast a marshmallow in Brooklyn ... so unique and such a fun idea! Will definitely come back!

Sat at the Chef's table for the Tasting Menu at Olmsted. An amazing meal while watching three talented chefs feed a whole restaurant on a busy Saturday night. The menu was 89 dollars and quite a good value for the quality of food and service. Small bites included, Tempura Broccolini with the most amazing sauce, Falafel with "whipped honey" and a liver pate take on a bahn mi sandwich. Don't miss the monk fish or the rutabaga tagliatelle! Service and atmosphere was great!

The food was full of flavor that my taste thoroughly enjoyed. The watermelon sushi had quite the mix of flavors. The service was mixed we booked the dining room but was sat in the garden room. The vibe was great for dinner

Had a lovely time with friends. A bit pricey, but great for a special time/occasion. The food was very well done/presented.

I think it's a 3.5/5, New American that's a bit of a hit or miss situation. Carrot crepe and the squid ceviche are delicious. Thick-cut bacon cheese burger is well executed, but the key ingredient, beef patty, doesn't taste like high quality beef. I thought the pasta dish was real pasta with some decorative root vegetables, my bad, but the richness of cheese and truffle went wasted on those ribbon shaped rutabaga imo. Grilled monk fish was small in portion and the sauce was weird. Falafel w/ whipped honey was decent, even for someone who doesn't like falafel. I wish we had some bread to dip the remaining whipped honey with. Chocolate tart and banh mi were unmemorable. Wine list looks meh. We didn't order any of the cocktails although judging by the menu, some options look very clever and interesting. Service staff were kind and friendly, so four star.

Olmsted had been on my list since I first read about it in Condé Nast Traveler so I was excited for my first venture into Brooklyn as I usually spend time in Manhattan. I was well on my way until I got on the wrong train and realized to my dismay that I was going to be 45 minutes late! I tried calling the restaurant but was directed to email them which further stressed me out because I assumed I would have to make alternate plans. As soon as I entered, I apologized profusely to Michaela and she calmed me down immediately be explaining that even seasoned New Yorkers sometimes get on the wrong train. She did everything she could and secured me a seat at the bar. I was so grateful! As soon as I sat down, Mark, the bartender laughed and joked with me about my experience and soon after I was greeted by my waiter Greg, who was fantastic and by the end of the night, I was just in awe of the hospitality of the entire staff. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the curated playlist with artists ranging from Amy Winehouse to Corrine Bailey Rae and Outkast, created an invigorating and lively atmosphere. For drinks, I started with The Fennel which was really good, but the showstopper was Greg's creation which will soon be featured, "The Cucumber". It was fire and aesthetically pleasing!I like that you have an option for either the a la carte menu or the tasting menu and I chose the tasting menu and added on the pumpkin kouign-amann. The dishes were all delicious except I was not too crazy about the rutabaga tagliatelle.Olmsted is truly a neighborhood gem and not to be overlooked.

Banh Mi, monkfish, carrot crepe and lamb are to die for! One of our favorite neighborhood spots for dinner. But make a reservation.

Middest meal of my life. We got the crab rangoon, leg of lamb, potato gnocchi, and monk fish. The only thing good here was the monk fish...Crab rangoon was like so average. Nothing popped out from it, it was just painfully average. Potato gnocchi wasn't bad, a bit salty thoughLeg of lamb was so gamey and tough, worst thing I had here. Service was great and ambiance was great but im not eating ambiance so this is mid af. I assume mid usually means 3 but i felt like it was also expensive and not that impressive so whatever

This place is really really nice but something always feels not quite up to the hype. That being said, the food is innovative and the menu changes every 3 months. The aesthetic and vibe is cool earthy modern. Wouldn't go out of my way, but would go again if someone wanted to!

We made reservations on the enclosed patio which was so gorgeous and very warm despite it being February. Our waiter David was probably the best server I had ever had. His timing was impeccable, he gave incredible suggestions and great banter- we were laughing with him all night. This is the kind of place you want to stay a couple of hours at.... AMAZING food that changes with the season (my favorite was the hamachi crisp and the duck pastrami). I had the blood orange cocktail which was absolutely delicious. Everything about our experience was incredible and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen even brought us multiple "gifts," free little dishes that only added to the experience. If you go, and you should, ask for David!!!! He's the best
