The perfect restaurant to celebrate a special occasion! great polished Korean dishes that have great flavors & an even better aftertaste Food 5/5Service 5/5 - attentive servers who will come by every second Ambiance 5/5 - gorgeous interior; perfect for date nightWhat I ordered: lobster chili ramyun- cold creamy spice; lovely texture and slurped very nicely dry aged duck - tender meat with crispy skin. Great pairing with wine date sauce and sautéed spinach with muchroomsooyoo bingsu - soft fluffy creamy shaved ice. lovely texturebossam - the sauce pairings were the highlight of the dish. Mustard was great with the oysters and red sauce is a must on the Bossam. Great after taste! Oysters were not the best I've had tho.

Got the prix fixe which had a couple of dishes we really loved, but some that were just okay so 4/5 stars overall.1st course:I liked all 3 dishes but gyeran-jjim was by far my favorite! I thought the pumpkin soup had very uniquely blended flavors that went perfectly together and the extra crunch at the bottom of the dish was a nice touch. 2nd course:We opted for the bossam for 2 but wished we had picked one of the other options. While the bossam was tasty, we felt like we've had bossam at casual korean restaurants that were just as delicious or even better. They do provide raw oyster to eat with the bossam but they were very mild so we could not taste oyster at all when eating oyster+pork+condiments together. 3rd course:Oiji bowl was fresh but didn't stand out to us. But my bf's lobster ramyun was really excellent!! I loved the texture and flavor.4th course:Bf's sea bass was fine but the fish was def a side character while the broth was the main character. We both liked my dry-aged duck a lot more than the sea bass. Duck was cooked exquisitely and I loooved the chewy potato dumplings personally. 5th course:Desserts were lowkey my favorite part of this meal. Given 3 options and only 2 people, we had a hard time choosing which 2 we would try so we ended up ordering the 3rd a la carte so we could try them all. Chapssal donuts were hands down our favorite!! I thought the black sugar bingsu was tasty too - although I feel like it's not hard to get tasty bingsu in a casual setting, I thought the black tea cream on top of the shaved ice was a really nice touch and we liked that the boba came on the side so that it didn't get cold/hard on the ice. Basque cheesecake we both thought had too much yuzu flavor which was overpowering. Otherwise I really loved the texture, just wished we could've tasted more of the actual cheesecake flavor.

I've been eager to try Oiji Mi for a while, and I finally had the chance. While the dining experience was impressive, it's definitely on the pricey side. The 5-course prix-fixe menu is $150 per person, and while the dishes were innovative, the portions were on the smaller side. Here's a breakdown of the meal:First Course:The standout for me was the spotted prawn, beautifully presented on a sea scallop shell. It was incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with a vibrant vinaigrette. The beef tartare, wrapped in rice paper like a spring roll and topped with caviar, was decent but didn't wow me. The gyeran-jjim had a soft, tofu-like texture (almost like a custard) rather than a soup, and it was absolutely delicious--an excellent start to the meal.Second Course:The Bossam (for two) was a DIY dish featuring pork belly, lettuce wraps, raw oysters, various sauces, and pickled daikon. While the pork belly and accompaniments were delicious, I personally felt the oysters didn't pair well with the lettuce wraps and pork belly. The oysters were better on their own.Third Course:The Oiji Bowl ($25 supplement) featured sea urchin, spotted prawn, and ikura over seaweed rice. It was absolutely delicious but very small--not meant to be shared.Fourth Course:The dry-aged duck was served with potato dumplings (reminiscent of fried gnocchi) and baby carrots. The duck itself was tender and flavorful, with a unique airy texture on the skin rather than a crispy one--it worked surprisingly well. The Wagyu was another highlight, cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy.Fifth Course:Dessert was the ultimate highlight of the meal. The black sugar bingsu is a must-try--it's like bubble tea in dessert form, with shaved ice, black sugar syrup, tapioca, and cream. Another standout was the chapssal donut, a fried donut filled with Gruyère cheese. The savory-sweet combination was an unexpected but delightful surprise.Cocktails:The cocktails were decent but also on the pricey side. The "Melon Fight Milk" was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet, while the "K.O. Kong" was a bit too sweet for my taste.Overall Experience:The service was excellent--efficient and attentive. For two people, after tax, drinks, supplements, and gratuity, the total came out to $550. While it's undeniably expensive, I'd recommend Oiji Mi for a special occasion.

Went here for NYE to celebrate and I have to say, I was very impressed. I want to caveat a bit that we received an 8-course menu, which is not the typical menu featured at Oiji Mi, but even with the expanded menu service went off without a hitch. Food was all done to technical perfection. The short rib was absurdly tender, the amuse trio was super fun, and the scallops were perfect cooked. For a $50 dollar supplement, the Oiji Bowl was super fun and absolutely delicious. At the end, we were incredibly full and satisfied.Service was as expected: excellent. Even with the larger menu, dishes came out quickly. Despite the pace, we never felt rushed throughout our meal. They really do make you feel taken care of.Lastly, thought the restaurant did a great job with the NYE celebration. The restaurant was filled with balloons, NYE celebratory materials were handed out, and they even brought out a projector to show the ball drop. I don't think I could've planned a better way to celebrate the new year.

It was a really good meal but not the best meal ever. I really enjoyed the ambiance and vibes of the resturant. It was really pretty but cozy at the same time. Husband and I got the prefixed 5 course meal. Overall everything was good but I probably would not go back, but good to try once. I think the only item that really stood out was the lobster ramyun. Drinks were good also!

We celebrated my wife's birthday at Oiji Mi and invited some of her friends to join us. The experience was incredible from start to finish. The service and atmosphere were top-notch--the staff was welcoming, attentive, and happy to answer any questions we had with a smile. We opted for the prix fixe menu, and every dish was outstanding. Their cocktails were also expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. While Oiji Mi is on the pricey side, the quality of the food, flavors, and overall experience made it well worth the cost. The Oiji Bowl was a standout for me. I do wish I had tried a few pieces of uni on their own before mixing everything together, but even so, the bowl was fantastic. Just a heads-up: the Oiji Bowl is market price (MP), so it's worth asking the staff about the additional cost beyond the prix fixe menu. One of my wife's friends ordered the lobster ramen, which was chilled and surprisingly good--I almost wished I'd ordered it alongside my Oiji Bowl. For the following course, I had the Wagyu, my wife had the scallops, and one of her pregnant friends ordered the duck. The duck was served medium, but to ensure it was safe for her, we asked if it could be cooked well-done. The staff was incredibly accommodating, apologized, and quickly prepared it to her preference. For dessert, the Bingsu was the undeniable star. The doughnut and cheesecake were also delicious, but everyone at the table agreed the Bingsu stole the show.Overall, we had an amazing time at Oiji Mi. The food, service, and atmosphere made the evening truly special. When we're back in NYC, we'd love to return to Oiji Mi!

Came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We were intrigued by the menu and decided to try the 5-course Prix-Fixe menu (which was $150pp, amazing). We were able to choose four out of five of the plates, as the first course was going to be all of the three choices. We loved every taste, the attention to details, the decor in the place, and the drinks. Services was fast and attentive, they were ready to answer every question. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was the price of bottled water ($14??) Overall I would go back to try the other dishes!

Excellent service and delicious food. Great ambiance for any occasion. The appetizers were probably the best and while the uni rice bowl was a little underwhelming for me, it was still delicious. Would definitely go back and highly recommend people to try - obviously a little pricey so special occasions or work events would be best unless you're just craving for a casual luxurious dinner

We had the pleasure of dining at Oiji Mi for their 7-course Christmas menu, and it was nothing short of impeccable. Each dish was a masterpiece, combining traditional Korean flavors with innovative culinary techniques. The presentation was stunning, and every bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that left us in awe. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the exceptional service. The staff at Oiji Mi were nothing short of extraordinary, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a flawless evening. They explained every course with precision and care, making us feel warmly welcomed and thoroughly pampered throughout the meal. The ambiance was warm and elegant, providing the perfect setting for a festive celebration. Oiji Mi is a true gem in the city, and their ability to elevate Korean cuisine to this level is remarkable. We are already looking forward to our next visit to explore more of their creations.Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience with world-class service!
