So yummy! When we went to try Nyonya, one of my favorite dishes was the crispy chicken with salad. It felt like having a meal from home. The chicken had such a delicious aroma, and the color was so stunning. It's a lot of fun too. When you eat it, there is the softness of the chicken and the crunch of the salad. The mayonnaise marinade allows for a brighter taste. I think what added to my love for the dish was the service that was brought with it. Treated with kindness just adds so much more flavor to a dish.

If you're in Chinatown and craving some incredible Malaysian food, Nyonya is a must-visit! This spot has been around for years and has even made it onto the Michelin Guide, so you know it's legit. Not only are the prices super affordable, but the food is packed with flavor and keeps me coming back every time.My go-to dishes? The Hainanese chicken is ridiculously tender and tasty, the steamed fish in their house special sauce is bursting with flavor, and the prawn mee is hands-down one of the best I've ever had. This place has that cozy, old-school vibe that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden gem. Just a heads-up--they're cash only, so don't forget to bring some bills. If you're in Chinatown, Manhattan, make sure to check out Nyonya--you won't regret it!Featuring Hainanese ChickenPrawn MeeSteamed Fish with house special sauce Bak Kut TehNyonya Young TofuABC shaved iceBuboh Chacha Coconut water

The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty basic but I wasn't expecting much to be honest. The size of the restaurant is good and it is very busy which is also good. The service was good and they have friendly staff. My fav 2 dishes were the Roti prataAnd Roti canai they are both good. I prefer the thicker one.The Fried crispy vegetarian duck is good but to me it didn't taste like duck and the texture is very saturated with the sauce. Both the Malesian tea and coconut Coconut drink were goodSesame chicken was a good sized portion along with the Vegetable dumplings.I was not a fan at all of the Ginger duck which is why my rating was a 4 because I have no idea what that was...def didn't taste or look like duck.Peanut pancake w ice cream and Profiteroles are good dessert choices. We ordered a lot lol

I think the quality of the food at this place has gone down tremendously. I came here maybe 15 years ago and I loved their food, but now the taste and flavor is not the same.Mee siam - i ordered this dish a year ago ans the flavors ornthebspice was there, when I had this yesterday, it was very bland. It's a night and day if you look at the pictures to compareWonton mee - unfortunately the simplest fish is where they messed up. Not just one but twice. The wonton was raw and I showed the waiter, he took it back and had a new one sent out right away. Again the wonton was raw at thisb point I told them to cancel it. I am not risking to eat raw pork. The garlic chicken - a dish i can actually say it was not bad. The garlic and soy sauce together was good. It was not too oily nor salty..Curry mee with shredded chicken - the chi Ken slices were way too overcooked that it became very dry even with the soup!!

this spot is an absolute hidden gem in chinatown, nyc and it's a must visit if you're looking for a cozy meal. the appetizers you must get is their roti and chicken satay. both are such a classic and you can't go wrong with either. I really enjoyed their fried pearl noodles. It was flavorful and delicious. for drinks we got the watermelon & lychee juice and malaysian ice tea which were both sooo good. depends on if you're feeling something fruity or milky. service was amazing and super friendly. our food came out pretty quick.

Despite this place being cash only, it offers really generous portions for the prices. Just one item from the menu is more than enough food for one person. I visited with my friend just before 12 which happened to be before the lunch rush. We tried ginger duck noodle soup (duck was super tender), hokkien char mee (large portion, good wok hei, lots of seafood), roti telur (crispy and pairs well with the curry), shrimp puff (kinda hard to eat, would pass) and teh tarik (tasted just like the ones in Singapore). The portions were very generous and we even had a bunch of food left over. Waiters speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Their bathrooms surprised me as they were clean and had soap and paper towels! It also didn't smell which is always a plus in my book.

Nyonya came highly recommended because I have been on a hainan chicken craze! So we finally stopped by on a Sunday late afternoon/ early dinner hour. It wasn't too crowded. Restaurant is simple, not fancy by any means. And they only take cash! So remember to get enough cash! We ordered the roti, hubby loved the curry sauce the dunk it with! And of course the hainan chicken (1/2 order), veggies, sizzling beef with black peppercorns and the mango chicken (which hubby loved! As it came cooked with fresh mango and in a fresh mango!). We ended up finishing most of the dishes! We also got a chicken rice, which didn't really have much chicken broth flavor. Overall solid food, I enjoyed the hainan chicken and would likely return for a casual down to earth meal.

My go to place if I want Malaysian cuisine. Get the fish head soup. It's deep fried and it's in a tamarind base. Always get the roti cani. It's flaky and the curry is very flavorful. Never forget the belacan water spinach. Very flavorful. The service is quick and the place gets pretty busy.

Great food, drink, service and decoration. Total cost about 120dollars per person. Too much noise as all tables are squeezed into a small room.
