Nuovo York Pizza

Not your typical pizzeria. The pizzas are visually pleasing to the eye and the ingredients are super fresh. I had the margarita and bbq chicken slice. Loved the crispy texture of the bread. The Sicilian one looked like topping are on top of focaccia bread, which is pretty unique. Very satisfying and filling. Also, cool to meet the owner who recommended the mushroom, spinach slice. He was kind and gave us a sample. Very tasty with the mushrooms viable and the spinach tucked underneath. If you want something different than the usual pizza places, try this casual spot. note: went as a yelp elite guest.

In a town full of good pizza Nuovo York shines as a top slice shop. So many slice shops don't show that they care, they're out to feed drunk masses. Yeah there are the Joe's out there that clearly care and there are lines out the door, but Nuovo York is different. It feels personal and it feels like the owner is happy when you walk in.He cares so much about his pizza, this man was a chemist and came up with a pizza recipe that he believes is scientifically delicious. I'll give it my endorsement, it's really darn good. Now is it as good as a sit down pie at Una Pizza Napoletana, I don't think so, but you have more options here, and you don't need a reservation.Clear winner in my book is the Pepperoni Pesto slice - I love Pepperoni, I love Pesto, and both together couldn't be better. Also they have Perrier in glass bottles - that's worth just coming in...any 4.5 stars they might have had before are now 5. Stellar job Nuovo York!

disclaimer: went as a yelp elite guest and received complimentary slices and a drink. overall great pizza, consistent texture throughout, the margherita and spinach mushroom slices were complex with great flavor, vodka slice also solid. barbecue chicken was my least favorite but still a good slice. the staff is very friendly and there was a decent amount of seating. very quick service and clean premises.

Nuovo York Pizza, located right near Washington Square and not far from Union Square, is an absolute gem. I tried the square pepperoni, and those crispy corners are a game-changer--if you're into that extra crunch, you gotta get it. The pesto pepperoni slice was delicious. I lived by a place in Queens that's known for their pesto slice so I was shook when I tried this one. The creamy mushroom was my favorite though. It was light, flavorful, and doesn't feel heavy at all. I had another slice that was topped with Arugula, that was a total win because it adds the perfect fresh kick. While eating here I noticed that this place is clearly a local hangout. People were constantly popping in for a slice. Heads up, they've got a great lunch specials too and the prices are super reasonable for the quality. The star of the show and I almost ate the whole tray by myself were the Parmesan bites. So crispy and so addictive. Talking to the owner about how they use fresh ingredients just made me appreciate the food even more. Definitely a spot I'll be back to soon!

I absolutely loved the pizza here and can't wait to try every single slice! I started with a slice of the signature Spinach Mushroom and the Cherry Charm, and both were incredible. The Spinach Mushroom slice features a perfectly balanced layer of spinach, mushrooms, and a light yet satisfying cream sauce--easily one of my new all-time favorite NYC slices! The Cherry Charm, topped with fresh tomatoes, arugula, and creamy burrata, was fresh and well-balanced.I also ordered a heart-shaped pepperoni pizza to-go for my roommate and me. It was absolutely loaded with pepperoni and so much fun to share--perfect for a cozy night in or a special occasion!I also learned that the chef and owner, Atalay, uses his background in chemical engineering to craft the perfect slices, which explains the incredible attention to detail in every bite. The variety of slices here is amazing, like the Pesto Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, Vodka, and more! You can't go wrong!

I love pizza and I couldn't wait to try. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into a busy pizzeria. We were served by a super nice staff. We had:Spinach mushroom sliceCherry tomato slicePesto Pepperoni sliceMargarita Garlic knots Herald square The pizza and garlic knots were really good. My favorite being the Spinach mushroom slice. Everything was delicious all in all!

I just gotta add - in addition to the stupendous slices, DO KNOT FORGET ABOUT THEIR GARLIC KNOTS. Suuuuper yum!

We had such a hard time finding great pizza on our latest NYC trip but Nuovo was the best we had. We tried the pepperoni pizza which was good. The margarita pizza was very good and so was the pesto pizza. My partner got a square pizza and it was not that great. We just took 2 bites. Overall good pizza.

Came here with my sister as a plus one for an event and tried 4 different slices of pizza. I was pleasantly surprised! The pizza was really good and flavorful with some unique combinations. I had a mushroom spinach and pepperoni pesto slice. My sister had plain pepperoni and something else I can't remember the name of but was yummy. The pepperoni was packed to the brim! It's a cute little spot and the staff was extremely nice. I also really liked the story of the place and the owner! Would come again!

Nuovo York is such a great spot! The staff were super friendly, making my first visit feel really welcoming. The space itself is clean, bright, and fresh, creating a chill place to sit and enjoy a slice. Their pizza was absolutely delicious--the crust had the perfect texture, and I loved adding Mike's Hot Honey to both of my slices for that perfect sweet and spicy kick. The drink selection was solid, and they even have some really decor. It was a great place to bring a friend, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.
