This is one of the best Korean bbq places I've been to in the states and it definitely lived up to the hype. We got the beef large package and added an additional pork belly with soybean paste soup. Every cut of meat was super tender and flavorful, with the marinated short rib in particular being my favorite. The steamed egg also deserved praise by itself, probably the best steamed egg I've had with a texture like a soufflé.The staff were all super friendly and attentive and we ended the meal with complimentary ice cream. Highly recommend!

The bbq at Nubiani is a consistently excellent experience. The large beef or pork package is great for 3-4 people, or get the Nubiani package if you want a combo of both. The appetisers are very large and great for sharing. Meats are cooked wonderfully and are delicious, same with the steamed egg, banchan, stews, and the dessert. The only challenges are that you may have to wait a bit of time for your table as the place gets really busy (part of the vibe), and sometimes the service can be a little bit cold/casual.

After hearing rave reviews about Nubiani, I was so excited to try it for the first time for my birthday. I was able to get a reservation for two pretty easily and was able to get sat right before my reservation time. The interior is very nice and a good spot for a date or a nice dinner. The one thing I will mention is the awkwardness of the seats since they don't move at all and my feet were dangling the whole time which made it a bit uncomfortable.I had extremely high expectations going into this and knew I would get the small beef package, as it comes with egg, choice of soup, and an assortment of banchan. I also got the shrimp and chive pancake which was so crispy and delicious. They do not have cocktails only soju, beer and wine and all are pretty expensive so I got a glass of prosecco which was good.I like the scallion salad it came with (similar to cote) and the egg soufflé was really good. My favorite banchan was the sweet potato salad and the onions and I thought the rest were okay. You get one choice of soup so we got the kimchi soup which was very good but I wanted to try both. Small beef package was plenty of food for two big eaters especially adding the pancake. The beef was all great quality and I think my favorite was the marinated short rib and the boneless short rib. But, I don't think it was good enough for me to be dying to come back. I also feel like for a party of two they really rushed our service. The service was fine but more about efficiency than friendliness or hospitable service. The bill ended up being quite expensive and I don't feel like the service lived up to the price and the hype of this restaurant. Although I understand their overall concepts are different, I much prefer the Korean steakhouse Cote because it has many great cocktails, better vibe and hospitality, and the food really blew me away. Nubiani was great but a bit pricey for the experience I had and not quite as mind blowing as I had expected. There is no doubt Nubiani is a great restaurant but I wouldn't be dying to come back immediately.

Meat here was really yummy! My boyfriend and I shared the small beef combo, and it was around $205 total with an added beef and squid pancake. We were both full afterwards. The workers here cook the meat in front of you and are each assigned a table, so there's no chance of getting your meat over cooked. The meat was all pretty tender and flavorful compared to a lot of KBBQs in the city. The price wasn't too bad either as the ambience made it a nice date spot. I enjoyed all the meat except the sweet marinated cut that came in the package. The steamed egg was also delish. The beef and squid pancake sucked. I do not recommend it. It was so eggy and flavorless. All in all, solid spot!

Had a weekend dinner reservation for 2 people. Overall I think this place is worth checking out: way better than AYCE and food-wise on par with Cote (just the experience is slightly less elevated & trendy). Ambiance / Things to Consider: overall, ambiance is nice but also casual. You can come dressed in anything (sweats to super trendy). My direct comparison is Cote and this place feels a bit less elevated. If I was taking someone out for a nice dinner, I'd opt for Cote (though Nubiani is still nice). -They really do hold you to the table times (2 people = 90 minutes). So make sure you arrive on time. It almost felt a little rushed. -If you pay with cash, 10% off the bill. There's an atm inside the restaurant. Food: recommend ordering one of the packages. I ordered the Beef Small Package (with boneless short rib - wonderfully marbled & tender). Lots of good banchan and sides come with the meal (choice of stew & egg soufflé & ice cream for dessert). You won't leave hungry. Another difference between this & Cote is they don't ask you how you prefer your meat cooked. But overall it was fine.

After experiencing Nubiani, I can't imagine going back to AYCE Korean BBQ. The meat quality here is exceptional, with stunning marbling, tenderness, and freshness.I ordered the small beef package ($150), which includes a choice between ribeye or short ribs, rib fingers, skirt steak, and seasoned short ribs. I chose the ribeye to enjoy a wider variety of cuts. The package also comes with a choice of stew (kimchi or soybean), along with complimentary fluffy egg and banchan. To top it off, everyone receives a free dessert--a delightful soft serve with citron jam.The beef tartare was an impressive portion, incredibly tender, sweet, and with a hint of umami. It paired perfectly with the sliced pears and raw egg yolk. At $25, it was more than generous and could easily serve four people. The service was attentive and respectful. The servers at the counter thoughtfully recommended the best sauce pairings for each cut of meat, mixed our beef tartare, and served our soybean stew in individual bowls. For a relaxed and upscale Korean BBQ experience, I highly recommend Nubiani! The counter seating offered a more tranquil atmosphere, away from the restaurant's hustle and bustle. Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Nubiani in New York is a Korean BBQ lover's paradise! From the moment you walk in, the tantalizing aroma of grilled meats fills the air, and you know you're in for an unforgettable meal. The quality of the meat is top-notch, from the tender marinated short ribs to the melt-in-your-mouth pork belly. Each cut is seasoned to perfection, and grilling it at your table adds a fun and interactive element to the dining experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, always ready to assist with grilling or offer recommendations. The banchan (side dishes) are plentiful and delicious, with everything from kimchi to pickled radishes that complement the main dishes beautifully. The dipping sauces elevate the flavors even further, making every bite a delight.Nubiani has nailed the combination of authentic Korean flavors with a modern dining ambiance. It's the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again. If you're in New York and craving Korean BBQ, Nubiani is the place to go. Absolutely to die for! 10/15 I would come back again!!!!

Once the elevator doors open you are immediately greeted by a very sophisticated environment. The lighting is very warm and cozy, while also being very clean and well kept. The service was very quick and the staff grills the meat for you. They grilled the ribeye to a perfect medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. The side dishes were a great compliment to the meat and not too overpowering. They give you a complimentary vanilla ice cream with mango jam on top to end the meal, which was fantastic. Highly recommend if you can book a spot!

This is an instant top of top places I've ever eaten. Although this year has just begun. THIS one is going to be hard to beat! The large Beef combo is a perfect amount for 4. Just enough where you don't feel overly stuffed. Don't forget all the complimentary sides you get! The Squid/Beef Pancake was also good. To better understand it's not MIX. They just make half squid and half beef. Incase anyone needs to know. The Seafood Naeng Chae has a kick for you non-spicy eaters out there. Not so much as spicy hot but more refreshing/wasabi vibes. Don't forget to get the egg as well! The exploding steam egg is plus to the meal that you'll be having. The grillmen were at a professional level. Every meat that was cooked was made to perfection. The cut, the grill, the sear was top level. They also explain to you the cut and what sauce that goes well with it. Service was at another level. It's not your typical "how was your meal?" But more so catering to your needs when you need a drink or refills of any sides you may want. You get your own privacy with your groups so they won't hover over you like other places waiting for you to order more. This is a great spot for dates, small groups but make sure to call and make reservations if you're deciding to come end of week or weekends. It will get packed ! I recommend weekdays if possible. Even so still make the reservation. Overall, this is a higher end kind of place where you're going get the best cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. I would definitely come back here again.

10/10 Best KBBQ in the city - coming from a Korean!Food:Super juicy, tender, fresh meat- it definitely has that upscale factor. All of the side dishes and apps were very delicious. The japchae was surprisingly really big portion. My personal fav is always the steamed egg! Hope to try one of the soup/stews next time.Service:It was a couple months ago we went, but I thinkkkkk our server's name was Daniel! Service was so good, I was shocked! Our server always made sure our meat was cooked perfectly, covered the smoke (although I got worried because he was using his hand on the fire...), and was super friendly.Ambiance:We went at nighttime, had some trouble finding the restaurant. Went into the wrong place, it's actually the floor above the other restaurant! The large windows alongside the wall was really pretty at night- you could see the city lights and vibes. The space itself was very large and didn't feel crowded at all, which can be common in KBBQ restaurants.-- Can't wait to come here again next time we are in the city. I would recommend anyone to come on a date night, dinner w friends or family.
