So I came here to this restaurant Sunday, January 26th at 12:30pm for brunch for my husband's cousins 40th birthday. I always heard from my aunt that this was her and her friend's favorite restaurant as well as the birthday boy. So I was very excited to try it out. She told me it was by a globe and I was confused but that then saw Jean-George's written on two doors of the building so I pieced it together. We walked in the two girls in front were extremely polite and asked what reservation we were under and if we wanted to do coat check. Already I was impressed because many restaurants do not have that service anymore. We then were escorted to our table where our family were already seated. The two people helping us was a beautiful sweet girl named Theodora and gentlemen named Jera. Everyone in the party ordered off the restaurant week menu brunch specials which were three courses for about $60. I ordered my own options which were calamari as my appetizer and caramelized glazed French toast with fresh fruit! Every dish that came out was amazing! Typically I need red marinara sauce for my calamari but this had its own special sauce and touch. The chef at this restaurant is beyond talented and I was absolutely impressed! I am even thinking on booking the bigger dining space to renew my vows! The waitress and waiter I wanted to point out because they were impeccable and on top of everything! It hands down was one of my favorite restaurants in all of New York! Theodora and Jera were so professional and even had some side chat with us and took pictures for us. I wanted to mention one last thing to wrap up my review. There was younger gentleman that had a suit on I never got his name but he allowed us to take a few pictures in the bigger dining space area quickly and it was beyond curiosity and kind of him to do! I do not have enough words to explain how much I love this restaurant but one thing for sure is that I'll be back many more times and be spreading the word to all my friends and colleagues at the hospital I work at in the upper east side. Thank you again everyone for the impeccable hospitality and food! I was blown away!!!!!!!

I've passed this place a few times. I didn't know it was there. I did have the name on my list for a try though. We stopped in for NYC Restaurant week. We arrived on time but the table wasn't quite ready yet. So we were directed to the bar. Unfortunately, every bar seat was taken and we had to stand between the bar and other tables. That area didn't really have enough space for that. So we were constantly "in the way" but there was no place else to hang and wait for our table. Hopefully, this isn't a problem for your party next time.Anyways, I was part of a group of five (5) for their NYC Restaurant week. I recall that at least two of us ordered the Salmon. The sauce and potatoes it came with were really flavorful! With the salmon I recall strictly drinking white wine, so I can't comment on any of the cocktails, but they looked good. Service once we were at the table was also very attentive. All in all, it was a great first impression and I was glad to have dined there. Any detractions were for the available space between tables and between the table and bar.

Did not realize Jean Georges had this place up front but was pleasantly surprised. We grabbed a weekend lunch reservation and were seated soon after we arrived. Service through the meal was friendly. While there were a few miscommunications (e.g., wrong drink) and a delay with our dessert, our waiter did his best to make sure to remedy everything and we appreciated his efforts. The food itself was solid. We ordered the pastas and the salad and everything was good. I have to say whatever the sauce was on the shrimp which was part of the salad was exceptional. The vibes were as you'd expect from similar places. Lots of natural light and spacious seating - I liked the fact that the seats around us weren't so close. Also they have a place for the lady or whomever to put their personal belongings which was nice.

Visited Nougatine for winter restaurant week and had a lovely meal! Our server was so nice and the food was delicious. My favorite part was the sashimi appetizer. The flounder main dish was just okay to me, but the chocolate cake was great. I also loved how they had an open kitchen. The only downside to my experience was that the three hosts were unfriendly and had sour faces when we arrived. It definitely made me feel unwelcome so it was a rocky start. I would've expected better attitudes for hosts at a place like this.

Because I graduated from NYU in Social Work and my cousin graduated from Law School, our families took us out for lunch at Nougatine at Jean-Georges. I ordered a cheeseburger, the tuna tartare, and a virgin bloody mary. The tuna tartare was really good and had avocado and radish on top, the cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, and juicy, just like I asked, and the bloody mary wasn't bland and tasted good. It had the perfect amount of spice. The restaurant is beautiful. They wished my cousin a happy birthday and congratulated me on my graduation which was interesting because he also graduated so he had two celebrations. They might have just been confused, which is fine. I also asked for the crispy onions to be taken off my burger because I didn't like them. I was told that the crispy onion would be taken off, but they must have forgotten that too. I took them off myself and put them aside. I was happy with my experience and I thought that this restaurant was the perfect location to celebrate a birthday.

Besides JG, this is my all time favorite.Exceptional service as usual. Everyone works there are very professional day and night, even this is not a fine dinning restaurant, you feels you are in the Main JG when you want to casually stop by for a meal.I visited twice in a week last week, because i always know this place will never disappoint my guest who has never been here before.Food quality is always at JG grade! Each dish balance well with seasonal fruits and veggies, your taste bug will be extremely happy with anything here! Menu may look basic but the creativities of JG making each dish here become an Art.This is a never fail stable in the city!

I had a good overall experience at Nougatine. I would have normally rated this overall as 4 stars but I am adding one star back for the service. The service was really top notch and we found them to be extremely kind. It was one of those NYC days where something was up and we kept getting redirected all over the city by traffic cops and we were late for our reservation. We called them and informed them and they were very kind about it. It took us an extra 15 mins after I was dropped off for my husband to get to the parking garage 3 blocks away. They never rushed us. I am very grateful for their service. It was my husband's birthday and they ensured we had a good experience despite the traffic curveballs. In terms of the food, it started off very well. The bread they serve is warm and delicious. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The amuse bouche is very flavorful. It is a croquette served with truffle sauce. Perfect way to start the meal. For appetizers we got the kale salad and calamari. We really enjoyed both and can definitely recommend them. The main course is where things didn't go too well. I ordered the lobster burger. Maybe it was the wrong choice. It was a bit greasy and didn't deliver on the promise of the chili aioli. My husband got the Parmesan crusted chicken which he found to be a bit on the saltier side. Both were good, just not mind blowing. We were right back on track with the dessert. We got the butterscotch pudding. It was light and airy and not overly sweet. It is served with shortbread biscuits. We really enjoyed it. I got a little pot of chamomile tea with it. Whatever tea brand they are using is excellent. The ambiance was nice. It is far more casual than Jean Georges. It had a little bar area and small tables around. We were close to the windows so that was nice. I appreciate that they left a bottle of water on the table at all times.

The best breakfast I have ever had, just outstanding. The service was exceptional. All the food was brought out together and cleared promptly. The cappuccino was perfection. Loved the table salt with spoon to add to the dishes. I haven't stopped thinking about the French toast my daughter ordered, sooooo good. Must go here again with in NYC. The place was nice and quiet too
