I had such a fantastic time at Noreetuh!! I was initially introduced to Hawaiian food during my time in LA so I was really excited to check out Noreetuh with my Hawaiian friend. Started off with the tuna poke which featured super fresh tuna pieces marinated in a light soy-based sauce. Loved the macadamia nuts and seaweed cause they both added contrasting textures. As a mentaiko girlie, you know I had to get the mentaiko spaghetti and it definitely hit the spot! Appreciated how the spaghetti was al dente, and remained al dente throughout our meal. The creamy, mayo-y sauce had just a slight tanginess that balanced out the fish flavors that were prominent but not overpowering. Butterfish pieces were tender. Loved additional nori and scallions on top. Also got to try the mochiko chicken loco moco. The chicken reminded me of Taiwanese popcorn chicken with the slight shaoxing wine taste. It was all dark meat so you know it was juicy and chewy. Loved how the batter was light and crispy. The gravy was well-seasoned, although I wish there was a higher sauce to chicken/rice ratio. For desserts, I would strongly recommended the coconut passionfruit sundae! It featured ube paste with both coconut and passionfruit ice cream, along with mochi, nuts, and granola. Make sure to give it a good mix to not only balance out the sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, but also texturally juxapose the soft, chewy, and crunchy components. Upon hearing that my friend was from the islands, Chef Chong actually came out to meet her! I thought that was such a sweet gesture and attests to the Hawaiian friendliness that I admire. Our server was also really nice/attentive. In addition to beach/island decor, the walls are filled with polaroids of customers. If you're interested, you can ask them for a picture either to pin on the walls or to bring home! I look forward to coming back to try their other dishes and musubi snacks!

Stopped by for restaurant week with a couple friends! We opted for the prefix menu and wine pairings. Everything was great! I chose tuna poke as my starter and it was super fresh! The fried chicken on the loco moco was the star of that dish and I really enjoyed the noodle shape paired with the bolognese. The whole table raved about the bruleed pineapple for dessert! Service was great and the ambiance is very intimate. Definitely ask them to take a Polaroid of your group for their wall!

First of all, a lot of the points go to the service b/c our server was so fun to talk to!! She remembered all of our names and was very attentive throughout the night. She gave an amazing wine recommendation as well, especially for someone who doesn't really drink wine!! She helped us kick off our girl's night out with some free tequila shots, which she took with us (:Food is really yummy here and we enjoyed everything we ate.The space is a little tight and crowded but it's still a good vibe!

We came here for my friend's birthday and we were greeted with amazing staff. The staff prepared us with a special birthday menu. There was also champagne prepared as a starter. We got the spam and cheese musubi and the tuna musubi. They were cut into bit sizes pieces, great for sharing. The loco moco was super flavorful and delicious. The sauce went really well with the fried chicken and the mac n cheese. The staff also takes a polaroid photo of the birthday guest for there wall of fame. Overall, the restaurant provided a great experience and the staff was super friendly.

This place was such a gem! I booked this place for lunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the garlic shrimp bowl and it was easily my favorite lunch in NYC!!! It was SO delicious - it tasted fresh and satiating and the Mac salad with rice and shrimp + pineapple was such a magical combination. We ordered the salmon misube and it didn't disappoint as an app and but imo overpriced for how tiny it was. I got the chocolate haupia Sunday as dessert and it was a great way to end the meal. Service was great and fast! Perfect place for catching up with an old friend. I definitely would return to this place 11/10

I happened to discover Noreetuh while exploring the East Village, and I'm so glad I did! This hidden gem offers an impressive selection of musubi, and each bite was packed with flavor. The Spicy Spam musubi, topped with pickled jalapeño and a creamy soy mayo, stood out as my absolute favorite--it had the perfect balance of heat, richness, and umami. The restaurant itself has a welcoming and laid-back vibe, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal with friends. Whether you're a fan of Hawaiian cuisine or just looking to try something new, Noreetuh is definitely worth a visit!

I was so excited to come here because I've never been to a restaurant that specialized in Hawaiian food before. My friend and I were seated outside - great people watching. We ordered:- spicy spam Musubi: this is cut in 4 pieces - yellowtail Musubi: this was soooo good and is also cut into 4 pieces - Chinese bacon fried rice: right amount of moisture and a good portion - chicken loco moco: I really liked this. It came with an egg and was served over rice and macaroni. The restaurant inside is tiny, but looked like a vibe. I would definitely come back.

I feel like this is a place to go to for the vibes and birthdays, rather than for the food. The food was good 3/5 - exactly what I expected but not my favorite. I absolutely loved the vibe though. The walls are covered in pics and the servers are nice. I was disappointed that the servers took a polaroid of every table except ours.

*** 3.5 stars ***This review is only for the spam musubi. On the hunt for the best spam musubi in NYC, I decided to spend $20 getting an order of the spam musubi spicy + spam musubi regular delivered to my house. Pricey, but if it was the best it would be worth it (note that $8 of that cost was delivery, but even so, for the portion size, $6 for 3 pieces is pricey).I found both to be a bit too salty and the spicy really didn't do it for me - it took away from the taste of the spam musubi itself. The regular was good - not the best, and not the worst, but as I mentioned, pricey for what you get. Will continue on my hunt!
