New Era Restaurant & Lounge

Let me just say ONE thing!!! The Oxtail Rasta Pasta - better than footprints ! After asking a friend about any new spots that have Rasta pasta I was referred to this place ! There were a few concerns, however the taste of the food allowed me to leave the four stars ! This restaurant has the term lounge included in the title however upon entry bright lights and it looks like a take-out only type of establishment.It does have the potential to set an ambiance a potential bar area and even room to fit a few two seater tables and a DJ! I'll be back for sure to get some Rasta Pasta , hopefully they'll add some Beef Patties to the menu though!

Well for one, when I first saw their name came up on the yep thing. I was looking at how much it will cost. If it was around my budget and so on . And, it should four money $. I said , to oh heck no. That's too pricey for me. Fast forward 6 minutes later. I'm back in town, And one of my aunties bring in a a two bag of, yardy food. ( Jamaican food ) And I must say, it was quite tasty. In other term yummy yummy. I was around five people that ate the whole plate up to the last grind of rice. LoL I asked my auntie, where did she buy the the food from. She said, New Era. I said, uh huh... I have to give this place a visit later this week. When I look on Gap in Google for this place I said. Wow, I would have never go there because it look like they had a four money $'s and it look similar empty from outside. What's that said, looks are deceiving. For anyone else reading this. Give this place a chance. There food are on point. Actually they could be better than THEM other Jamaican restaurants in the area. If not one of them. Now if they could update there menu that would be good. Also maybe they could update minor things in the store itself. But anyway , I'm going to head there later this week. I want to try there salmon pasta. Among other things as well. Mmmmm ... LoL

ordered on ubereats, got oxtail meal & mac with shrimp rasta pasta. the rasta pasta taste better than footprints & you get alot of food not much shrimp overall i'll eat here again.

Delicious!!!!! I got the jerk chicken Rasta pasta and macaroni pie BOTH DELICIOUS (don't ask me why I got two pastas ) DEF WILL BE ORDERING AGAIN - I added ketchup lol

I've Walked Pass This Place a Million Times. Yesterday I Walked Pass and Decided Today I Would Get Some Food.So, Today I Went with My Son and His Girlfriend. Im Very Apprehensive About New Places but Something Told Me Go In. I Ordered a Large Oxtail Dinner. The Lady Serving Me Was Handling Everything By Herself. Most Times Staff Will Be Frustrated with That Situation. She Was Very Sweet and Apologized for the Wait. I Didn't Eat the Food Yet but Just with Her Attitude I Already Set My Mind, That I Would Come Back.By the Time I Got Home I Was Feeling Sick. My Husband Ended Up Eating the Food. He Said It Was Really Good! It Was Seasoned Perfectly. I'm Kinda Pissed I Couldn't Eat the Food but He's Very Picky. So, If He Really Likes Something. It Has To Be Good. I'm Def Going Back to Get Myself A Plate :-)SN: I Gave It 4 Instead of 5 Because I Didn't Get to Eat the Food but My Husband Loved It..

Love the rice and peas. I usually need gravy whenever I eat rice but its really flavorful and delicious. Never a long wait, the staff is friendly.Prices are good, and portions are good. And I have yet to encounter that "mi nuh hav dat"They always have it lol. Try the Snapper and Porgy meals also, wont regret it.

I had a craving for some Rasta Pasta this evening and stopped in.I waited about 10 mins for the order to be prepared. Needless to say, they have gained a customer-- the food is amazing and the portion is more than enough. Very happy I stopped in.

Today was the first day that I ordered fr this restaurant and I'm so glad I did. First I ordered my meal on uber eats and a minute later I received a call from the restaurant verifying my order . I was surprised and truly appreciative that the people in the restaurant cared enough to call me and make sure they gave me the right order . The food took about 20-25 minutes to arrive and when it did the food was still hot. The food was so good and SUPER FRESH! The meal tasted like it was cooked right before it was delivered . I can honestly say that I'm really happy that I ordered food from this restaurant and I will order from this restaurant again.

Came here as a friend referred me to Chef Dave. I ordered a brown stew fish meal- and it was definitely delicious! And they were so welcoming! Definitely gonna be back whenever I'm in the area. Thank you Chef Dave
