Nemesis is a perfect spot for GNO, date night, or a small intimate hangout. My bestie & I came here to celebrate my birthday, and I loved everything we ordered! We came on a Tuesday night around 6pm & it was pretty empty at first, but filled up quickly throughout the hour. Highly recommend making reservations for busier times and weekends. We just made the happy hour times which I was ecstatic about - can't say no to $12 drinks! The lychee margarita was fruity & well balanced, but I didn't try the Thai & Cozy (not a huge chai fan). Between the both of us, we decided on the crying tiger steak, mie goreng, and the tom yum fried rice. The portions here are generous - I'd say our 3 dishes could've easily been split amongst 3 people. We had plenty of leftovers! The crying tiger steak was really tasty and overall cooked perfectly, though there were a few pieces that were a little chewy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much steak there was for 10 oz. We were a bit on the fence initially about ordering the mie goreng, thinking it'd just be like a regular chow mein. I'm glad we did though because I actually really liked it! It comes with a bit of a kick, and the noodles are seasoned really well. Tom yum fried rice was also an interesting dish for me - the tom yum flavors weren't overwhelming, but you could definitely taste it. I'm a sucker for bone marrow, so I loved that it came with the fried rice. It adds just the extra bit of fatty goodness that the rice needed. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Our waters were never empty, and food came out pretty quickly. Overall - would recommend, and already looking forward to coming back to try other dishes!

The dishes ranged from "great" to "spectacular". Of note, the pork belly small plate, the Mee ko rang (even asking for it less spicy it's got some kick), and the string beans with minced pork are amazing dishes. For dessert my friends preferred the flan over the pistachio cheesecake but I enjoyed the latter just a little more. Service was great - water refilled, plates cleared, frequent stops to ask if we needed anything. Supposedly this is actually known more as a cocktail place, and to confirm that the drinks menu is significantly bigger than the food menu. Their cocktails are original. By the descriptions, I thought they'd all be too sweet, but everyone loved what they ordered. The warm cocktail (Tea and ... something) was quite good for a cold evening. And the space is lovely. We got a table in the front but the restaurant goes pretty far back. For a midweek evening, it wasn't crowded but wasn't empty either. A great place and a reminder of why New York is so fantastic.

I forget when I added this to my bookmark or how i even stumbled upon this place but it had a lot of last minute available reservations for a party of 5. Last minute as in 48-72 hrs notice. The place was elegantly decorated. The service was friendly and attentive. We loved the ribbed corn. The chicken satay was interesting as they were grilled chicken meatballs and not just grilled pieces of chicken. We shared the crab fried rice, the char Kway teow and the Indonesian mia goreng. They were all done very well. You can't go wrong. We also got the tiger steak which I didn't particularly like. It was an interesting cut of steak. I Would recommend for apps and entrees given the space, the many food options and cocktail options.

The physical menu had prawn lumpia, but the online menu only had crab lumpia. I told the server prawn lumpia, but when it was brought out they announced it as crab lumpia. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this dish. It was really oily with very little filling. The filling itself was black pepper carrots, no crab or prawn in sight. The sauce carried this dish. I spent a lot of time picking apart the crust so I wouldn't consume an alarming amount of oil. I ordered no sugar Thai ice tea and they told me no sugar wasn't possible, just less sugar. To my surprise, it wasn't sweet at all! It came with some grass jelly. The mie goreng was good, but nothing to write home about. Bell peppers forward flavors and spicy. The crying steak was good, the sauce elevated the dish for me. This was the best dish of the night.Lastly, we ordered the pandan flan and it was burning my throat. I couldn't identify what was causing that. The pandan flavor was very faint and I only really tasted dry coconut flakes (even after scraping it off). This was $18, not worth it.The restaurant is beautiful and large. Service was kind of hard to track down, but I didn't mind.Overall, I wouldn't revisit or recommend. I'm not sure if we ordered the wrong dishes, but it didn't live up to the hype of other reviews for me. It was also overpriced.

Nemesis in Flatiron is such a vibe. The ambiance is super cozy--perfect for a dinner with friends, a date night, or even just going solo. It feels intimate but not too serious, which I loved. The cocktails were amazing, and they really nailed the creativity. The Movie Star cocktail was such a cool twist--a rich espresso martini with sweet foam and actual popcorn on top. So unique! But the Thai iced tea with grass jelly? Hands down my favorite. It was just perfection. The food was insane. The volcano ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good, and the soup in the dish was ridiculously delicious. The bone marrow was easily my favorite--so rich and flavorful. And the Tom Yum fried rice? Super unique and packed with flavor. Honestly, every single dish felt special, and the plating was next level. On top of all that, the service was incredible--super friendly and attentive without being over the top. Nemesis has officially become one of my favorite spots in the city. Can't wait to go back!

Led by the team behind Antidote, Nemesis is a trendy upscale restaurant weaving Southeast Asian culinary styles. It spotlights traditional dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia with a modern twist. Their food and drinks were so delicious that I wanted to give a star to everything I got. Attentive service and sophisticated atmosphere. This could be a great choice to bring a friend visiting NYC to enjoy a multicultural dining experience. *Grilled Iberico Pork Belly $23 *The pork belly was flame-grilled and well-marinated. Every bite was juicy and bursting with a savory, tangy flavors. The edges were slightly charred which gave some smoky aroma. It had a good meat-to-fat ratio so it wasn't greasy at all. *Heritage Chicken Satay $16We were pleasantly surprised to see chicken satay in meatball shape. It was so flavorful with the peanut butter satay sauce. The cucumber, red onion and cherry tomato made it more refreshing as a starter. *Crying Angus Steak $39 ***We were so OBSESSED with this crying angus steak!! The angus ribeye were marinated in thai sauce and chimichurri. Each piece were cooked perfectly to medium rare and thinly sliced. 10oz was A LOT and my Asian instinct told me it would be great with jasmine rice. The mixed roasted fingerling potatoes and sweet tomatoes on the side were aromatic and very enjoyable. *Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice $35 *We got their most viral bone marrow tom yum fried rice. The bone marrow was melt-in-your-mouth fatty. It was 100% insta-worthy though the bone marrow didn't really add much flavor to the dish. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection and the prawns were very bouncy. Wish it could be a tad spicier. *Lychee V $10 **Sky High $19Worth to mention they have an impressive selection of cocktail and wine menu. The aesthetics and Asian-inspired flavors are spot-on. Sky High waz a picture-perfect cocktail with cotton candy, with a base of rum, pineapple, lychee, lemon and four season tea. It didn't taste too alcoholic so it was right up my lane. While Lychee V was a mocktail with lychee, oolong tea, jasmine tea syrup, yuzu, lime and tonic. Loved the tea flavors and it wasn't too sweet.

The spacing between the tables are a bit on the cramp side but the ambiance and decor are still upscale. The service is amazing 5/5 literally the best servers I have had the pleasure to meet. Despite how busy they were they made sure to be attentive and really kind. So far the best service I have ever had.Now the food.Bone marrow: 4/5 this super viral dish was great. It had a nice spice to it but the flavors of the bone marrow were a bit lost. Still delicious.Salted Egg Yolk Soft Shell Crab: 4/5 Absolutely delicious! The curry was amazing and the crab cooked to perfection. The only thing is this didn't come with rice which it absolutely needs and the reason it's a 4/5 is because I didn't taste any of the salted egg yolk part. That flavor was absolutely lost. If they didn't mention the salted egg yolk I wouldn't have noticed. A suggestion would be to have them shaved some salted egg yolk on top.Lamb Shank Kareen Curry; 5/5 fall off the bone cooked to perfection meat. This was delicious and the flavors were on point. 100% must get!Coffee Ice cream:5/5 great wait to cool off from from the delicious , spicy, and savory meal.Flan: 5/5 out of the this world. One of the most flavorful and creamiest flan I have had.Lychee Mocktail: 5/5 delicious and refreshing!Overall amazing restaurant that you can't go wrong with any of the dishes!

This restaurant is very cute. Loved the decor. The cocktail menu was extensive. A good amount of unique cocktails. The menu also scales the cocktails on potency, sweetness and sourness which I thought was great. Easier to find a cocktail that suited you. There were so many yummy looking choices on the food menu as well. I went with the Mie Goreng which was so good. Had a nice spicy kick to it too. Service was friendly. Enjoyed everything about the experience here.

I visited Nemesis on a Tuesday evening with a friend and had a great experience overall. The restaurant has a relaxed and chic vibe, and the decor is clean and modern. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated.Unfortunately, two menu items--the morning glory and Padang short ribs--were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing since we were excited to try the morning glory. But we went with the lychee mocktail, grilled whole branzino, charred octopus, and spiced corn ribs. The food was excellent. The spiced corn ribs were sweet and savory, the charred octopus was tender and paired perfectly with its sauce, and the branzino stole the show. The crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth fish were amazing, though you do need to watch out for bones. The lychee mocktail was refreshing and a great non-alcoholic option.Every dish was beautifully presented, and the service was attentive. I'd definitely come back to try more!
