Good vibes, good music, good food, and good staff. Will pretty much visit this spot every time in Brooklyn. Everything from the sampler platter, spring rolls, ox tails, and more are super on point. Great energy with music and a neighborhood bar vibe. This is a must try.

The food was amazing honestly, I busted down my entire plate. It was a Saturday when I went a RSVP is definitely required for a great seat. However as a walk in, I well accommodated. As far as the ambiance is I'm honest the back of the restaurant is more of a warm ambiance than the front. That's why a reservation would be beneficial.Staff wasn't that attentive because it was busy as fuck, however we did get our food and drinks on time.

Negril BK was not the plan for this particular Saturday night dinner. However, sometimes life requires you be flexible and adapt, allowing the plans to blowup and fall where they will.Just so happens that ours fell @ the doorstep of Negril BK w/o a reservation and it was the best mishap that anyone could've asked for. The restaurant itself is a vibe. I'm not talking about this new era grass wall, photo op, overpriced brunch setup that TikTok tries to convince you is a must. Negril BK is actually truly a vibe... IYKYK! We were promptly seated and tried our best not to allow the amazing tunes force us to our feet. Our lovely server Tanzania was gracious, attentive, quick and lowkey intuitive at times.The drinks of the night were the Buffalo Solider and Frozen Rum Punch. Both were good but I'm gonna say for me my Buffalo Solider was the front runner. We started with Island Steam Mussels and Guava Jerk wings. Both were good and didn't stand a chance. My only complaint is that they are doing their customers a true disservice by serving the mussels with only 1piece of toast because the scotch bonnet tomato coconut broth should never be left behind. For our main entrées we ordered Escovitch Red Snapper w/ pumpkin rice, Tropical Seafood Stew, and SD Lobster Mac & Cheese. Everything was wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I really enjoyed the lobster mac & cheese. Mainly because I have. often been disappointed with it other places, but that was not the case here. We throughly enjoyed all aspects of this dining experience. From the welcome without reservations, to the prompt seating, wonderful service and of course the food and the music was the culmination a of a wonderful night that technically was not ment to be. Just A Note:In the end All will work itself out... and as result we will be putting Negril BK in rotation.

Went to Negril BK for Mothers day 2023. We selected the first available time slot for 12:30pm as our reservation time. They weren't open as of yet so everyone who also had that reservation time had to wait outside for 10-15 additional minutes. Once inside the ambiance was really nice. They decorated the tables in honor of Mothers day. They didn't have enough servers that day and we had to wait a unusually long time for our drinks and then to order our food. We were understanding because they were taking on so many customers at once. The food was okay; we ordered the shrimp and fish dishes. The portion sizes were large enough to take food to go and was worth the price. Ive been to this location at other times and there is live music and the food was better.If you are looking for a good ambiance and okay Caribbean food, this is a good spot to go to in bk.

Such a cute restaurant decor is definitely a 10 ! The food was very tasty and the portions were reasonable for the price. We had the sampler platter the ox tails were my fav. We didn't have reservations and went in the afternoon on a Saturday and we were able to be seated right away. I wouldn't probably make reservations if I was going in the evening. The service was great I will definitely be back!

I'd been avoiding this place for a while. I've gone to the Manhattan location a few times and the pricing just didn't seem worth it to me.This location is pretty big and busy. Went for lunch on a Sunday and the place was hopping. Expect to yell at your companions in conversation. The service was SLOW but the attitude was sweet so can't get too upset about that.The food here is top tier. Do yourself a favor and order the Tamarind wings

Shout out to Negril for staying open for us . I just left the ER and was starved and literally willing to eat anything that was opened and so when we called Negril and they said we can wait 20 mins for you - we were elated . I thought I would be coming to on an empty night but to our surprise it wasnt . Dj spinning, ppl at the bar had drinks flowing . The restaurant is still as I remembered it . The cocktails exceeded our expectations, but the most memorable aspect of our visit was that we waited for OVER an hour to be seated with a reservation. Why? We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the celebrant picked the place. After 70 minutes passed, the host offered the three of us a shot "on the house" and explained that most diners were finished eating, but were hanging out at the table after paying for their bill. (SN:It appeared as if the wait was much shorter if you knew the host.)Another item worth noting is that gratuity was automatically added for a party of three. Our waiter, Rob said they started to do it after COVID. Meanwhile, at the bar, we ordered jerk wings only (no drinks) and were given "the option" to add gratuity. Interesting right? FOODWe ordered jerk salmon, jerk chicken, a Caesar salad, D' roundabout (sampler plate for 2) and the Trini brown stew chicken. The jerk items are unlike island jerk. It's sauce poured over the item If you are looking for jerk seasoned items, do not order this. Moving on, we were surprised that the Trini brown stew chicken was sweet and not savory. Another item we wouldn't order again. D'roundabout was the better entree (taste and pricing) but it is for two people. The oxtails and curry goat were delicious. It's also well priced at $55. BEVERAGESSoursop rum punch - just say no. It's not what you'd expect. Frozen rum punch - highly recommend. Serves two people. Thursday through Sunday only. $27 Tropical rum punch - highly recommend. $16 The AMBIANCE is definitely the main draw and likely the reason this place keeps a crowd. The DJ played the best island tunes at just the right volume for patrons to sway while waiting, when eating and while hanging out at their tables long after their bill is paid.
