We were able to secure a reservation (for a deposit) for a Tuesday at 5pm. It was their last available reservation for that day so I suppose we got lucky! The restaurant specializes in hand rolls that cost anywhere from $7-15 each. However, if you get one of their pre-selected sets (5 rolls), each roll comes out cheaper. But do keep in mind that you probably won't enjoy EVERY roll in the mix, but hopefully there will be some that are especially to your liking. I got the cheapest set which came with an assortment of Tina, salmon, and a California roll. I liked maybe 3/5 rolls, with the worst being the California roll. If I were to come again, I'd suggest ordering 4 rolls that you know you will enjoy rather than trying to save money with 5 rolls that are only suboptimal. The interior was cute and zen, bathroom was gorgeous.Honestly, I expected the food to taste better considering this is a Michelin restaurant. Not sure if I would recommend to tourists visiting the city, but a good experience overall. Ooh our favorite dish was actually the tempura appetizer! Would highly recommend

3.5 stars for meI got the signature set of 5 handrolls and honestly left the restaurant still pretty hungry as it was basically only 4 fish rolls + a cucumber one. Was a cute spread and tasted good but I feel like you can get better value elsewhere -- for comparison, you can get 6 hand rolls of all fish at Kazunori for about the same price

Great place to get hand rolls in New York. After it was all said and done, I was a little bit underwhelmed with the food. The flavors weren't as authentic as I would have liked, and the quality of the rolls could have been better in my opinion. One thing I would say is the service was good as they couldn't get a table for our reservation so they offered drinks and an appetizer. My favorite roll actually happens to be the avocado roll. I wasn't a huge fan of the lobster or crab roll. Maybe I'll come back and give it another try.

When looking at places to try in NYC, this place came up multiple times. Started off with some tempura that had a nice light batter and tasty aioli. Famous for their hand rolls, we tried their signature set with a couple other rolls we picked out. We got to sit at the counter where they make each hand roll for you fresh as you eat, keeping your seaweed nice and crispy. They have a couple of your classic combos and some unique ones - all were great. Our favorite hand rolls were the XO Scallop, Toro Scallion and Coconut Shrimp. Service was nice and quick. I see why they are so busy!

Had a great time coming here for my partners birthday! We both got the temaki sets since they appeared to be the best deal. I got the vegan set and found it to be very tasty. The food is pricy but good! I love that everything is gluten free by default. Perfect for me, someone who was just diagnosed with celiac disease!

I love a good handroll spot and this place hit it out of the park. It's a great spot for a casual date or catch up with friends. I stopped by for lunch and selected my own five temaki with a couple appetizers. All in all, everything was so good and delicious. Must gets are the top neck clams and maitake truffle.I still dream of that clam dish - there were six large pieces of clams on top of a fennel daikon salad. The cilantro gremolata was chef's kiss! I really hope that they keep this item on their menu forever.

Great place! I really enjoyed my dinner with friends here. We tried the vegan hand roll set, as well as the truffle mushroom hand roll, mushroom dip, and furikake fries. The whole meal was good, had fresh ingredients, and felt unique. I'd definitely come back. My friends who ordered meat hand rolls were pleased with their selections as well! The vibe inside is quite cute and they also have some outdoor seating. Would recommend getting a reservation as this place seems very popular.I was a bit disappointed with our table as our light went out and our waiter was not the most welcoming to clarifications regarding plant based options. Often, they would just double check with the kitchen or chef when unsure but I didn't quite appreciate how my friend was brushed off for her question.

Nami Nori is a minimalistic, oceanic powerhouse that approaches the sushi handroll experience with a contemporary twist. The ambiance is very modern and inviting, and the decor is so cute. I ordered the signature set and my friend ordered the starter set. The signature set had a very unique lineup: the tuna poke, xo scallop, coconut shrimp, salmon serrano, and cucumber black sesame roll. The combination was interesting, and I wish I had gotten the classic starter set which consists of the California, tuna avocado, yellowtail scallion, salmon and cucumber, and spicy tuna roll. The black sesame roll was a foreign delicacy to me, and it threw the whole lineup off as being the last item; it didn't seal the final touches of the tasting experience. The star of the show was the scallop as it was incredibly fresh and soft. Nami Nori is a must-try when visiting NYC.

Called in for a day-of dinner reservation for 5 (like 1 hour before oops), and were able to be seated outside. Very fresh ingredients presented in a very aesthetic way. Their attention to detail (handroll racks, paper directions for eating, overall decorations) created an atmosphere that felt clean and warm. We started with the furikake fries to share, as our five orders of the signature temaki set ($32) were being prepared. Fries were pretty standard, but good to pick at. The Temaki set came with tuna poke, x.o. scallop, salmon serrano, coconut shrimp, and cucumber black sesame. The four seafood handrolls were familiar sushi combinations elevated with pops of acid or spice, each prepared with a meticulous combination of complementary flavors. I enjoyed the scallop the most, as the scallop itself was very fresh and plump.I was extremely surprised by the cucumber black sesame roll - although vegan, the sauce drizzled on top stole the show. It was reminiscent of duck sauce, sans preservatives and the cloying sweetness I am used to. Need that sauce on everything ASAP.Overall, a cute spot that knows how to plate food with fresh ingredients to match.
