The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the ambience was perfect for this particular birthday dinner I was taking my wife and four-year-old daughter to. Cozy inside with an intimate feel. Very attentive staff whom were very helpful when it came to selecting sake. The manager even offered us a flight of three sake choices we were thinking of, that was very kind of him. I also found it nice how it seemed like our time was his pleasure as he was speaking with us, unlike so many other experiences elsewhere that might seem rushed, maybe by the body language, not necessarily by the speech. The food was great and my 4 yr old actually ate sushi. That was a joy. Since it was a birthday, they gave us desserts on the house!Overall Great experience and I would recommend.

Still love the temaki here. Also a great deal here. The appetizers are ok, not my fav. Would save the appetite for an extra temaki. The sake selection seems good. A carafe for two is actual just the right amount. Service remains good so no complaint. The ambience is really good. Often, bright places are not as appealing and romantic. No problem here.Food highlightsClams - ok but not great fresh sea taste. A bit blendTempura - interesting take and would satisfy craving but prefer the traditional tempuraScallion toro - always a great choice, nice and simplexO scallops - my fav , definitely one to ge

I came here the other night on a date and was able to make a reservation pretty easily. The space itself was bright and airy, with tables as well as seats at the chefs counter. Our server was great, and helped to walk us through the menu. The drink and food menu was great, with lots of options. For food, I ordered the shishito peppers to start, and it was a large enough order to share. We each ordered the temaki (5 pieces each) and while they look small, they will fill you up. Between the both of us, we ordered the coconut shrimp, the spicy lobster, sweet potato tempura, the everything smoked salmon, the cucumber black sesame and the avocado toast. They were all delicious, though our favorites were the spicy lobster and I loved the sweet potato tempura. I would definitely come back here again!

Fun special occasion spot. Sat at the bartop so our rolls were made and served one by one instead of all at once which was cool. The signature set was very good. The standouts for me were the lemon flavor on the scallop roll and the sauce on the cucumber roll. We also started with the mushroom dip which was interesting and delicious. They also have a nice selection of beer, wine, and sake as well. Finally, service was great!

I came to Nami Nori for my friend's birthday and I loved it. The ambience is great and the food is even better. We got a couple of appetizers, the furifake fries and tuna crudo, to share and they were both so good. The tuna crudo was so flavorful and the fries were cooked to perfection with the right amount of crisp and flavor. For the temaki, I personally got the signature set which came with 5 preselected. They were all pretty different but I enjoyed them all. I didn't love that I had to peel out a plastic wrapper though. Then at the end, we got some churros which were some of the best I've had. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is probably because it is a bit pricy for the amount of food. I think most of the people at my party left a bit hungry afterwards but otherwise I will definitely come back here again in the future.

Traveling solo for work in Brooklyn - this was my favorite meal. Probably one of my most recent favorite meals I've had in a while. Got an easy reservation for one on a Saturday night. The place was busy and the ambiance was a vibe. I sat at one of the sushi bars and ordered the Shelby's Choice. In order of most favorite1. Xo Scallop - tobiko, lemon This was my favorite bite. I ordered it twice. So fresh, sweet, salty, umami! 2. Fried Oyster - perfect crispiness, pickled onions, more refreshing than you'd think with a fried oyster!3. Toro + Scallion - just can't go wrong with Toro, ever!4. Aka ebi - fresh and delicious. Perfect amount of sauce. 5. Eggplant - really good, but was craving the sushi route all night. Would love to eat here every week if I could!

I usually get takeout, but I finally had the chance to sit down and try the hand rolls. We started with the seasonal sake flight, which paired perfectly with the hand rolls. For small plates, we had the corn ribs, which were well-seasoned, and the spicy tuna dip--it was absolutely amazing. The hand rolls were incredibly fresh. We ordered the toro scallion, spicy crab dynamite, XO scallop, coconut shrimp, salmon serrano, and aka ebi.I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the spicy lobster hand roll or the tempura misto available. :(For dessert, the Mochurros were fantastic--such an innovative combo of mochi and churros! I wasn't a fan of the lemon curd that came with it, but the Mochurros were great on their own.

My friend's family, including his mom visiting from Boston, joined us at Nami Nori last weekend. Nami Nori in Williamsburg, NYC, is a fantastic casual Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls. The quality, presentation, and taste were absolutely top-notch--we'd give this spot a 10/10. While it's a bit pricy, it's totally worth it for a special occasion. Reservations are recommended.

We ordered the starter and signature set here. Very fresh and each roll has distinct flavor. The restaurant looks cozy and chic, our server took good care of us. Would come back for the temaki and a plus is everything in the restaurant is gluten free. Apparently this restaurant is a chain with different location in NYC, I will try to come to other locations to see if they have the same quality.
