Chilly in Chinatown? Come here for a fast warm-up with Pho. The service is quick so your stomach will soon be satiated and your fingers thawed! Cheaper if you pay cash (they do not have an ATM).There is a Chase bank on the corner of Grand and Broadway.

A foreshadowing of what is to come next year? Stay tuned!Of course I had to try this Vietnamese restaurant just outside of Little Italy, off of Grand Street. The restaurant is fairly quiet, but there is ample seating and the service is quick. If you pay in cash it is cheaper than if you use a card. I hate that. This is a quick cash grab because this business likely does not want to pay the credit card fee and is looking for a cash grab.I tried two of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, the Pho and the Bun Cha Ha Noi.The Pho here is decent, but they cannot alter it in any way. I do not like tripe in anything. It is nasty and has a gelatinous feel that unappealing to my stomach. Once you learn what it is, you will too. Let me just say keep the insides where they belong, on the inside. Otherwise, the Pho comes with plenty of noodles, plentiful meat, and the broth is good. It is a good representation of South Vietnamese Pho. Note to reader: I spent a few years living in a predominantly Vietnamese neighborhood, so I understand the differences between North and South Vietnamese cuisine. The Bun Cha lacks. The pork is dry (claggy I might add). I like a good pork patty, and this one was just meh. There is plenty of Vermicelli rice noodles, which I like, but the problem is the pork does not mesh well with it. This should normally be a fun dish to eat, and instead I found it quite tedious. I should not have to work for my meal, but I feel I had to do so with this dish. I also found the staff quite aloof. Throwing cutlery in my direction, being condescending towards me when I was asking for small cups for dipping, I am not asking for much. Nothing drives me more crazy than when I am judged for eating something that is not native to me. Let me do me. The fact I am giving you business should be more than enough. I feel I have said that more than once here on Yelp. The food is pricey and did not feel deserving of a positive review, instead the review gets a mixed review based on decent Pho but lacking in every other category.I hope that is not a harbinger of what is to come later next year.

Service: GoodQuantity: GoodCleanliness: FairPrice: #1 $14.94 (cash) vs $15.47 (card)A good friend highly recommended this spot, calling it a go-to for his Vietnamese friends. I was surprised I hadn't discovered it sooner, considering how often I frequent Chinatown! On this chilly day, I decided to visit and ordered my favorite dish, the #1 Xe Lua--an extra large bowl featuring eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon. When my order arrived, I was immediately impressed by the generous portion and the beautifully arranged meat on top. The first sip of broth had me hooked--it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. The noodles were equally delicious, and yes, I managed to finish the entire extra-large bowl! This restaurant boasts an extensive menu, and I can't wait to return and explore more dishes. If you plan to visit, I'd recommend using cash to save a little. Vegetarian diners will also appreciate the variety of plant-based options available.A hidden gem worth revisiting!

Food (5/5): We ordered the pho and then an iced dessert. Both was super good! The pho was well flavored and the dessert was balanced in terms of sweetness.Service (4/5): No issues with th service and food came out super fast.Ambiance (5/5): Nice spacious interior that is nicely lit and has good painting and some ceiling decorations in the back. I liked how they didn't cram the tables too much.

I guess this was decent Vietnamese food. They had bo la lot, which is rare in nyc to find. This would be a below average restaurant in Orange County. Which means it's an above average in nyc.

I got the pho with brisket and eye of round. I saw they use lemon instead of lime, which is a bit of a bummer as i hear lime is more authentic. The pho was okay. Nothing special. Decent amount of meat. Not very good service. No refill of water, wouldn't let us split the check, increased price for credit cards, then guilted me for not giving a higher tip? Wouldn't go again

3.5 stars. It's been a while since I last ate here! Quality is pretty consistent, service was no frills though cordial. Our party of 3 arrived at 9pm and they close at 9:30pm so they still seated us but asked us to order immediately which we did in a bout 5 minutes after being seated. Total seating in the restaurant probably fits about 50-60 people. They have a pretty extensive menu with many options for pho, bun (rice vermicelli), noodles, soups, appetizers, seafood, meat (beef/pork), poultry, vegetables, rice dishes. It's decently clean for an old school Vietnamese restaurant (floors weren't greasy!) and service was fast. We ordered #3 Pho Dac Biet - eye of round, brisket, tripe, tendon ($13.95) and two of the same bun bowls of #54 Bun Cha Gio Thjt Nuong - bun with grilled pork and spring rolls ($15.50). Pho came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The bun bowls came out about 7-8 min after that, and though it was close to 9:30, the staff passed us the check at 9:25, but was kind enough to wait for us to finish up quickly and leave. There's a cash price and credit card price listed on the menu for each item, equaling about 3.5% extra if paying by card. For small businesses I get it, with rising inflation that's a significant $ to gift to credit card companies. And man, gone are the days of $8.50 for a bowl of pho! The food itself was fresh and tasty, each bowl of bun we ordered came with several pieces of grilled pork which was well marinated though maybe a wee bit salty. The spring rolls were crispy and filled with pork and veggies. Pho broth was a little light but overall ok, though they gave what looked like a slightly sad amount of bean sprouts. It's been years since I last had their shareable family style dishes, so can't really comment on those now. Overall solid enough to come back when in the mood for Vietnamese food in this area.

Came here after run club with a very large group (maybe 18-20, i don't remember) on a monday night. They were super accommodating for a large group with no reservations. The food wasn't great. I got the bahn mi & i've had better before. It was a little dry, but it's better than the vegetarian pho. Most people in the group didn't really like their food. It wasn't horrible, but not anything to rave about. I would only recommend this place if you're with a big hungry group.

It's the go-to Vietnamese place and conveniently close to the Grand Street subway. It used to be great. Now it's just average. $16 for the #1. I would not get the banh mi. 4 stars for the convenience and quick service.
