Nothing fancy, just a very good meal and solid service for Christmas dinner. What nice surprise! We weren't expecting much for Christmas dinner in Manhattan at 6pm. The sidewalks on every street in every direction were elbow to elbow and bumper to bumper if you know what I mean. I decided to try and get a reservation for 4 anywhere that would take us for Christmas. Luckily I was able to book one at Mr Sun through Yelp of all things. I had already excepted that it was going to be stressful and a toss up on the whole meal.I couldn't have been more wrong. After battling our way to the door we entered to find a simple establishment filled with diners and a hustling staff. We were greeted and sat immediately. From there on the service, food delivery, food quality, table checks ins and clearing as well as refills were right on. If we looked up from our meal some staff member was there to fulfill our need.We had 5 different dim sums, a round of soups, entrees and even half a Peking duck and everything was delicious fresh and steaming hot. In the end we were thanked and left completely stuffed and happy ready to do sidewalk close area combat. Thanks Mr Sun you made our Christmas a pleasant memory!

I didn't love this spot, but there were a few redeeming qualities. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff was friendly and efficient--the food came out super fast. However, the dishes didn't live up to the hype of a Michelin-rated chef. The soup dumplings had good flavor but were way too big to fit on the spoon or even in our mouths, making them really hard to eat. The crispy duck appetizer was mostly bone, with hardly any meat to enjoy, and the pork belly was a bit soggy for my taste. While the service and speed were great, the food left a lot to be desired.

Price is really reasonable and the food are really good. Traditional Chinese food. Around Rockefeller center, I will say this is my #1 Chinese food spot. Environment is good for family dine in and friends hang out. Their service is also a , super nice, very friendly!

This place was great! The ambience was nicer than I gathered from pictures. We made reservation through Seated for 8pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered the soup dumplings (7/10), and the Peking duck (8/10). Service was prompt checking back multiple times. I highly recommend!

Went for lunch with coworkers for lunar new year. We did family style and ordered a bunch of entrees. My favorites were the pea shoots, chongqing spicy chicken, har gow, and fish filet in hot chili oil. Portion size could be bigger and the service can improve a little, though the staffs are friendly. The restaurant is a bit outdated, esp the interior decor and table/seats. Also, would've been nice if all the entrees came out at once instead of one entree at a time, esp when we didn't even get our rice until a bit later. We also ordered a whole peking duck which only half came out first then after we finished that one, the other one came out which we didn't realize they split it so it was a bit awkward eating the other half at the end when everyone was basically done eating. Not sure if I'd be back to dine here but maybe order their lunch specials from time to time.

Food is good but service is poor. They mistook our order and said they don't have what we ordered until we asked for the menu and showed them the correct dish. The waitress was rude when we checked, with not even a single "thanks" said. Not recommended.

Was looking for a quick and yummy lunch. This popped up and was about a ten minute walk from time square. They had lots of dim sum options and lunch specials. I ordered tofu with crab sauce and my dad got roast pork. The portions are bigger than expected and we could have easily shared the one lunch special. It's nice because you get a soda or a soup with your lunch order.

We went on a weekday. We were seated immediately in the back of the restaurant and given menus and cups of water. The look and feel of the restaurant is not what we saw online. There were boxes and cleaning items laying around near our seating area. The table was sticky. Literally every single dish we wanted was crossed out on the menu. Don't know if it was sold out for the day or if they no longer serve those dishes. We decided to leave. Our server was not happy we didn't order. She was slightly aggressive with us and wanted us to pay "something" "pay 3.00". I'm assuming it was for the water she poured us but I declined. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

This is a hidden gem in the theatre district. We made a res through Yelp, and were promptly seated when we arrived. We wanted a filling lunch before our show, and we ordered scallion beef, pan fried pot stickers, and soup dumplings. The beef came out first; it was a really substantial portion with properly velveted beef in a wonderful sauce with plenty of crisp-tender onions and scallions. We had to ask for white rice to go with it; beware that there is a small charge of $2 for the bowl of rice. The pot stickers were absolute perfection; plenty of well seasoned pork and chive filling, thin dough, well crisped, served with pot sticker sauce. The soup dumplings were wonderful; a bit larger than most, but we appreciated that because they were so delicious; filled with savory soup and tender pork. The soup dumplings were served with the correct black vinegar. With hot tea for two, and tip, the entire lunch didn't break $60. Highly recommended for a quick, tasty, and filling Chinese lunch in the theatre district.

Being a huge fan of dim sum, I was super excited to see a whole separate menu just for it. Some highlights were the crystal shrimp, mushroom dumplings. They fell a part when trying to pull off the paper or bins. My friends loved the Cumin Lamb. The soup dumplings were just ok- a little salty but super juicy. Lovely decor and peaceful ambiance. Quick, helpful service.
