Three great brunch dishes; Shakshuka, Shrimp Gyro Salad, Huevos Ranchero, all served in a nice setting by an attentive serving staff. My daughter said her Huevos Rancheros were the best she has ever had anywhere.

Motel Morris: the name alone whispers promises of high/low and irony. A ... motel? In Chelsea?? Intriguing. Roguish, even! It turns out, what they had in mind was not a motel at all, but rather, an intimate, vibey, dimly lit bar-avec-dining space with gorgeous teal velour banquettes and lush horticultural decor. So far, so good. Sadly, whatever imagination was expended on dreaming up this concept left the proprietors bereft of the energy to focus on great food. Look. My husband and I agreed that if we lived in Chelsea, we'd happily pop in here for a smartly made cocktail or a glass of wine every few weekends, nosh on the industrial quantities of French fries the kitchen puts out, and take in the artfully designed space. But we were here for dinner after a goodbye visit to the Rubin Museum, and I can't recommend the meal we had at all. We started with the smoked ricotta and toast; the bread managed to be both soft and burnt. My summer squash soup turned out to be a butternut squash bisque. Nothing amiss, but not memorable either. The faro main dish was encouragingly given pride of place at the top of the entree list. It turned out to be a small mound of grains attended by craisins and assorted herbs (mint, possibly parsley, and something else distractingly bitter), next to a quartet of shriveled zucchini pieces whose unpleasant texture was matched by a taste that ranged between bitter and office copier plastic. My husband described his burger as mediocre. Attentive and low-key service, a soothing ambiance and a clear lack of pretension mean that Motel Morris has potential. Come here for a drink and some fries and you'll love it. But whoever is working that grill is messing up a solid concept.

Came here on a Saturday for dinner at 7:30pm. The place was pretty packed so I was glad I had made a reservation. The menu was pretty reasonable with lots of choices to choose from. My friends and I decided to share dishes. I really liked the eggplant croquettes, unfortunately the pic I took of it didn't come out well but it was the standout dish for me. Our waiter was nice and friendly; he recommended dishes to chose.

Motel Morris was a pleasant surprise. I didn't have much expectation prior to going and it was a really nice space. Pretty bar and a quick cool bartender. We walked right in and sat at the bar. The Snow Bird cocktail tasted a bit like a full green tea shot so would probably try something else next time I go. Good experience, need to go back to try some food.

Motel Morris is a great neighborhood staple. I've been now for both dinner and brunch and highly enjoyed both meals. Not sure which I would put on top but we have had phenomenal service / we had our pug with us both time and he even got his own bowl for water and extra pets from servers. Highly recommend their draft cocktails and pancakes at brunch. We'll be back!!!

Came to Motel Morris on a Sunday around 2. I expected there wouldn't be many people there but it was completely packed. Even when we left at 3:30 people were still waiting to get in. My friend says it's her favorite brunch spot so I came in with pretty high expectations, and it was really good but just not my favorite spot in the city. The pancakes (which she ordered) sort of tasted like Cinnabon. Is that the point?! Who knows. I got the huevos. They were good but didn't blow me away. I may also just not be a brunch person though =\ I've heard this spot is really good for dinner so I'd definitely be willing to come back to give that a go. Also, if this matters to you, the restaurant is very like chic and instagrammy.

Solid neighborhood spot with friendly service. Cute and inviting space. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way for, but a nice, good consistent low key option in the area.I had a glass of red wine and the kale salad with salmon which was nothing special, but hit the spot.

Interesting Diner in the Chelsea general area. A colleague recommended the place for a quick business lunch and it was a nice choice. Of course, it helps that the weather was simply perfect so the door was left open and the cool breeze made it feel really comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the food is ... to describe in one word: comfort food which is perfectly fine.We felt quite comfortable and had a chance to catch up on our conversation as it isn't too noisy either. Overall a good experience, if you find yourself in the area, by all means, dive in. It is totally worth it.

This place is a very welcoming, pleasant place with excellent food. The noise level with music added is a bit on the loud side (hence the 4 rather than 5 stars). Service is efficient but not rushed.Save room for dessert . The chocolate pudding is worth the trip.
