Moon Wok

I have lived in the area for a bit and I am not even sure how long this restaurant has been here. Finally one night, I didn't feel like cooking and I knew I wanted some fried rice.Decided to pay a visit here to get take away.I was expecting maybe they had a "house special" fried rice the would include all the proteins but that wasn't the case. You order chicken, beef, or shrimp (or just vegetables). Actually I wanted the shrimp but I decided to go with beef instead. It was made rather promptly.As you see it looks inviting. It wasn't full of oil but it also wasn't dry. The Flavor was just right. I have seen the photos of the shrimp fried rice so I will try that next time. Their eggplant dish looked pretty good as well.

The food tasted pretty good and authentic! We ordered the Fried Pork Bun, Mapo Tofu, and Pork Belly with Taro. The staff were friendly and personable. The only downside was that the ventilation was poor and the smoke from the wok seeped into the dining area to the point where my eyes started getting dry from it. Despite that, I would still come back because I want to try other dishes.

I love Lunch Specials! Moon Wok has a bunch of them. Today I had the spicy fish which came with white rice and a modest amount of hot and sour soup.

Visiting Brooklyn NY and this was around the corner from my hotel. I really wanted real NY Chinese fried rice. I got the shrimp fried rice and an order of crab ragoons. The fried rice tasted fresh and there were plenty of shrimp. Crab ragoons had a little sweet taste to it but really good. If i was staying longer I would go back for an entrée.

Small sit down restaurant right near the metrotech commons- now called Brooklyn place across Flatbush Avenue. I went there for lunch and was immediately greeted and seated by their friendly staff. This is only a review of their lunch menu which I thought was very fairly priced for the area. Opted for the spicy fish dish as well as the garlic egg plant. The spicy fish was pretty spicy with all peppers and very crispy. I was pleasantly surprised. The garlic eggplant had some nice subtle heat with the sauce. It came with either hot and sour soup or soda. I would skip the soup- they put way too much corn starch so it was glopper and that's not a good thing. For the area it's pretty authentic northern Chinese. I would come here again when I need a nice freshly made lunch to tuck into.

Delicious. Excited to have this in the neighborhood and try more dishes. The pork dumplings in chili oil were the perfect combination of spicy and sweet.

Beef with broccoli was very bland, I should have ordered it spicy. The service was good but I ordered take out. The restaurant looks very plain almost like it's under construction. The food was just average but the price was very expensive. I paid over 15 dollars for a small Beef with broccoli and white rice.

The Fish Filet in Rice Wine Sauce is excellent. Service is prompt and attentive. The Spicy Fish Filet has a crust that I didn't prefer. Both were very ample portions.

We stumbled upon this place after a long day of traveling. We were blown away! The staff and kitchen were working so hard. The food was so great that our group came back once...even twice! Our favorites included the eggplant appetizer and the general tsao chicken.

not good. Some bad smell and I could not make sure it is a real meet. And I have went this place for many times. The service is bad .
