Mondrian Terrace

Another amazing NYC rooftop spot. So nice to see all of these popping up in the city. Food, drinks, atmosphere and service were all top notch here.

I came to the Mondrian Terrace for drinks with a friend after work.It's an upscale bar on the 15th floor of the Mondrian Park Hotel, with an open and airy outdoor space. It is surrounded by many buildings, so you don't have a lot of unobstructed views of the city compared to some other rooftop bars, but it has a great feel of being on a terrace right in the middle of the city.Last night, they had an event on the outdoor terrace, so we could only sit inside. We would have preferred outdoor seating, but it was still nice and spacious inside, so we decided to stay. The event was a candlelight concert with a string quartet and we could hear the music from our table, which was a lovely treat.The drinks were quite pricey, at $14+ for wines and $17+ or higher for cocktails. So you are paying for the atmosphere and considering the prices, we were surprised the drinks came in plastic glasses and were served without any coasters. The service was good, though--not too little, not too much.Overall, we had a nice evening and I would recommend this bar for a date or catching up with a friend over a a couple of drinks, as long as you're prepared to pay.

It was my first time here. Drinks were a bit on the pricey side especially to be used in plastic cups. But maybe that was because it was an indoor/ outdoor event. I was here for a networking event last night. Bartenders were nice. The rooftop has very comfortable couches and the interior is very pretty. It was smaller than I pictures it. But it was still a fun time.

I met my friend here for drinks around 8 PM on a Friday night. Surprisingly the whole place was very empty - there was no one on the terrace area apart from my friend and I and at most a five person group inside the bar. As soon as I sat down one of the servers came over to take my order. I got the "Dare to Pear" because it sounded delicious, looked pretty but unfortunately provided a disappointing taste. The rosemary just overpowered the whole drink and was not very good. I couldn't finish the whole thing and instead opted to drink my friend's drink "Alps and Apples." The flavor of the drink was a bit muted and honestly just tasted like liquid potpourri but was still better than the "Dare to Pear." Even though the drinks were not the best the appearance of the terrace was really pretty. Since we are currently in the throes of Winter, the area was covered up and serviced by tons of heaters. The decorations were very nice and cozy and provided a great area to sit in while we enjoyed the Winter night. All in all, even though appearance-wise the area looks wonderful the actual meat of the bar was fairly average with some below average drinks serving up some heavy price tags.

"You had me at rosé." This is an awesome rooftop bar. My girlfriends and I had a great time here. It was exactly what we were looking for. The vibe is #roséallday. We ordered frosés and the flatbread. I loved that we had our own section and could relax and enjoy the weather. The service is attentive and friendly. The music is also very good. I found myself shazaming every other song. There are a lot of good photo opportunities here. Is it expensive? Sure, but the view, vibe, and exterior seating is worth it.

Randomly found this place. They take reservations. The view is nothing extraordinary but on a nice breezy day it's a decent hangout. They have some couches and wooden tables and chairs. I wish I know what you have to do to get the couches. Service is good. Our server brought out our drinks very promptly. I was a little disappointed their cotton candy machine was broken. But oh well. The Rose-Rita was good not great. Initially you get the raspberry chili but then winging a few minutes you just get a tequila cocktail. The watermelon grapefruit frose was a better choice. They have a cutesy place done inside for insta and all. Overall a decent place but cocktails arent standing out and no great view. But do visit for a casual hangout.

Such a beautiful rooftop! Loved their seating and the view. We had two drinks - Cucumber Margarita and a Paloma. The marg was definitely refreshing, but the Paloma was a bit too sweet. All in all, glad I went to check it out, but not sure if I'd go there again and again.

Meh. As far as rooftop places, I was not blown away by this one considering the Yelp reviews. I attended a private party here tonight and a part of the rooftop was sectioned off for us. There was also an indoor area available for when the weather is inclement.The rooftop was similar to an L shape configuration---a bit narrow and cramped There were some nice views depending on where you were situated otherwise, you will most likely be looking at buildings across the way.Some comfy sofas and greenery spruced up the ambiance. Our party had cheese nibbles for food. Mediocre and salty The outrageous part was when I waited forever on the line to the bar to order a glass of Rose Drum roll---it was $18.50!!!!! Shut the front door, but true. And it wasn't even the best Rose I've tasted. Unbelievable.I will not be rushing back.

This place is the CUTEST. I was so stunned by the views and how I "serendipitously" came upon it! Amazing for after work drinks or a low key date. I definitely feel this isn't a rooftop that is as well known in the city, so if you want to impress someone by taking them somewhere off the beaten track - this should be on your list!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE-1000000/10 the staff is VERY uncooperative I spent THOUSANDS on rooms and couldn't even get a rollaway bed or extra blankets, couldn't get into a room I paid for with someone in my group after they left a day early and we still needed a room, LIED about being fully booked with no rooms available AFTER I booked again to get a room and they accepted my money, coul get a refund on the extra room I wasn't allowed in, very bad experience with rude customer service. makes me hate new york for real won't be having anymore live shows here
