Must try: Ramen Lunch Set!Why: Good deal for Lunch Set, which I got Tonkotsu Ramen, Salmon Avocado Maki, and added Steamed Gyoza! The ramen broth was flavorful and the bowl looked small but was deep so filling size for lunch. Loved the broth, veggies, and meat. It also came with small side of cucumber, which was refreshing. The Maki and Gyoza were also good, especially the green sauce on gyoza - yum! Great lunch meal with a friend on a cold NYC day!Notes: Conveniently location in Midtown close to my office. Clean and spacious with small tables and long bench tables. The bench has space underneath for your belongings. Nice decor and ambience. Workers were friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Came in here for an office lunch outing and I just had the Tokyo chicken and was pretty disappointed with what I ate !The broth had no flavor at all and the chicken pieces were meager, tried my best to add in some table sauces to make it flavorful but had to leave it at that ! Almost everyone in our party had similar reviews of the ramen !There are great ramen places around New York and this certainly doesn't deserve the high ratings according to me !!

Manhattan, NY (midtown east) - Momosan is Iron Chef Morimoto's first ramen shop, and has had staying power as still having some of the best ramen in the city since it opened almost a decade ago. The noodles and broths are thoughtfully crafted and well-considered. The tonkotsu bone broth is rich with a depth of flavor, and I loved my tan-tan ramen in a thick and mildly spicy curry-coconut-sesame based broth, topped off with miso ground pork. While the ramen is the indisputable star here, the menu also offers a quality complement of appetizers, sushi rolls, and rice dishes. The lunch set, with a slightly smaller (but still filling and satisfying) bowl of ramen + a side of maki (sushi roll) or don (rice bowl), is a great deal! The space isn't large so gets packed quickly. There are a bunch of seats around the bar, some four-tops, and two communal 8-seat tables.

My old coworkers and I decided to try this place out for lunch. We got here right as they opened at 11:30 and they got packed pretty quickly. The place itself has a good amount of seating and you do not feel like you are on top of each other. They have lunch specials Monday through Fridays I believe. They also are known for their Sakes and our waiter actually gave up recommendations on what he believed would be the best for us and he was quite knowledgable about it. For food we got a bunch of food to share:-Popcorn Shrimp: Really yummy and delicious, would recommend!-Spicy Wontons: Not too spicy but great flavoring and would recommend-Tonkotsu Raomen: This was just alright - nothing too special or unique. The broth was not the best I had and the noodles were just meh. I would skip on their ramen. -Shrimp Tempura Roll: This was really yummy, they have Kochujang sauce on it which made it super flavorful and pretty unique. -Morimoto junmai ginjo: This was recommended by our waiter and it was pretty good. On the sweeter side (they recommend morimoto junmai if you want something drier). But this went down really smooth.Overall - solid lunch place and if you are in the area you should stop by!

We had an amazing meal at Momosan. The space is small and cozy. There is a lot of communal and bar seating. The booths are usually reserved for parties of four. It was a quiet Sunday night, so the host graciously let us sit in a booth. Our waitress was charming and had plenty of great advice. The beer was cold and on point. We took advantage of the $30 dinner set and got some appetizers. The duck tacos were excellent and the sticky ribs were mind blowing. Both appetizers were rich and deeply flavorful. We both ordered the spicy tan tan ramen. It was delicious with a very rich, sesame forward and spicy broth. This was among the best ramen that I have ever had. Apparently this is a tough table to score at lunch time, so being a contrarian paid off. Awesome meal- looking forward to returning.

One of the best Ramen place in NYC. I ordered lunch special and everything was good! Location: It is located along Lexington Ave. the interior is nice, typical Japanese concept. Lot of seating. The bar seating is nice because you can see how they make the sushi.Service: not that much interaction. I was seated at the bar so I get a chance to look at the sushi master.Food: Lunch special includes 1 ramen and 1 appetizer. I ordered extra kakuni bao for $4.TONKATSU RAMEN: the broth was very flavorful. The meat was tender and the noodles was cooked properly. I emptied my bowl because it was so delicious.SALMON AVOCADO ROLL: made fresh in front of me. The rice on the roll was good. And the ginger on the side was the best!KAKUNI BAO: the meat was very soft, you dont have to chew it. The flavor has perfect seasoning. The bao was soft and new.Price rating: 8/10 price range. $23 for tonkatsu and salmon avocado roll plus $4 for one piece of kakuni baoI will definitely come back here because everything was good! I wanna try other food that is on the menu.

Momosan absolutely blew me away! The tan-tan ramen is a creamy, indulgent dream -- insanely delicious and packed with flavor. The spicy kakui tonkotsu is just as incredible, with a rich, smoky kick that keeps you coming back for more. The karaage? Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. And don't even get me started on the Brussels sprouts -- roasted to perfection, so flavorful, and a surprising standout.Every single dish was a hit, and the attention to flavor and texture is unmatched. Momosan is a must-visit for any ramen or Japanese food lover. Can't wait to go back!

I got the tonkotsu ramen for a quick lunch on a sunday. I personally think the ramen broth is a little bit light, and I don't like the texture of the chashu too much - it is a bit too thin and not fatty enough to give a rich flavor. I also don't prefer the wavy ramen and the egg could be marinated more and have a softer yolk. In general it is actually an okay bowl of ramen but probably just not my preferred style. Service is attentive and the interior is quite cozy and modern though.

Great ramen spot! Tons of toppings so you can customize your dish to your liking. The regular tonkotsu is so good, the noodles are the stand out here for sure. I've only ever sat at the bar so service has always been quick! Decent amount of space inside so could try your luck with walking in. Will say it's a tad overpriced, but that's expected in midtown.

They don't take reservations so my friends and I got here around 5:30 on a weekday. It was still relatively empty at that time and it didn't start getting crowded until after 6. We ordered the tonkatsu, spicy tan tan, and Tokyo chicken ramens below. The noodles were average tasting, nothing super great stood out but they weren't bad either. Something to keep in mind is when they ask you for sparkling or still water, you'll need to pay for both options. We just went with still water and it ended up being a glass bottle of still water for $7. I'm assuming you'd have to ask for tap water for it to be free of charge. No big deal but wish they would clarify it for customers at the very beginning. Don't really see myself coming back here since the food was alright but adding on an extra star for great service.
