Molyvos

Great place for Greek. The Greek village salad was an A plus. Avgolemono soup was an A minus. The stuffed pepper had too much tomato and was only fair. The moussaka was about as good as I have ever had. I mean like really really tasty. Service and ambiance were great. Had a nice glass of Greek wine. Highly recommended.

Came for brunch/lunch on a weekend without a reservation and the food was very good. We ordered the grape leaves, meatballs, spread sampler, spanakopita and lamb gyro sliders. The lamb gyro sliders were the least impressive dish (too much raw onion and a bit oily), but everything was tasty. The sauce the meatballs came in was divine and the spanakopita was the perfect texture. The grape leaves were delicious as was the spread sampler though being a bit picky, the hummus was a little heavy on the garlic.Our waiter was very attentive and the food came out at a good pace. While not inexpensive by any means, I think it was worth it and would recommend it for a nicer lunch if you are in the area.

I love the food, service & setting here.Delicious treat.The only thing that fell a bit shy of fabulous was our small 2- top was squished against the wall and not ample enough to be conducive to sharing. I'd definitely return; just to a larger table.

Love their beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. The lamb chops are the best! Had the pastitsio was tremendous. Also part of the Livanos group like Oceana.

I went to Molyvos to meet a friend for drinks. I can't speak for the food, but the cocktails were fantastic! The bar was also not crowded and you could watch them make the cocktails in front of you! The ambiance was very cozy and the food looked great, I'll have to come again to try it!

Delicious Greek fare! Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. Especially the dolmades. And the service was fantastic - welcoming, attentive, and they even fire up the saganaki tableside for a little show. Given the proximity to broadway, I'll definitely be back before my next show.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and we were treated with care. Welcoming service, fabulous authentic cuisine and gorgeous decor. It was splendid! Thank you for the cake !

Came here as a family, and was really happy with our experience. We got a variety of dishes, and there was nothing to complain about at all. We started with a couple cocktails, which were delicious. The pita also was great, but my favorite was probably the lamb shank. Would definitely recommend!

Food: 4Service: 5Value: 4Overall: 4.5We tried out Molyvos this week for dinner on a weekend - dinner was a great experience with excellent portions, and I'd go back.We started with the eggplant dip and scallop ceviche alongside delicious pita and olive oil - wouldn't recommend the ceviche since it felt like the citrus and light sweet flavor was too strong which overpowered the scallops. Calamari was good and great portions; loved the grilled halloumi which was presented by being lit on fire tableside!Our entrees were the hanger steak with fries - really good but honestly we were so full from appetizers - and the lamb shank with orzo - solid but at times almost tasted a bit light which wasn't bad but surprising for a dish this rich. I compared it vs. another of the same dish at a different restaurant in town and it's very good (plus much better price) but not quite as tasty.Overall, would recommend going and the portions are very generous, service is great and we had a great time. Thank you!
