One of my favorite spots in the city! The concept is a Korean fusion restaurant serving tapas style dishes. Their corn dumplings and noodles are staples and their cauliflower is packed with spice and flavor! They have fun adult capri sun drinks or soju based cocktails. The restaurant itself is fairly small and intimate. You'll most likely need a reservation.

All in all, pretty mid. My 2 friends and I went during a weekday after work, and it was pretty busy but we had made a reservation so were seated pretty quickly. The vibes are nice, your typical dim lit nyc tapas place, with pretty plates decorated around the restaurant. The best dish by far was the noodle. It was a mala noodles and it was just the right amount of spicy and delicious. The second best was the corn dumplings -- I thought the sauce pairing with the corn cream was great. The third best was the injeolmi mousse, but I do think it's hard to mess up dessert. For the rest of the dishes, the food was just fine, but the sauce pairings were questionable. We got the steak (which was a bit too rare of our liking), but it was paired with some sort of hummus which we thought was interesting. The yellowtail crudo was paired with some nutty sauce, which honestly overpowered the yellowtail/grapefruit. If I didn't mention the other dishes, it means they were unmemorable. If you just want vibes and need a place to eat it's fine to go, but don't recommended from a food perspective.

Great spot for an elevated meal or date night! The interior is quite intimate and cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. They have a creative menu of Korean tapas with a lot of interesting creative takes. The presentation of each dish is beautiful and carefully crafted, but be warned that the portion sizes are quite small so you may need to order more than you planned! We tried the cauliflower (highly recommend), plantains, ribs (our favorite), the noodle (also yum), and the mousse for dessert. Loved every dish, but again, small portions so you gotta savor each bite! I liked how they brought out each dish one after the other like a coursed meal, which helped to savor each dish and give it your full attention.

Mokyo was a lovely experience! We arrived at were unfortunately sat right next to the bathroom, but next to a beautiful little nook as seen in the photo!Alright, now what we're here for-- the food. The dishes are TINY. Definitely tapas style and we were both starving so we opted for 6 plates, but we could've definitely gotten 7 or 8. I loved the size of these dishes so we could order a lot but the prices were quite hefty as each dish was $15-$20 range so it adds up. Also, note the place doesn't sell liquor so only wine, sake, and sake-related cocktails.Ok, the food was all incredible! Plantains came with pistachio crumbs to dip them in and were cooked beautifully. The duck fried rice was super smoky if you're into that you'll love this dish. The lobster rolls substituted truffle sauce for slaw and it worked quite well and will be one large bite. The STARS are definitely the oxtail spring rolls with another truffle dipping sauce and the CORN DUMPLINGS OMG. They were so sweeeeeet and cooked perfectly as well. Never had corn dumplings before but would LOVE to eat 10 of these some time again shortly. They bring the dishes out one at a time so you're not overwhelmed and the timing was perfect. The staff were also super friendly! If the menu seems a bit overwhelming feel free to ask for help and they'll guide you in the right direction.Super great dinner spot! Definitely try it out and you won't be disappointed. Just expect to pay a good bit given dish sizing.

This was a cool spot for creative fusion food. I tried four of the vegetarian dishes. Asparagus ceviche - creamy and tart sauce, and perfectly cooked asparagus. The cracker on top added a nice crispy element.Corn dumplings - I'm not usually a huge fan of truffles, but these dumplings were an exception. The truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, and the corn's sweetness balanced it out well. The light broth at the bottom was also nice. Definitely my favorite dish.Plantains - just okay. The two skewers were grilled simply and served with a bit of sauce on the side. In comparison to the other dishes, this was probably the most standard.Cauliflower - the crispy exterior plus the sweet and spicy sauce reminded me a lot of gobi manchurian. The labneh and herbs over top provide balance. The meal was certainly expensive, reaching about $80 with tax and tip. The creative dishes here are definitely worth a try.

"Inventive and reasonably priced Asian fusion"I really enjoy their sister restaurant, Thursday Kitchen which has been a long time favorites of mine and a seminal restaurant in the East Village. And for that matter, renowned amongst many foodies in NYC and recognized by Eater. So it's been on my list for awhile. It did not disappoint. What's to cheer- Great assortment of small dishes - Good portions sizes...equivalent to "medio"- Strong list of sake- Oxtail spring rolls and Gumbo were standouts!. The steak and corn dumplings were ok but I don't know if I'd order them again. What's to jeer- Sake prices are a little expensive - Limited drinks if you don't like beer or Sochu- Dessert options were weak

Typically when I go to these more expensive restaurants, I do a lot of research. But then for some reason this placed appealed to us enough on Google Maps to want to go and I'm so glad we did because it's now one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. We made a reservation beforehand on a weekday night and I think that is a bit of a must as there was quite a bit of people inside. We ordered 6 dishes for 2 people and it turned out to be a lot of food. I feel like 5 dishes could've been enough. I have noted them down based on my favorite (corn dumpling) to my least favorite (steak).- Corn Dumpling - Suprisingly this was my favorite thing of the night. I didn't really care for the sauce or the breading of the dumpling as I thought it was too thick, but the filling was to die for. It was a bit sweet with a lot of corn flavor. It really was just something I've never had before which is quite rare. I would eat the filling inside straight up.- Gumbo - I feel like this is a really weird thing to like but I actually loved their gumbo. The flavor profile was almost a combination of tomato soup, which I loved. On top of that, there were so many ingredients inside, especially crawfish. For a high-end restaurant, I was really happy that there was a dish that would both fill me up and also taste great.- Noodle - I don't know what they did to this noodle. In fact, these noodles don't even have any sort of protein inside it but I absolutely loved that they were super garlic-y but also had a kick of spice.- Berkshire Rib - This was my boyfriend's favorite dish of the night! The first bite was marvelous as not only were the ribs incredibly tender but the smoky flavor was present throughout the entire rib. I feel like a lot of BBQ restaurants claim that the flavor is in their meats but this one was probably the most I ever resonated with that statement. After a while of eating this, I felt that the rib was a bit much and wish there was some sort of pickle or whatnot to cut through the meaty-ness.- Lobster Roll - I actually really liked the bread of this dish, but I still like the more traditional lobster rolls more. I did enjoy the pickled celery a lot though!Steak - I thought this was actually one of the weaker dishes of the night. The steak's raw parts were a bit tough, and the mushroom sauce cracked a little, which was interesting.Overall, fantastic eat and I will be back to try more of their foods. Also, I really am excited now to try their sister restaurant, Thursday Kitchen, to see what is the difference.

My friends and I came here and ordered a good variety of items to try. Some of them were really good, while others were just okay. I would recommend the corn dumpling, the rice with octopus, and the yellowtail crudo. The tartare, steak, wagyu oxytail spring roll were okay. I think for the price and portion, there was some more left to be desired. We also got the pop rocks and injeolmi mousse for dessert, which both were good -- I thought the pop rocks were a nice touch. We also ordered a bottle of makgeolli to share which was good. The staff also treated us to a shot of soju in honor of my birthday which was a sweet touch!

An absolute hidden gem right in St Marks - go here before it blows up! Essentially Korean fusion tapas, make sure to bring people with you so you can order everything on the menu. Interior has two rooms so lots of space! From the take on gumbo to the peanut noodles everything here is absolutely delicious. Come hungry!

Two words: corn dumplings. To begin, I'm not sure if it's a permanent thing but the street is blocked off to pedestrians only. Not that we sat outside, but good to know it was an option. We sat at the bar and decided on the plantain app however the server let us know it's cooked in the same oil as meat dishes so we switched to the heirloom tomato app instead. Speaking of, it was just that- while I appreciate a good tomato, it's a hefty price tag for sometime I could make with my home grown veggies. But the corn dumplings were out of this world. So good in fact, we ordered it twice! The filling, the shaved fennel and that sauce! You just have to try it.
