I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. It is a great thai food option with amazing service and reasonable prices. We showed up a little late for our reservation because of subway delays (classic), so we waited around 15 minutes to get seated. They were able to accommodate vegetarian options (with and without fish sauce), and the food came out very quickly after we ordered. The lighting in here is perfect and we were able to comfortably catch up with each other. We got 4 items and shared amongst 4 hungry gals. The proportions were the perfect amount. My favorite was the Roti with massamun curry. The curry was def the highlight with lots of flavor. You can also never go wrong with the Pad Se-Ew. We liked everything we ordered!

This is a great lunch spot, popular among those working in Midtown. Lunchtime is always busy, so it's best to make a reservation to ensure a quick seating. The food is excellent. I especially love the dinner menu, which showcases all four regional Thai cuisines on the menu as on a map of Thailand, with detailed descriptions, and illustrations of each dish. For lunch, the seafood Tom Yum soup is my go-to on cold days, while basil fried rice or curry dishes are perfect for warmer weather. The cocktails are also really great - all of them!

After watching Mufasa, my date and I were looking for a restaurant open late, and I was really in the mood for Thai food. That's when I found Mitr Thai, and with all the great reviews, I was excited to see what the hype was about! The menu was a bit overwhelming at first because it includes dishes from different parts of Asia, with the names in their native languages and English descriptions underneath. Instead of spending time deciding, we let our waitress pick our food--whatever was popular, tasted amazing, and what people usually order.Honestly, I couldn't even tell you the name of the dishes or appetizers we got, but let's just say everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were on point, well-balanced, and authentic--definitely some of the best Thai food I've had in a while.Even though we got there right before closing, the service was A1--super friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy, clean, and perfect for a date night or even just hanging out with friends.I'd definitely go back, especially when we have more time to fully enjoy the experience. If you're looking for quality Thai food, great service, and a nice atmosphere, Mitr Thai is the place to go!

Some vegetarian options (not a huge selection, but enough to have choices), knowledgeable and helpful staff, modern beautiful indoor dining experience, and affordable lunch specials. The lunch special comes with a house salad that has a delightfully tangy passionfruit ginger dressing, and the Thai iced tea was brewed perfectly.

So glad I finally got to try Mitr! I made a res a few days before, make sure you arrive on time - you get ten minutes buffer before they give away your table. We tried several dishes. Roti massamun - really good curry, the roti is on the smaller size. Kinda oily. Goong muk prik klua - recommended by our waitress, this is a crispy stir fry of shrimp and squid. Very flavorful, the sauce is VERY spicy. We're glad we got the rec, love trying new dishes beyond your typical thai fare. The portion size is not the largest, though.Steak and garlic rice - this was on the specials menu. Steak bites were nice, nothing crazy. The garlic rice is super flavorful and yummy. Kea Mao - looved how big and wide the noodles in this were. We got it with tofu, which was on the smaller side and a little too fried. But the noodles themselves were really good!Isaan classic - a simple dish! This was hard to share tbh, but it consists of some roasted chicken, lettuce/herbs, sticky rice. I wasn't totally sure how to eat this, but the individual parts were nice and I'm glad it came with a side of papaya salad.

I'm used to eating Thai food at small mom and pop shops, so dining in at Mitr Thai was a different, but enjoyable experience. It's an upscale restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan serving cuisine from four different regions of Thailand.First, I highly recommend making reservations. There was a line of people waiting outside before they even opened for dinner. The entire place was steadily getting packed the entire time we were eating. There are two floors for dining, with a full bar on the first floor. The restaurant is beautifully designed with colorful decorations, wall art, and low lighting. Keep in mind that they have a seating limit. The tables are very close together, so if you wanted a quiet and intimate experience, this might not be the right place. The service alone gets 5 stars. Our server was the sweetest! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. She was attentive with clearing out our plates, cleaning our table, refilling drinks, and checking in on us. The menu offers dishes from four regions: North, South, Central, Northeast. I usually order pad thai as a staple dish for my first impression...because how can you mess up a national dish? HOWEVERRRRR, I decided it would be a waste not to try something new because I've never seen so many diverse options before. We picked a few things from each region:*Roti Massaman ($16) - This was my favorite appetizer. The pan fried roti absorbed the flavors of the chicken massaman curry dipping sauce so well. It was so good that I could have eaten the curry by itself, haaaa.*Gai Gor Lae ($15) - The grilled marinated chicken skewers were tender and topped with a red curry paste. I prefer to eat skewers with spicy peanut sauce. The curry was too overwhelming for me.*Khao Pad Nam Prik Kak Moo ($28) - A dish from the central region consisting of crispy pork belly fried rice, chili, garlic, red onion, tamarind sauce, sweet pork belly, boiled egg, pork rind, and fresh vegetables. The flavor profile was sweet, savory, and spicy. I really enjoyed the pork belly, but this isn't something I would order again.*Nam Tok ($34) - A Northeastern dish consisting of grilled cube sirloin with roasted chili rice powder, herbs, mint, red onion, cilantro, thai chili lime dressing, and sticky rice. The sirloin was DELICIOUS and seasoned perfectly- tarty and spicy. I would order this again!*Purple Rice & Coconut Ice Cream - The warmth from the sticky rice + the cold from the ice cream? It hit the spot! They have cocktails and mocktails, but we stuck to the traditional Thai drinks... Thai Iced Tea ($8) and Thai Iced Coffee ($8). Both drinks were perfectly made and tasted exactly how they should- creamy, milky, not overly sweet.I would come back to try other dishes if I'm in the area again. Yes, the price tag is hefty, but you can't be surprised considering it's in midtown.

Today was my first time trying Mitr Thai. They are located conveniently near midtown, only a few steps from major subway lines. I didn't have a reservation here (they have a $30 no show cancellation policy), so decided to do a walk in. When the group initially showed up, they said our wait would be 45 mins. However, they got us seated in under 20! The menu at Mitr Thai is extensive, with each section representing a different cuisine. For appetizers, the group with the Roti Massaman and Mango Avacado Salad. The chicken curry that came with the roti was FILLED with flavor. The roti was flaky and soft. This was a highlight of the night. This was perfectly paired with the Mango Avacado Salad, which was a combination of spicy and sweet. For the main dish, I got the duck salad (Larb Ped). This was a recommendation by our server. I could tell that the duck was good quality, as it wasn't gamey. The flavors, however, were very light and refreshing. I didn't feel like they complimented the duck as well as I would have liked. However, the portion size was very generous. Overall, I had a great night at Mitr Thai. I'd come back here for the appetizers and try a different main next time!

Staff was very friendly and ambiance was amazing. very very cute place and super big. Entrees were a hit or miss but overall thumbs up. We got the - tom yum hot pot soup 5/5- papaya salad 4.5/5 - pad thai pork 3.5/5- nam tok 2.5/5Tom yum was AMAZING. proabbly best tom yum ive had so far. super flavorful. yum. Portion size for this one is smaller than pictured. Papaya salad was tasty too, asked for it extra spicy but it was still not as hot as i wanted This was missing some cherry tomato's but still good nonetheless. Pad thai would proabbly skip-- tastes like pad thai sauce from a jar. It was alright but wouldn't get it again. Nam tok came in a very very small portion might have just been an app w that size. it was extra charred and didn't have the fresh chili like kick to it. pretty mid. I bet the less basic entrees must be pretty good though based on the flavor profiles that had for the salad and soup. I would come back to try more things for sure.

I'm updating my review as I went back recently. Went with my colleagues for lunch and we made reservations. I highly suggest doing that as there were people waiting to be seated. Just note that they won't seat you unless your entire party is with you as well. This place is really large with both upstairs and downstairs seating. The menu has food for everyone, but it will take awhile for your meal to come out.For our meal, we ordered the Kao Soy Gai, Tom Yum Goong, Tom Kha Gai and Keaw Wan. All were quite different so of course we all had different perspectives of our meal. Mine was the egg pancake with clams and that was quite bland. I enjoyed it better last time since I had different food.

Nice, quick lunch with my buddies. This is one of my friend's favorite places for lunch (while at work). Items ordered were the Massaman Gai, Krapaw Moo Sub and Krapaw Moo Krob over rice. Having tasted every dish, I can say that everything was very tasty and everything seems to be crafted with real ingredients... as opposed to curry you may get from a "Japanese take-out" when you can tell that curry came from a box. My friend's said we got real lucky that day for the place is usually packed for lunch and there's usually a wait. We were seated right away and food arrived at our table in less than 10 mins. Ideal for those of us who have to rusj back to work. The place has a modern feel and I'd say it is nicely decorated in a simplistic way. Our server was very friendly and attentive. It was a nice experience overall.
