I ordered Oxtail and rice, it comes with fried plaintain and (I asked them to hold the) cabbage. There was an A rating sticker so I thought it would be great. They also do deliveries through UberEATS. The place is a small takeout only joint but there's a garden looking area out front where you can sit. It was closed on my visit. Back to the spot, it seemed a bit weather-worn like it was past its glory days but again, I was driven by that "A". My oxtail was a bit oily, fatty and tough and I didn't enjoy my food much but PLEASE try for yourself. Staff was good. The End.

I love ordering from Mitchell's through uber eats. I plan to come to the restaurant in person to talk to the man himself . He called a few times when he was running low on a dish and asked me if I want an alternative. I orders today for lunch and the food arrived fresh hot and sooner than I thought. I got a small jerk chicken with veggies and peas and rice and a mini order of oxtail for my mom . You won't go wrong with Mitchell's.

Now I have tried many carribean restaurants as my reviews and photos show but Mitchells is hands down the most authentic when it comes to taste. In the past I think I overlooked true carribean food due to the dining experience and presentation but this place is none of that and is still better than the others I have tried. Please get the oxtails with white rice or rice and peas it will not disappoint. This place is true to Jamaican taste and quality plus good portions at lower prices. One of my favs for real.

Good for a small, cheap place. My goat was 50% bone. But the goat was tasty. Some tables to eat outside.

If you're looking for low sodium jamaican food, this is the place for you. It's not bad just uneventful. I had the oxtails with rice and peas and cabbage. Some of the oxtails were nice and tender, most of them were tough.I also tried a chicken roti...disaster. it had bones all over place, big bones, little bones, pieces of bones, I almost want to sue for attempted murder.Whatever, theres a million jamaican spots in Brooklyn. 50 of them are good.

Hungry having slept in after a late-night arrival at LaGuardia, my friends and I trudged out into the snow to find something tasty at a good price. We found ourselves at Mitchell's.Although the place was just an order counter and we were really looking for somewhere to take a break from the weather, we were caught up in the delicious aroma of the kitchen. Each of us ordered a different dinner plate - oxtail, curry chicken, curry goat, and jerk chicken. We took our styrofoam boxes to the closest subway station and ate our rice plates greedily...all the meats were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, the cabbage/carrots were savory, and the plantains were a sweet treat. We'll probably come again this week as a hangover cure...haha...

Food was good however there wasn othing spectacular about it, otherwise it would have 4 stars. I ordered a curry chicken and my friend ordered an oxtail dinner. We both agreed it was alright. Matter fact I'm going to give it 4 stars because for a Caribbean spot I did'n't have to deal with the following:A. AttitudeB. Waiting an EternityC. Odd or Unfair Pricing StructureMostly that extra star is due to the lack of an attitude you typically get from a Carib spot.

I was walking with my dog and smelled the most amazing flavors coming from this place. The owner, Mitchell, stopped outside and talked with me and my pup for a bit about his business and how his food. Much respect!! It's really all about the seasoning and that slow cook! I tried Oxtail for the first time in my life and I found myself moaning and clapping while eating it-- SO GOOD!! So juicy, flavorful, and filling. Just what I needed to pick me up and make me feel great. Thank you so much, Mitchell, for providing the neighborhood with great smells and even better food. Loved it! I will be returning to try the jerk chicken very soon! Highly recommend.
