I came in on a weekday at 4pm to meet some friends for a drink. Upon walking in, the ambiance of the restaurant is so cozy with warm lighting and plenty of antique looking accessories hung up all around. There are also multiple rooms with beautiful curtains and velvet couches all around. Even the bathrooms are beautifully done, they really did a fabulous job decorating this place! There is a happy hour from 4-6pm so we took advantage and ordered Moscow Mules, Prosecco, and a beer, all of which tasted great! We ended up ordering the Mediterranean Threesome which was a cheeky way to describe three delicious dips paired with pita and crudités.To end the meal, they gave us a free round of green tea shots, which were also great! We were checked on often enough to keep our cups full, but not so often as to be unnecessary or annoying. Overall my experience was very positive here and I can't wait to come back and try more of their food and cocktails!

I went to see English on Broadway a few weeks ago and had brunch at the recently opened Miss Nellie's before the show. First, the space is huge by NYC standards and I LOVE the concept and design. The restaurant is named after Nellie Bly, the ground breaking journalist, and the decor reflects her life, the period she lived in, and her general attitude. The menu is veggie friendly and they have a fun range of cocktails to go along with it. There are two vegetarian main options for brunch, but they also have a separate plant based section of the menu to satisfy both vegans and vegetarians! We ordered:Eggs Ranchero (from the main menu) - Miss Nellie's version of Huevos Rancheros. Good, but a little too cheesy for me, personally. Pimento Cheesy Mac - If you like mac and cheese, this will hit the spot, but eat it warm! Paesano (brunch cocktail) - I really want to be a cocktail person, but I'm just not. The presentation was cute, but the drink was too sweet and generally meh. Overall, the food was average, but the space is great, especially for large groups. I'm definitely adding it to my pre/post show restaurant/bar roster

Hmmm this place was an interesting oneAmbiance 5/5: I would come here for the decor alone, lots of cute places to sit and great for a date night, I loved everything from the bar area to the walls to the little attention to details.Food: 4/5 : overall the food was tasty, cooked thoroughly and packed flavor my biggest issue was the really small portion sizes they gave us about 10 fries which was unfortunate because they were so good!Drinks 4/5: They were beautiful and tasty and I would definitely come back to try some of their other menu options but maybe during happy hour since prices are all north of $18Service: we had the best waiter, the entire staff was friendly and accommodating especially the wonderful hostesses. The food didnt take too long to come out and it was piping hotOverall I would definitely come back!

Very cozy restaurant, more bar vibe. Hightop tables in the back, front bar area low tables. The mediterranean trio appetizer was very tasty, nice portion. The French dip meat was very overcooked. The au jus was served in a heavy crock with lid, but was not hot. The chicken parmesan was good, unfortunately the pasta with sauce was terrible. Tasted store bought.

Let me start with the good stuff: Miss Nellie's is conveniently located near the theater district, they've done a phenomenal job with the decor -- it's warm and cozy, and their servers are very sweet. As several other reviews have noted, the cuisine leaves something to be desired. However, it seems Miss Nellie's is a relatively recent entry to the dining scene, and I'm hopeful that the kitchen will find its groove. We shared the Nashville chicken bites, triple smashburger, and little gem salad. The chicken was surprisingly mild; I probably made a poor assumption that the "Nashville" part of the menu listing was referring to Nashville hot chicken. Clearly, not the case. I found the salad under-dressed (read: dry) and tough. The burger was solid, and the fries looked pretty good, but were also unexpectedly floppy. I love a good spud, and I've waxed poetic about them elsewhere (see The Hawksmoor or O'Toole's Way). These limp and flaccid taters left much to be desired. On the upside, they have a pretty decent happy hour, and we took advantage of the $10 negronis. In today's economy, drinks under $15 a pop are few and far between. Death & Co. this is not, but at half the price, I find their booze offerings acceptable. The dining scene around Broadway is notoriously lackluster, and I had higher hopes of Miss Nellie's. I'm glad to try it, and I hope our experience can just be chalked up to startup jitters.

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Absolutely gorgeous decorations- both eccentric & whimsical. Service was outstanding. I can't remember her name now (I'm sorry), but very young woman training to be a fitness trainer. She was so helpful, kind, and fun. The food was good- certainly some great flavors in there and I appreciate they are creative with the menu instead of having the exact same dishes as every other restaurant. Can't wait to return!

I am unsure why the reviews are so good here. Don't get me wrong my Negroni (on happy hour menu) was delicious and the white wine I had was decent, but the food is not good. Eggplant chips- they were so plain it was sad. Even a little salt would have helped this fried, plain eggplant slice. Boneless chicken fingers - probably the best thing we ate all night. My smash burger was pathetic and sad. First bite was so cold and not good tasting I had to send it back. The 2nd time around it was warmer but it tasted like the patty was old and dry. How can this be messed up?My friends enjoyed the French dip and chicken parm (beware it's chicken parm meatballs). I was so disappointed in my experience as I like the other restaurants / bars that the owners have. Good option for a drink right in the middle TSQ!
