Alright food. Not the best I've had. I'd much rather go to a AYCE place. Not very filling for what I paid.Service was fast. Totaled to about $60 per person.

We came here because it snowed and didn't know which one was good.We ordered budai chive, seafood noodles. The ban Chan, side dishes were sad, the food was ok but over priced. They should do little better to show what Korean food is truly. Hope they do..

We made reservations to have dinner at the Miss Korea restaurant and enjoyed our meal. My father-in-law generously paid for dinner on his credit card. Days after we left the restaurant I realized they charged me a no show fee of $320 ($40/person for eight people). I tried to call the restaurant several times and tell them to check their records and to remove the fee, but they refused. Now my father-in-law paid for dinner (which was significantly more than $320) and we paid a no show fee for that very same dinner we showed up for! What had been a great experience has been soured by the restaurant management unwillingness to acknowledge that they mistakenly charged us for this no fee and reverse the charge, leaving us to dispute it with a credit card company.

Good food/service. Freezing upstairs though. Odd timing of food, as app came far after bbq; had to ask for rice. Then busser was arguing about which size container I requested to go, just really odd/bothersome.

Food: Some food was good while most other dishes were disappointing. We ordered a large combo bbq platter which was $280. The portion was small (raw meats shown in the picture) and not worth the price. The meats did taste good but prices seem unreasonable. The only other dish I enjoyed was the spicy tofu soup that comes with the bbq. They provided two sets of the tofu soup and steamed egg for our group of seven people. I liked the tofu stew because the tofu was very soft and silky. The flavor of the broth was good as well. All of the other dishes were a disappointment compared to what I've had at other Korean restaurants in New York City. The disappointing dishes include the stir-fry spicy rice cakes, the seafood pancake, bulgogi bibimbap, and the japchae. Even the ban chan dishes were very average. I usually enjoy these dishes and ask for more, but I didn't even ask for any refills because it didn't taste good. The bibimbap had lettuce in it as one of the veggies (maybe because it's inexpensive?), which I wasn't a fan of. The seafood pancake was also very mediocre and tastes much better at BCD. The japchae was overcooked; the noodles had a mushy texture. The rice cakes were underwhelming also. For a restaurant that charges so much for each dish, I would have expected better quality. Service: Service was average. I had made a reservation for our group of 7 people. When we arrived, it took them 15 minutes to get the table ready. They said it wasn't ready yet even though there was no one at the table beforehand. I would have expected them to have the table ready if a reservation was made. The staff cook your meats for you on the grill and plate it when it's ready, but after you receive your food, they don't come back to check on you or refill your water. Anything you need afterwards you'll have to find someone (which can be hard because they're all busy and running around) to get something if needed. They automatically charge 20% tip for large parties. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size with tables for smaller and larger groups. Most tables have the vent and grill for bbq. Seating is a bit tight if you have a large group. Large tables are also spaced closely together so seating isn't too spacious. The overall decor and vibe of the restaurant is nice though. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I would maybe return to try their lunch special, but I don't think the high prices here are justified by the quality of the food.

I went with the intension to see if I could reproduce the flavor profile in my own kitchen. The wait staff was very attentive. We had a lovely experience. Loved the bokchoy kimchi!

So what do you do when you find yourself in Koreatown? Eat! My strategy was to read menus and hold out for lunch specials. I rejected one place because the stools looked uncomfortable, another because hardly anyone was inside. And then we saw Miss Korea. At 2:00 the restaurant was busy, and the lunch menu looked good.My choice was dak gui, marinated chicken. My husband chose bulgogi, thin marinated sirloin. As is Korean custom, our dishes came with banchan (small plates of sides) along with sticky rice and soup of the day.The accommodating staff fired up the grill and brought food to our table, prepared to cook it. We said we could do it ourselves, which was part of the 'experience.' You're given scissors to cut your meat and tongs. Forks available, if requested. This wasn't the best Korean meal I've had. Both chicken and beef were under-marinated and didn't have the zing we hoped for. (My only taste of bulgogi was in Atlanta's K-Pop ... and it was delicious.) T, who's been to Korea several times, said the food couldn't compare -- but then again, this restaurant is in a touristy area of NY, with seasoning perhaps toned down.If you've never had Korean BBQ, Miss Korea may be a good introduction. Lunch is cheaper than dinner, and the staff is really nice and helpful.

Not sure how I haven't reviewed Miss Korea BBQ yet, but been several times - typical, solid KBBQ spot for sure. This latest visit was for a good friend from Jersey's birthday, party of 6 for 6pm on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Service was very attentive from the outset and fielded plenty of questions from the group with pose and helpfulness. We opted to share an order of steamed pork dumplings (yum), kimchi pancakes, and ordered the BBQ Combo B (beef, pork, chicken option - marinated short ribs, marinated bulgogi, spicy pork belly, and chicken), which came with the usual assortment of sides, along with steamed egg and organic tofu soup and up to 4 orders of rice - of all it was very good, and no one left hungry. For drinks, while I wish there was more of a cocktail menu, I settled on the Hakutsuru Draft Sake, which was pretty refreshing. All in all, you really can't go wrong with a trip to Miss Korea BBQ - consistently satisfying.
