I stopped by for a wonderful modern Japanese fusion meal and stumbled upon their affordable teishoku lunch deal for $35, which comes with a soup and salad. Just the salad alone was one of the freshest and tastiest ones I've had. The interior is beautiful inside and they offer omakase as well, but we opted in for their kitchen dishes.Mocktails were refreshing and fizzy. The Gyoza filling had great umami flavor. The shrimp was fried lightly and sauced well. On to the lunch entrees, the seabass was so succulent and soft. The hamburg meat was juicy and cooked to a perfect temp.Last, but not least, the ice cream was rich and had that earthy taste that hojicha is known for. And the cheesecake was smooth and citrusy; perfection. Also really loved the service here. 10/10 all around!

Nice ambience inside super vibey. Food is decent as well. The quality of the sushi was incredible and I loved the wagyu steak from the set menu. Did not love the pepper steak as much. Overall all the food was pretty good but I would recommend getting the set menu as you can try their best tasting menu items.

Nice looking restaurant, but realistic rating is a 3.5. The pricing is pretty high for most items but the desserts are surprisingly affordable at $5 for a dessert. My husband ordered the jjigae and I had the chirashi bowl. The jjigae was $22 without seafood, but we added a supplement of $10 for the seafood. The jjigae without the seafood would have been a complete joke of a dish. The soup was watery and no rice came with it, so it you didn't have the additional seafood it would have just been a few pieces of vegetables and tofu. It was not a particularly good dish either, so at $32 it was too pricey for what it was. I ordered the chirashi and while it was nicely presented and tasted good, it was very small. I somehow left full anyway but I don't typically eat much. We ended the night with hojicha ice cram and a wafer. The waitress didn't bring any utensils for us to eat this, I thought it was odd but she overall was very nice. When I went to use the restroom, one of them didn't close so I had to go to another one. We paid the bill via inKind in time for me to use the expiring funds. This was worth it because glee didn't end up thing much

Super empty for some reason but the space is really cute and the food is really solidThe chawanmushi was a star, the Japanese Hamburg Demi glacé sauce was crazy, and the sashimi was quality-1 for not having the chef special rolls available for some reason, but +1 for a great cocktail and happy hour specialsAlso on inkind and blackbird so double bonus

Came here with my bestie and fiancé to celebrate his birthday last weekend. I randomly found it on Yelp and made a RSVP after looking through some photos and reviews. We arrived before 6pm on Saturday and it was quite empty. The ambiance was nice for a date or having a catch up sesh with a friend! We all decided to go with the chefs tasting menu ($105) and sake pairing ($70). I really enjoyed all the courses - the scallop sashimi, tuna donburi, sea bass, nigiri, a5 wagyu, dessert and dashi. Some mishaps-The sake tasting was a little confusing- I wish they either had a different sake for each course, or advised us on when to drink each since there were 5 in total but more than 5 courses. We all ended up finishing our 4th sake during our nigiri course and had nothing for the A5 wagyu course, which was extremely fatty and would've benefited from some sake to break up the fat. (The 5th sake was for our dessert round.)We were also served our dessert before our dashi course and had to ask the waiter if we were still getting it. We ended up finishing our dashi with the yuzu sake, which while delicious separately, didn't really match. My fiancé also had a slice of yuzu cheesecake with a candle with his ice cream, but my friend and I just had the ice cream. I just noticed that the menu says both so not sure why we only got the ice cream. Outside the mishaps I'd still come back again! I'd skip the sake tasting and just share a bottle next time though.

A good addition to the area. The sushi is good, but the prepared food is better. Cocktails are good as well. Service is attentive.

It really exceeded our expectation - we went there for my birthday (November) but I never got around to write this review till now (basically putting a bunch of reviews in before 2024 is over!) I hightly recommend this and definitely we will go back.I hope the pictures will show up correctly on this but every items on Chef's Tasting Menu (I understood that the chef is another Nobu alumni) was on point, high quality and don't have anything to complain about. They gave us extra glass of sake and dessert which was not in the menu, staff was very courteous. Atmosphere maches right there with where the location is at (Tribeca) and whether it be at the counter or table, you'd have a good time.It was a perfect way to end the birthday weekend.
