This is the cutest Japanese cafe from the team behind Hirohisa. It's a cafe by day and bar by night. I love coming here for a quick lunch and grabbing their Japanese sandwiches. They do pastry super well too and items like the meat pie or dacquoise are a must try. Sometimes they have bento specials too which are delicious. There's actually a ton of seating and it's great for groups of all sizes or going solo.

Super local artisanal Japanese bakery & eatery. Nice modern interior. It''s a small space so you see the staff working in the busy kitchen area that bleeds into the retail and eating space. You can come here for lunch, a tea/coffee, a snack or drinks and dinner.I came here during lunch and got a small ham sandwich and a miso soup. The miso soup is full of vegetables and they serve it with burdock root croutons. Burdock root tastes like a taro root, but has the texture of a tough stringy asparagus. They lightly coat it and bake them. It sounds strange, but I liked the woodsy tough texture. The miso soup was so filling that I didn't eat the ham sandwich until the next day. The ham sandwich was tiny- slightly bigger than a pack a playing cards but slim. The ham was a big slice of ham steak not thin sliced pieces. So despite the small size it was very filling. It had a sweet savory bbq like sauce and shredded cabbage inside. It was expensive - $8 for miso soup - around $7 for a small sandwich. So it's a bit of a splurge to support a local artisanal place, but I'll be back when I want something hand cooked and made.

I had the sakekasu in Hirohisa before, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, it was super difficult to score online. I was lucky enough to be able to reserve the matcha one. It's good but can't compete with the sakekasu one lol. Also, it's a tad too sweet on the cookie due to the sugar coating. Didn't recall this issue with the sakekasu one. Gotta get it again to confirm it.

Feels like you're transported to Japan! Stumbled across this cafe and came by for a light lunch. The tamago sandwich was surprisingly filling, the egg filling is quite dense and I've never tried the grilled egg sandwich style before. It's also made to order so it's fresh, but will take some time to make. The sakekasu cookie was really good - pastry is similar to a scone in texture, but the filling was light and buttery feeling, with a soft sake flavor. The staff was nice, and the cafe has some bar seating by the window. Overall a very chill vibe and cute place to enjoy some pastries. A bit high on the prices, but very unique items to try!

They have a nice assortment, but the prices are quite high especially considering the portions are so small. Unfortunately I didn't get to take many pictures as we purchased several items to-go, and they don't have a menu for me to reference, so I can't say exactly what we got and their prices, but this is what I recall- Strawberry Fruit Sandwich slice: the cream and strawberry were good, but the bread was seemingly plain white bread, I thought it would be slightly sweeter like a milk bread- Apple Cake: this was by far the most shocking item, it was no more than 2 bites, approximately 1" x 2" in size and it was about $5- Sake Kasu Cookie: had a nice flavor, probably the best item we gotThey have other savory items as well, including a vegan miso soup.

Made a reservation on a whim because it was the best rated and available Friday prime time. The place, the service, and the food was perfect. Ordered three "snacks", aka delicious hearty small dishes, that amazed in quality and taste. A place I will try to go more than once. Maybe the perfect summer 2024 spot.
