I've never done this before, but I must start this review with a significant warning: parking in the area is extremely limited. I would highly recommend that you take public transportation if public transit is an option available to you. Now that I have that out of the way, I've given Meadowsweet the highest possible stars because they deliver quality and excellence across all areas. I could not have been more pleased with the service level and the quality of my meal. On this particular occasion, brunch was on the menu, I must say, I was impressed that they have a very eclectic menu with a very farm-to-table experience. To see fried green tomatoes on a brunch menu in Williamsburg was a bit surprising, but I delighted in every bite. In the final summation, Meadowsweet deserves high marks, and if they keep delivering variety, exceptional service, and quality, I'm confident they will continue to receive applause.

We went to Meadowsweet for an event to try some of their tasty dishes. The inside was very open and bright, with a fully stocked bar.We tried Zero Proof drinks, Phony Negroni, and Al's Classic N/A Golden. They were both pretty good, but especially the Phony Negroni was really good! The first dish we tried was Crispy Baby Artichokes, which was delightful. I haven't really been a big fan of artichokes, but I will happily have this dish again and again! Then, Tagliatelle with chanterelle, truffle, and parmesan. Pasta was cooked just right, with an amazing truffle aroma and flavor. Next was Spanish Octopus that was cooked perfectly, with a note of smoky flavor. It had a nice kick from harissa without being too spicy. The last savory dish was Spiced Duck Breast. Tender and juicy, not too chewy, but the perfect texture. Crust of the duck was maybe my favorite bit. Delicious!Dessert was Flourless Chocolate Cake. It had the perfect gooey center, which was the best! So chocolatey without being overwhelming. We had such amazing time here. Everything we had was freakin' amazing! We will definitely go back for more delicious food in a near future.

Those who've read my prior reviews know that Brooklyn's Broadway is one of my favorite thoroughfares in the city. In addition to the grittier sections under the J/Z, the quieter Western end of the street near the East River hosts a number of notable eateries, of which Meadowsweet is probably the most well-regarded.We both wholeheartedly agreed that the broccolini appetizer was one of the best bites we had this year. Served with sautéed breadcrumbs for a bit of crunch and a healthy dose of parmesan and (quality) butter, it was decadent yet not overpowering and set a strong tone for the meal. The vegetarian main was a bit disappointing - it's a bit of a hodgepodge medley of vegetables including cauliflower, some varieties on hummus and two falafels. The very generous garnishing of dill was overpowering, and I just didn't know where to place the dish in my head.It seems like perhaps a selection of small plates is the best move here, as it's otherwise a charming option for a more upscale dinner on the "Southside."

Really nice staff at this place. It's a simple place with a comfortable aesthetic, which is nice for maybe a holiday meal with the family. The food was good, not great. The starters were quite good in the broccolini and salad. The American waygu was underwhelming and would not recommend as the meat was not the greatest quality unfortunately.

This place is the definition of 5 star. Amazing service, great vibe and stellar food. We had Valentines dinner there tonight and we couldn't recommend the spiced duck breast and the burrata squash appetizer. My wife said the squash was one of the best things she's ever eaten!

Food: a Michelin starred restaurant where the food stands up to the reputation. Interesting dishes for brunch that didn't venture too far out of its comfort zone. Chicken sandwich was extremely moist and crispy, with an interesting green sauce that added a touch of brightness and saltiness to the sandwich...one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The pastrami duck hash was salty in all the right ways with soft potatoes and a lovely parsley salsa verde. The herby flavors of the parsley salsa verde cut the rich saltiness of the duck and brought the whole dish together. Fresh squeezed orange juice accompanied champagne and also made of a very tasty mimosa. Would definitely want to visit again and try the dinner service. Service: great service with friendly neighborhood charm. Didn't feel too stuffy and was a refreshing take on a Michelin starred establishment. Ambience: very warm and cozy. A place you could dress up or dress down and would be a great place for a date or a get together with friends.

This was some of the best food I've had in a long time. The burrata and stone fruit was amazing!!!!! The roast chicken was also very juicy and savory and the passion fruit sorbet was some of the best sorbet I've have in the states. Every thing I had was absolutely delicious, the staff was friendly and we never had to ask them for anything. I cannot wait to come back.

Food - 3Value - 3.5Service / Ambiance - 5I heard wonderful things about Meadowsweet 2 years ago and never got around to trying it then. We went for dinner a few months ago and it doesn't seem like I ultimately missed that much waiting. We ordered a handful of the starters and 1-2 mains for our group of 6, intentionally under-ordering because we wanted to check out another place later on. Yet, still rang us up $40+pp without any drinks - unfortunately a ding on value.THE FOOD - We ordered the Roman Gnocchi & Braised Duck Ragu, Burrata & Autumn Squash, Cavatelli Nero, Spiced Buck Breast, Roasted Sweet Steam Cauliflower, and 1-2 other dishes I can't fully remember. I personally liked the variety of ingredients in each dish, and the emphasize on fresh pieces such as ricotta on top, or light vegetables. Unfortunately, none of the dishes was particularly memorable in hindsight, compared to other similar styles of restaurants I've been to. I do think it's still worth giving Meadowsweet a shot and trying out the food - perhaps next time I'll get the bavette or sea bass for something new.SERVICE - Staff was awesome- we arrived a bit before our reservation, exhausted from a day exploring parts of the city with guests, and they offered to let us sit down early even though dinner service wasn't ready yet. Much much appreciated.

One of our favorite new finds in Brooklyn. We had no idea what we were walking into for dinner (we had brunch here before) and let me just say: MAKE A RESERVATION. Food was cooked to perfection. The duck breast is amazing and the sides we got...just....go. We'll be coming back for sure.

Amazing tasting food, just lacking in substance.I'll preface this by saying facing, small plates is not my preference in dinner. I am generally a large eater who can appreciate good food. But if I am left too hungry with my wallet empty, it's hard for me to leave satisfied. We came with a group of six and ordered that many dishes to start. The waiter suggested we order more to make sure we were not still hungry by the end of the night. To his credit - he understood the portion sizes well.Despite paying over 30 for scallops, we only got two of them. Of course we understood that this should have been shared only between 1-2 people given the size. The gnocchi and other noodle dishes were amazing, nonetheless. They also offered us a small dessert for one of our party member's birthdays - a nice treat to end the night! If there was some simple bread or other filling app that would have made it perfect.
