Came for brunch this past sunday and want to start by saying the bartender was amazing and knew what I wanted before I even did. I got a paloma (amazing! not too sweet, super balanced) and the shrimp and grits. Lawd, the shrimp and grits were creamy and buttery and absolutely delicious! The greens served on the side were tangy and cut the richness of the grits well. Also, the hot sauce they have here is incredible and really added to the dish, so make sure you ask for it!Ambiance is lovely, would definitely come back with a date or friends.

Solid new American food! Hubby and I split the two vegetarian entrees. The mushroom ravioli has a delicious mushroom flavor and the mushrooms are perfectly cooked (but the dish was a little too salty). The cauliflower custard was actually surprisingly amazing and my favorite dish. Such an interesting texture I've never had cauliflower in before. Unique and tasty!Great dinner spot and service is great too!

I like splurging on a nice meal now and then, but this was stupid expensive for what we got. A small glass of coke was like $4.50 and the refill was the same amount. A side of toast (once slice, from a bag) was like five bucks. Service was nice enough. Ambiance is cozy. But man. The bill was $70 for basic food I could have (and wished I did) just cook at home.

This place is very mediocre and the price is ridiculous for its quality and portion size. The cake was good but four tiny pieces which do not even equate to one whole slice of cake is $11 and the ravioli was about 8 pieces and is $25. The cheese on the ravioli tasted cheap and flavorless. I am willing to pay for good food but this fell short.

Solid Crown Heights spot. Can usually get a table if you show up early, but they also take reservations. Great place to sit at the bar if dining solo. Consistently good food for the last ~10 years. The service here is also top notch. Lots of staff turnover like most restaurants but the new servers they hire are always super knowledgeable and friendly and welcoming. The bartenders always make great cocktails. No pretension despite the trendy neighborhood and vibes. Small things: The chairs at the tables aren't very comfortable - weird bench seating that they've had forever and I wish they would update. It's awkward to sit at the 6 top with 4 people when two of the chairs are fused together. Hard to explain this but if you go and sit at a low 6 top you'll know what I mean. If you're wearing shorts or a skirt the slatted style seating digs into your skin. The menu has been mostly the same for a long time and I like consistency, so no complaints there, but some of the dishes seem a little tired - I swear the kale salad used to be better. Overall this is still in my top 3 crown heights restaurants and if you're in the neighborhood, visiting prospect park or the BK museum, it's a great lunch or dinner option. Highly recommend!

Food: If you want to make your palate happy, this is a great neighborhood spot. Brunch: The steaks and eggs are well seasoned and always cooked to the requested temperature. Happy Hour: This is my favorite because you can't beat $1.50 for fresh oysters and beer. Service: The servers are attentive, and the bartenders are friendly. I love there is usually a basketball game on the screen. Ambiance: During the weekend, it is busy and can be a bit noisy if you are sitting at a table. I prefer the bar-top tables towards the back because I prefer hearing the people at my table. During the weekdays, it is a quieter and cute place to have a date night or get caught up with friends.

I'm only writing this review because although this may seem like a no frills spot, I had one of the best crispy chicken sandwiches I've had in my entire life. Kudos to them!! The kale salad was fresh and both our servers were really friendly and great at suggesting menu items in full detail.

Ehh Kinda mediocre. Drinks were strong, atmosphere was decent and our waitress was kind and informative. We started with the oysters and they were deliciously fresh! For my entree I went with the trout... it was covered in almost like an aioli cream that overpowered the fish.. they put way too much of it on it. My date got the steak and the steak itself was yummy but the fries served with it were super salty. I think this place is skippable.

I think they aren't open for bunch on Saturdays anymore. Apparently I need an 85 character minimum in order to post.
