Very good sauce, which is the key to a touristy Italian restaurant. Very good lasagna, very good gnocchi, Caesar salad excellent. Eggplant Parmesan was wonderful. Professional service. Tight spaces. Robust atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Overall: 1/5Food: 3.5/5 - I came here with my sister and I got the Margherita pizza and she got the pasta (penne alla vodka) and the taste was alright. The pizza tasted like any other pizza comparable to restaurants in the nyc area and the pasta was a little dry. I do think the pizza was better as the pasta tasted like something I could make for better back at home.Value: 3/5 - The total ended up being close to $60 with tip and I guess that's standard for the area (?) but I could have gotten a slice of pizza from another place that would have tasted similar or better from another place. The pasta was alright but was again something that can easily be made at home. Nothing about this place stood out.Service: 2/5 - Our server was inattentive, slow, and was not that friendly. The restaurant was near empty when we first entered, but we were still ignored and our orders were not taken for a long time until the bartender stopped by and took our order finally (not the server). The basics of the server was lacking with no water refills until asked and even then, being given that nearly ten minutes after the fact. Furthermore, this place charges a credit card fee which is illegal in the state of new york. There is no mention of this before the fact."As of February 11, 2024, it is illegal for New York merchants to separately list the pre-surcharge subtotal or even the separate line item surcharge amount. " (https://www.lawpay.com/about/blog/credit-card-surcharge-rules/)Overall, this place was underwhelming, lacking in taste and experience. The service was subpar to the point that my sister and I were frustrated and the food was not that great to justify that and the price. Would not come back or recommend.

I was looking for an Italian spot in nearby Little Italy that wasn't crowded, had available reservations, and had decent reviews. This was ok. Just ok.The service was attentive, so nothing lacking there. Lots of space, an indoor/outdoor vibe. For a while, I was the only one there. As they were playing the soccer game, a lot of people eventually poured in, some nicer than others. One verbally abused a host, and that wasn't cool. I got my check quickly after that. The thing that really knocked this meal down for me was the bruschetta. It didn't help that I had had some AMAZING bruschetta the night before, at a different establishment, but this was just bad. I would be surprised if the tomatoes weren't canned, but they may have been "fresh." They were unfortunately super bland and actually had a spoiled taste to them. It affected the whole mood from there on out.I ordered the rigatoni bolognese, which was fine. The pasta wasn't quite al dente as I like it, but it wasn't mushy. The meat sauce was hearty, but not well seasoned.I had a few cocktails--aperol spritz (a little too bitter), poison ivy (vodka, st. Germain, lime, simple syrup, muddled cucumber and mint, black pepper), and one other that escapes me.Serves the standard Italian fare--pizza, various iterations of spaghetti, gnocchi, vodka sauce pastas. But there are many places that do it better. I wouldn't come here again.

They have a great pasta menu and we were impressed with all dishes... Carbonara, Penne Vodka and Lasagna... but the best dish on table was rich Bolognese Ragu sauce that was delicious. We had a table of Six, shared Diablo Chianti Classico and enjoyed sharing time. Service was prompt and friendly. Portions are big

Marcellino was great! This was a neighborhood gem in Little Italy (Lower Manhattan). This restaurant sold fresh and authentic Italian food, from pizza to ravioli, and you could also substitute items for food preparation (I'm gluten free/paleo/have a citrus sensitivity). The ambience was classic, with white paper tablecloths and fresh bread. The music took a nod to Italy as well, along with classic 70s, 80s, and 90s music (Italian classics in those decades as well). It's a small restaurant, so be prepared to sit crammed up with other patrons.

Had an amazing time!! Went for a girls night and we had so much. If you're looking for cozy, fun dinner to set you up for a fun night then this is the PLACE! The food was also delicious. I ordered the penne vodka and I'm still thinking about it. They surprised me in the best way. 10/10.

The restaurants interior was small and ambient. The waiter came to take our orders, bring water and bread relatively quickly. The food arrived in about 20 minutes after ordering. There was a hair in the fettuccine Alfredo(not shown in pictures) but the staff was apologetic and quickly remade the food in 5 minutes. The pasta was creamy and savory. The assorted shellfish were in a thin, garlicky white sauce that was super yummy. The salad's dressing was underwhelming. The pizzas were pretty good. In total the food was a tad pricey, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

FABULOUS THANKSGIVING DINNER!Came to NYC to take my son and 5 of his musician friends to dinner for the holiday and were treated to great food and EXCEPTIONAL service from our server NESTOR who handled our table of 8 like a champ! And it wasn't easy! Lots of apps & 8 different orders, drinks & desserts but he was a boss! The ambience was fun & festive, the menu varied, the food tasty & well-prepared, the staff professional. What a great place! We'll be back! Thanks for making it a magical night!!
