This was my second visit, and it was even better than the first! From start to finish, the service was impeccable--flawlessly executed. The vibe of the restaurant is warm and inviting, setting the tone for an amazing experience. The food was outstanding. The new potato ravioli is a must-try; one bite is all it takes to understand why. The duck and scallops were equally fantastic--flavorful and perfectly prepared.I didn't drink alcohol this time, but they had great selections of mocktails if that's your thing.Although I didn't order dessert, the staff surprised me with a delicious chocolate chip treat for my birthday. It was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture that made the evening even more special.Highly recommend--can't wait to return!

This was my first time at the new location, and it definitely feels a bit cozier than their previous spot down the block. The space gets a little tight especially around the entrance, but once you're seated you feel right at home.We had the hiramasa which I highly recommend you try. It's one of the their better known dishes and is a pretty unique tasting experience. They also have a rotating seasonal menu of "exploding" raviolis, with the current iteration being all the flavors of a baked potato packed into a ravioli. We also had the chili lobster and chicken under a brick - two staples that I've gotten every time that I've come here and have never disappointed. We finished up our dinner with the pumpkin cheesecake. The staff was attentive, but we did feel a little rushed by the busboy during each course. While we still had a pleasant and relatively unhurried meal, we were told as we were finishing our main course that they needed the table back in 15 minutes for another party. It would have been nice to know earlier in the dinner since we ate at a reasonable pace but didn't understand why the busboy was in such a rush. We would not have minded the heads up and felt like we still had plenty of time to dine especially if they communicated to us earlier.

I love la this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend who has lived in NYC for 40 years who said they have the best roast chicken in the city. Our waiter recommended the Shishitos and they did not disappoint. The Duck in a jar was also delicious, as was the Laotian sushi. We also enjoyed the Corn explosion ravioli which is light and delicate and does explode, so biting into the ravioli was not recommended. The sourdough with cultured butter was delicious and we loved the presentation. The mind blowing dish was the Hiramasa. Get this dish! I'm so glad that our waiter recommended it.My mother and nephew had the chicken. Not knowing how one defines "big" we ordered two of them, and the halibut. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. We should have ordered one chicken but it allowed my nephew to take a lot of food home. We finished our meal with the 10-minute cookies which were delicious. My only complaint was the service which was on the slower side despite there being a ton of staff.Great wine and drink selection. I'd definitely go back!

3.7 stars for Forgione (Forge? Marc Forgione?), which in its former space was a personal favorite when I lived in Tribeca.Food: 3 stars. The menu, like the restaurant itself, struggled with identity. In the same breath, we ordered Japanese, Italian, American, and French. And he who chases 4 rabbits catches none. Also sadly the biscuits that were such a highlight at Marc Forgione (and American Cut) were nowhere to be found.Service: 3 stars. Our waiter was very friendly but overly talkative, speaking for minutes at a time after simple questions. We also had a stretch where we didn't see him for about 30 minutes after we had finished our mains.Ambiance: 5 stars. Beautiful upscale rustic space, and good people watching. The space is a freshened up, modernized version of its former digs. Every table was taken and the bar area was buzzy - would be a good place to grab a cocktail with a date or friend.

Am absolutely STUFFED after this incredible meal at Forgione. Immediately a favorite after tonight. We started off with the sourdough bread which was so fire, crispy and grilled and came with this butter that was wrapped in a hardened cheese that was insanely good. Our cocktails then arrived and I got the vodka one which had corn something and butter something in it - I was a little nervous but holy hell it did not disappoint, it tasted like a light refreshing milkshake with hints of pizza... don't take my word for it just try it. Then we got the hiramasa tartare, it came with a bud of a schechwan flower to "awaken your tastebuds" and boy oh boy were my tastebuds awoke. Then a small bite of fish- they call it "the perfect bite"- to follow before we were to dig into the actual tartare. Guys... so many wonderful flavors, so fresh, actually one of the best tartares i've had . Then we had the lobster starter - and i'm not typically a fan of anything with spice but i would eat this dish over and over again it was delish. The broth was a siracha lime flavor but not overwhelmingly spicy. We also got the exploding corn starter which was named well as the ravioli did indeed explode upon cutting with a fork, luckily the debris missed both of our outfits. The corn ravioli was genuinely MINDBLOWING - it tasted kinda like pizza? but a very refined, very delicate pizza. . As if I wasn't already STUFFED we both got the halibut entree... bruh... lemme tell you that ish was FIRE (as in DELICIOUS). The crispy sourdough top and the roasted veggies in broth and hazelnuts - literally all so insane and good. I don't think i've ever had such a well balanced yet complex and flavorful dish. I would like this to be served to me as my last meal. by this point the pants had been unbuttoned but i would not yield - We ordered "the egg" dessert which was to be a surprise and the cookies. The cookies were awesome - zero complaints but the EGG! YUM! It was this white chocolate egg with mango filling and some sort of mousse to accompany it. Our waiter came over, held up "the egg" said "this is the egg" and threw it into the bowl to crack it. It felt oddly religious - tbh this whole dinner felt heavenly so how thrilling that this was the final course. Service amazing, the waiter was so helpful and nice giving us great recommendations. Ambiance - lovely. Food - literally my new death row meal. I fear no meal shall live up to this one. Spread my ashes at Forgione . One of the greatest meals ever.

Glad I made it here before they close this location. Extraordinary stories, great ambience, thoughtful service, and absolutely delicious food. I had all the greats: the chili lobster, brick chicken, and the whimsical egg dessert. Fantastic flavors.

The little things mean everything. How much much effort did it take to check our left overs so they don't sit on the table? Very little. How much of a difference does it make? Everything! Perfect service. I mean flawless. Suggestions of food, how it's oroared, and it only begins there. Evrrhting you would expect from a fine dining 5 star restaurant and is exceptional. The food was off the hook. The duck ina jar, chicken under brick, everything. And a great old fashion Check out this awesome place. You won't regret it. Perfect for any occasion.

I've dined here a few times for special occasions and it's become a tradition with my partner and I to either have our anniversary or one of our birthdays here every year. The food and service is incredible but what really makes it special is how they make you feel. The last time we dined here they gave us a glass of champagne and there was a note waiting at our table for us to congratulate us on our anniversary.
