This restaurant is a hit or a miss, I feel they try too much things. Sometime simple and good is just right. Either the food too pepper or it just taste bad. Dem all ova the place. Them not even have a name for what they cook sometimes. It's just the protein and vegetable and a gravy. The ladies behind the counter are all over the place,Too much chattings.. listen you have the potential to be a better restaurant. Slow and steady wins the race.. and please beg you do... taste all the food you have before serving to customers. It will make a hell of a difference

Really wanted to like this based off the reviews but it fell flat for the most part . The lady behind the counter gave me the most disgusting look because I didn't want "juice" along with my meal . Oh and about that meal ... the pic speaks for itself. Stew chicken but with an absolutely unsightly piece of skin still attached that would make your skin crawl if you're as picky as I am . The chicken ended up in the garbage and the rice and peas I'd admit was good . One and done here though .

I had my friend/coworker deliver this meal to the office so I did not have direct contact while ordering with the restaurant however the food that my friend brought back was AMAZING. I ordered jerk chicken over rice and peas and the jerk chicken was so full of spice and had such an amazing fiery taste to it. I've never had jerk chicken this wonderful before. The dry rub on the jerk chicken was perfection. I got a meal for $5 too so for this quality of chicken, it's so worth it. Chicken was not dry at all and the rice was cooked well to compliment the flavor of the chicken. Sold! I also got to try the macaroni salad and it was sweet and creamy, and not loaded with mayo like some places do. Overall, the food here was really yummy and I'd order again.

I like this spot when I'm out in BK. I would give five stars but attitudes of some of these women should be adjusted. I just feel that if you have alot of people coming to buy your food, yes I will admit its very tasty food, but your customers should never feel like they need to hurry or if they are unfamiliar with some of the items that they should be able to ask about what it is or what's in it, without the server giving attitude. I think they have many selections than most Caribbean restaurants around the area don't have, and most of the food is better than those spots anyway. Sometimes I prefer to find or eat somewhere else just because I'm not in the mood to just except the attitude that they give here. So if you make a visit here be ready for the attitude and know what you want or at least have an idea of what you want. It's a good thing I don't visit often, I would definitely speak up about it.

The jerk chicken here is SO GOOD. I had a small jerk chicken with a side of steamed cabbage and my brother had a medium honey fried chicken with a side of mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. There's no menu (yet?) so you have to go in and see for yourself what they have. The small plate was $6 and medium was $8, so the prices are great!I will definitely be going back often. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the neighborhood!

I've never had a bad experience here. What a wonderful blessing it is to have food that is well prepared and seasoned with passion located only a few minutes from work. In the heart on Flatbush, Mandeville entered the community with a bang. From its first day of business to the present, this restaurant has yet to serve me bad food. The jerk chicken is real. One thing I hate is going to these so-called self proclaimed Caribbean restaurants is asking for jerk chicken but instead getting barbecued chicken with jerk sauce on top. No honey, the chicken needs to be marinated in jerk seasoning THEN cooked. When I bite into my jerk chicken, I want to taste jerk seasoning INSIDE of the meat. Mandeville does just that. They season their food with love and you taste it each and every time. ** let's not forget that breakfast is also served here. Salt fish, porridge, bakes, the whole nine yards. P.s. the oxtail is never too fatty**

Wanted to try this place out since it's near me, and i had a craving for Roti. The interior is clean and you can pretty much see what the options are since it's set up like a mini buffet (only behind a glass, so you don't serve yourself).I opted for a large jerk chicken and mashed potatoes (didn't want rice or rice and peas). The potatoes could have been mashed a bit more. The jerk chicken itself was OK, but I've had better when my mom makes it and from other Jamaican stores in the area. They did have other options such as grilled salmon, oxtail, curry chicken, curry goat, etc....This review will need to be updated soon since i'd like to give them another shot for their roti, so stay tuned!
