My new favorite hand roll spot. A really special, peaceful little bar tucked away in Chelsea Market with such fresh, top-notch salmon, lobster, and yellowtail. Insanely creamy uni from Hokkaido, Japan and a fatty tuna-and-caviar hand roll. The lobster and uni rolls were my favorites. The flavors and ingredients are on another level here than other hand roll spots in the city. Shoutout to Jirho who was the kindest! So warm and welcoming and helpful with ordering. 5 stars!!!!

Arriving with no reservation, we were greeted and seated immediately by the friendly host. We opted in for their 5-piece handroll set and one of their premium handrolls (The "Best Bite). Below are my personal thoughts on each handroll in order served to me. 1. Scallop: The scallops were tender, fresh and the touch of yuzu tobiko on top really added to the overall flavour of the handroll. 2. Lobster: The lobster was succulent, and the overall dressing didn't overpower the natural taste of the lobster. 3. Unagi: The unagi tasted fine, but nothing I haven't had before. It didn't blow me away or was memorable. 4. Tuna: This was just okay, but I personally would have preferred whole chunks of tuna vs minced which is a personal preference. Taste-wise, pretty standard. 5. Yellowtail: I found the dressing to overpower the taste of the yellowtail. The taste of fish was hidden but butteryness of the yellowtail was noticeable. 6. The "Best Bite": This included A5 wagyu beef, fatty tuna, uni (sea urchin), caviar and fresh truffle. This is literally one of the best bites of food I've ever had. On top of being absolutely stunning, it took me a moment to admire the beauty of this handroll before indulging. 100% worth every penny. Overall, this was a nice place to grab a quick lunch, and I would gladly return and try another premium handroll.

Visit: Aug 2024 Was so excited to see kakigori but was then super disappointed that the kakigori took forever and was missing the advertised soft serve. I did feel bad for what looked like a solo employee who was manning the booth. I didn't confirm that the soft serve was indeed missing until I was looking at photos later in the day.

Decent hand rolls, nice interiors, able to walk in and get a seat on a Saturday lunch, a little pricey. Liked the tamago and eggplant the best. Surprisingly didn't love the fatty tuna or salmon.

Came here for a quick lunch before spending the day sight seeing. The restuarant is nice ... modern, bright and clean. The service is friendly and efficient. The concept is one long sushi roll though the size is more in line with a lumpia (skinny and long vs thick round rolls that a sliced into either 6 or 8 individual pieces). It's a set menu where you can order 3, 4 or 5 sushi rolls (pre set - tuna, lobster, salmon, etc) or you can order ala carte. The rolls come out one by one as the chef prepares it. The sushi fish itself is fresh. The lobster was mixed with something and so was the yellowtail so it's not just straight up sashimi grade fish. The seaweed wrapper is fresh and there's a lot of it so the proportions are a little off. At times the seaweed can get soggy from the warm rice and therefore tough to bite through. Served with ginger and green mustard. You are given a full bottle of water (tap) which was nice as I was pretty thirsty and didn't have to keep asking the waiter for more water. It is in Chelsea Market so while it felt a little expensive ($25 for 4 rolls) it may have been on par with the area. Nice place, glad I went there to try it out.

This place ranks up there with Kazunori. We got the 5 piece set and each piece was handcrafted and offered one right after another. The seaweed wrap was crispy, the fish was seasoned, sauces and fresh, the ambiance was refined and the service was very attentive. The soy sauce container was annoying and leaked all over. The prices were average for a hand roll restaurant. Would definitely return if I was in the area.

Service was great. Waiters were quick with water. Food was made a little slow.Ordered the 5 piece set. It was okay, but there are better hand rolls in the city. You sit around the chef, as they make your roll.

Ordered: 5 piece hand roll set Stumbled upon this gem after walking the high lines and wandering into Chelsea market. It was the first restaurant we saw, I was hungry and the decor/ vibes drew me in. We were quickly seated and ordered immediately. The hand rolls are fresh! The rice is warm, the seaweed is crisp. It didn't fall apart when eating. Every hand roll was dressed in additional sauces and toppings which enhanced the flavor of each type of fish.

Currently my favorite mid priced hand roll place in nyc! It felt like kazu nori, but better and without the wait! I walked in Friday at 6:15pm and there was zero wait. I got the 4 piece handroll and thought it was the right amount of food. They were all delicious and I can't wait to come back! The staff was super nice too and the restaurant is really cute.

Everything we tried was vey flavorful. The star of this show for me was the ceviche. Like I can close my eyes and remember the flavors. Do damn good!
